Great texture, not too sweet , just the right size. We gobbled them up. Next time I'm up Down East, I'll definitely be stopping by again, hopefully earlier in the day to try more kinds. The flavor doesn't hit you immediately but develops as you chew. A novel donut. Lemon, vanilla, and blueberry were my favorites. The whoopie pie donut tastes just like a whoopie pie, if that's your thing. I was a little disappointed in the sweet potato ginger -- I don't think I could have identified the flavors in a blind tasting, too subtle. But still tasty. Check the fine print or ask. *Coast-to-Coast shopping options, including vending machines (we saw some at PWM). *Online ordering available for pickup. Tbh this is probably the way to get them, as you can skip the line and go straight to the back at the pickup window and just get your stuff right quick. The Meh: *You'll most likely have to pay for parking at this DT location. *You'll also most likely encounter a large line to order from, depending on the time of day. The coffee was excellent and free refills and self serve. I went for the apple fritter which i think was as big as my head, as the wonderful woman at the counter suggested it. This pastry was the absolute best apple fritter i have ever had. I don't expect something so large and from a vietnamese bakery to be so amazing since i don't correlate apple fritters with Vietnamese food. But i will from now on!!!
