First time trying Old Town and a little disappointed. Ordered a sesame bagel toasted with 2 fried eggs, sausage/ salt and pepper. The sesame bagel wasn't toasted and they added ketchup. I HATE ketchup Also ordered an everything bagel extra toasted with cream cheese, I got an EGG bagel, not toasted. for $18, I'd expect to get what I ordered. lol I understand people made mistakes and I'm sure they would have fixed it, but unfortunately I was headed to NC and checked the bag when I was already 30 mins out. Old Town Bagel came highly recommended so of course I had to try it. Located in a strip mall, the interior decor is wonderful displaying old photos of the area. On a Sunday morning they had a great selection of many flavors of bagels. The service was perfect. My only suggestion is toasting the bagel a little longer, mine missed that slight crunch I expected. Just another bagel place... very inconsistent with the way things are made. One day pork roll is thin and two pieces, some days it's thick and one. Price is not a deal by any means. This place is just awesome--best bagels in South Jersey! We've been coming here for 5+ years now (so this review is clearly long overdue). Their breakfast sandwiches are incredible! My go-to is the Pork Roll, Egg Whites, & Pepper Jack Cheese on a Toasted & Scooped Egg Bagel with Black Pepper & Ketchup (complicated, but they manage to get it right...deliciously right!). They have a wide array of bagels, deli meats, muffins (Double Chocolate muffin here is amazing!), fresh squeezed orange juice (as in they make it when you order it), coffee, and all the likes. I came in here after a long run because I needed carbsss and these bagels totally did the trick! I ordered a "half dozen," which is 7 here. The woman sliced each one and threw in a few extra! Sometimes, it's the small things :) The bagels themselves are very fluffy and fresh - I had a pumpernickel one when I got home and it was good! I would definitely come here again. Overall, it's really good! My only real critique is the stock is unpredictable. Sometimes they're almost sold out by 10am others they're open their full shift. I know that they only have so much control as it depends on how busy they are, but it is unfortunate to go in during hours and there be little to no options. With that being said... the bagel are great quality and delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are huge and filling. The vegetable cream cheese is delicious! I wish there was more though lol read more

Great bagel shop with really friendly employees! They have a nice selections of high quality bagels, and it was the first thought a friend and I had for giving friends who are from the South their first real bagels. I don't think either I nor they could have been more impressed! The bagels are quick to come out and are toasted to perfection. They aren't too pricey, and the lines haven't been too long when we went either. DELICIOUS pork bun! The restaurant as suggested to us the first time around, and I can totally see why it was! This place is a joke they are literally out of bagels by 9 o'clock in the morning, what a horrible business plan, and horrible business. Needs new ownership or management someone needs to tell them that breakfast and bagels should not be gone by 9 AM, don't think it's because you're selling so good, it's because you don't make enough. read more

I do love the bagels and especially the scallion cream cheese. But I have to say I am extremely dissatisfied with the service. Their menu says they serve breakfast and lunch all day. It also says they close at 2PM. The last two days they were out of bagels and closed around 10AM. Today they were closed, lights out and employees gone before 10AM. is not uncommon as I have gone other days and they close before lunch time because they are out of bagels. I have difficulty understanding after many years in business why they have not yet decided to make sufficient supply to deliver on their commitment to customers to stay open till 2PM and to serve lunch. I guess this aligns with the fact that no one has claimed this business here on yelp and therefore management does not care to receive nor react to reviews that could make them aware of their shortfalls. Another perspective is they are satisfied with the income they are making and are not interested in making more or keeping their employees working till 2PM to earn wages in these trying times. read more

I'm not really sure what's happened to old town but service has fallen off. All things considered with covid, the last 3-4 times we have been there our order is ALWAYS wrong. Last time our entire bagel order was wrong and they forgot my wees sandwich and this time it was not just a little wrong, the entire order was wrong. This last trip was our last one. We ordered a dozen bagels, 2 bagel sandwiches and 2 cream cheeses. Typically when they are out of something they'll tell us when you call in and one of the sandwiches we ordered they said the type of bagel and cream cheese was out, so we changed to a different type. The other sandwich was a bacon egg and cheese on an egg bagel, can't screw that up right? I get the order and immediately check because they've been missing stuff consistently. Missing the second sandwich that was just a toasted bagel and cream cheese. I go back and tell them I'm missing it, customer service person looks at the receipt and shows its not listed (but I sat next to my wife and listened to her order it), as they tell me we didnt order it. I get home and my wife points out the entire bagel order is wrong and we were shorted 2 bagels (again, last time they only gave us 10 as well). I opened my basic bacon egg and cheese on an egg bagel, and it was pork roll with a different cheese and bagel. Best of all, the toasted bagel with cream cheese I had to reorder was wrong. They didn't toast it. I stood right in front of them and ordered it, they wrote it down and still got it wrong. It's a shame because the bagels are excellent and the food is great but after several trips and incorrect orders, it's become a job to have to check every order and return (sometimes) when my order is wrong because now it's a given. I understand with covid the take out volume has increased but this service issue started prior to covid and has progressively got worse. I'll give it another try later this year and hopefully it's improved read more

Ok it's 6:38AM... I was going to waIt to review this place when I got hOmE from work but I couldn't wait. I pass this place all the time on my way to jobs and never stopped. Today i was early and said let me grab a bagel for me and my co-worker. Best decision I have made in a while. These bagels were literally the BEST I have had in Philadelphia/ South Jersey. Growing up in NYC/ North Jersey bagels I am hard to please and these were unreal. I swear if you sold these in Staten Island people wouldn't kNow they were made in south jersey.. the vegetable cream cheese was so good and freSh it tasted like they just made it tO order. The bagels were perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft when you bit it. The ladies at the front desk were really nice and friendly too. I can't believe we lived right down the street and haven't stopped in until now. I guess from the outside, it doesn't look like more than a little bakery. Inside there are lots of seats, it's clean and nicely decorated. The bagels are great, but what is awesome about this place is the quality of everything they make.
