Cute, small, local spot, cash only but atm on site and they said they use Zelle now too. Fast and friendly service, good breakfast food and huge pancakes. Been going here for years, it's a great place and it fills you up.

Extremely generous portions really good corned beef hash just really good home-style food Update: I forgot to post this years ago but I've been here a dozen times and it's always great! The corned beef hash is always my go to.

Went to Red Hill Coffee Shop with my parents and niece. I ordered the pancakes with bacon bits and a hot chocolate. I loved that every mug was different--mine had a cute dog on it! The hot chocolate didn't come with refills, but it came with two jumbo marshmallows, which I've never had at a breakfast spot before--such a fun touch. The pancakes were okay. I had higher expectations; they weren't very sweet and the bacon bits didn't really stand out. But they were huge portions, had a lot of leftovers. I'd probably try something else next time, but I'd definitely come back--my husband's always wanted to try this place. The inside is very cozy, but definitely tight. It's a small space, tables are close together, and there's usually a wait. My mom even accidentally bumped into the people at the next table because of how close everything was. Parking is also limited, so be prepared for that.

If you can't decide, order everything!

Went for a run on the Electric Trail and found this gem 5 minutes away. Small dinner with home cooked food, Yum! I loved their pancakes with bacon bits which is more like bacon pieces! My brother in law raved about the fluffy biscuits with gravy. The staff was very nice, I will definitely be coming back again. Heads up, they accept cash only but there is an ATM outside.

The best biscuits and gravy I have ever tasted! First of, parking lot is kind of small but never had an issue finding parking. Upon entering you know it's a gonna be a good mom and pop coffee shop. If you don't know now you know the biscuits and gravy are the best in California!! So delicious and full of flavor! My daughter loves the happy face pancakes and my husband order the sausage egg and cheese omelette. The portions here are big for the price. If you ever are in the area make this a must stop! Service here is superb! Liliana is amazing she's always so sweet whenever she serves us and makes our day with her smile. The ambiance here is very chill, the music is perfect not too loud and matches the vibe of this place! It is a small spot but you get seated quickly, love red hill!

A small place on old Route 66. It's an old building, with an old kitchen, old decorations and even old employees. That being said it's nice and quiet on the inside, with regulars and other people coming and going, the employees saying hi to everyone that comes in. The newest pieces of equipment are the register, what I believe to be their online order system sitting in the corner, and the older iPads they use to input the orders into their system . The menu is limited but full of classic American breakfast options. I sat at the bar right in front of their small kitchen, and as soon as I sat down I was asked if I wanted coffee and then handed a menu and given a few minutes to look at the menu. I ordered the ham steak with 3 eggs over-medium, hash browns, a biscuit with gravy on the side and coffee. Their coffee is nothing special, just classic diner coffee. The food comes out pretty quickly and hot. The ham steak was juicy and well cooked, the eggs came out a perfect over medium, the hash browns were wonderfully crispy and a bit oily, the biscuit was fine with a side of traditional white gravy. Nothing special, nothing overly fancy or overpriced, just classic diner breakfast. It was a perfectly traditional breakfast experience where everything comes out just as they've been making it for years. For the price, the portions are good, it's hot, good enough and sometimes that's all you need.

Nestled along the historic Route 66, Red Hill Coffee Shop is a homage to the classic Midwest small-town diners we all love. When you walk in, you're treated like family by attentive owners, who have created a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is what you want from a cozy roadside diner. The pancakes are delicious--fluffy and golden brown--paired with fresh eggs and savory meats. The coffee flows freely, just as it should, with the friendly waitstaff ensuring your cup is never empty. The staff checks on you multiple times throughout your meal, making sure everything is right. Despite the good food and service, the prices are unexpectedly reasonable. When you're passing through, stop here on Route 66. It's a slice of classic Americana where you can enjoy a delicious meal in a warm, family owned and family-friendly setting without breaking the bank.

Red hill cafe, what can I say? It really does live up to the local standard. It's no surprise that this small town restaurant survived Covid with their resilient and hard working staff. Everything about the food felt hearty and delicious. My partner& I walked in famished& left satisfied and waddling to our cars. Steak, eggs& biscuits. Yum! The hashbrowns were perfectly crisp, the eggs, runny the way we asked, the steak was medium, tender and everything you want in your steak at 10am. The staff were very friendly& in this particular instance, they ran out of biscuits and although one order was more than enough, they still knocked off a dollar which felt refreshing. We will be back!

Red Hill has a pretty nice classic American diner feel to it which is always inviting. It gets pretty busy in the morning for breakfast and the parking is okay but limited it seems. The food very good. There's nothing special you can really do with my dish but they have a generous amount of everything to which I was really full at the end. I wish they had a country potatoes option instead of the hash browns but it's all good. Overall, good place for breakfast, great service, good food, and nice ambience

What a fantastic little spot, and a true tribute to the spirit of Route 66. The polis sausage scramble is a real Midwestern treat.

Very straightforward, but really well balanced. If you've never had chicory coffee before, it has a deeper, slightly earthy flavor that stands out from a standard cold brew without being overly bitter. It feels inspired by Louisiana/New Orleans-style coffee rather than the super sugary "dessert coffee" trend that a lot of places lean into right now. What I especially appreciate is the price point. At around $5.75, it feels reasonable for a specialty coffee drink that still tastes unique and intentional.

I've been to the location in Costa Mesa and remembered having a positive experience there which is why I didn't hesitate to set my navigation to this location. I almost felt like I was walking into a kumbaya and I was inconveniencing the employees interactions. The interior also is so... bare... and looks like they didn't even attempt to try to make the coffeeshop seem or feel cozy and inviting. The traditional whisk is made with bamboo, but it's not well utilized commercially because it tends to break off. I chose that one considering I'm only making the Matcha for myself. They use a whisk made with resin in the shop. My Vanilla Bean Dream was so delicious! I opted for Matcha versus coffee as the base, rich, deep and earthy not too sweet.
