Terrible quality polish and poor communication. I showed a picture of nails that I wanted, and they said it was possible. When the look I wanted to not match the picture, they said they needed to add chrome. I was never told of the $12 uncharge. As I was paying, I already noticed bubbles and bumps on my nails. I didn't want to be picky so I proceeded onward. The next day the top layer of my nails were already peeling off. Chrome/ top gel layer continues to peel off. Total waste of money. Additionally, I said I wanted pearly white color on my toe nails, similar to my fingers. The lady didn't understand, nodded her head and painted them normal white. On top of everything, there was a loud person on FaceTime basically screaming into her phone the entire time. It was not a customer, maybe a friend of an employee? I live in Northern California but stumbled on Old Town Nails and Spa when visiting my in-laws and let me tell you, what a gem! The salon is spacious and clean with extremely friendly and competent professionals. I had to get my nails down as the place I went to where I leave botched my daughter's and my nails to the point that we walked out halfway through and my nails were a mess. Ava did my nails and she did an incredible job. She felt so bad that I had a poor experience back home. Everything was perfect. I am so happy with my nails. I wish this salon had another location in the Bay Area. This will definitely be my stop when I come to visit. My daughter got acrylic nails and they look beautiful! She is so happy with them. The price here is also reasonable, especially for the quality of work. I also got a pedicure, which I rarely do because I hate my feet, but they made them look cute. I urge you to please make an appointment with KEVIN. Here is a bit of background on the state of my nails. I'm a chronic nail biter (I know, it's gross), so I don't have long nails. When I use the nail clippers, my nails have jagged edges and look horrible. I was going to a fancy restaurant, and needed my nails cleaned up and painted. I made an appointment with Kevin at 9:30 in the morning, which is when they opened. Now, I was nervous about not finding parking due to it's close proximity to Old Town Temecula. The parking lot was empty. I was surprised that the nail salon was even open earlier than their scheduled opening time. The vibe of the place is very calming. Kevin was happy to get started on my horrible nails. I even apologized for the horrible state of my nails. He laughed and went straight to work. He started with a very thorough manicure. I have had only one manicure years ago at a different location, and the manicure was really fast and felt rushed. With Kevin, he was very meticulous and took his time. At one point, I thought the manicure was over, but nope, he busted out with another tool to help make my nails look beautiful. I really liked that he opened a new, sterilized packet of the manicure tools he would using, right in front of me. The last thing I need is a gross infection. Kevin didn't talk during the process, but that was OK with me. Sometimes, I just need quiet and calm, so the whole process was therapeutic. The music was relaxing and I felt like falling asleep. For the gel nail color, I went with a simple nude color. He did a clear coat under the 2 coats of the gel nail polish, and then added a clear top coat. He finished the process with a nice, little massage with nice smelling lotion. Leaving a good tip and great review for Kevin was a must. I kind of feel like I need to get more manicures done, because the whole process was so therapeutic and Kevin did a great job. Oh, and the price! $35 for manicure and gel paint. I paid $45 at this other place I went to, and they didn't spend the time that Kevin did on my nails. 5 stars for Kevin! read more

I've been going to this salon for about a year now, and I have some mixed reviews. The staff is always kind, and does a good job on welcoming people in, and keeping a great atmosphere. I usually get my nails done with Kevin, and he does a great job. Although I would not recommend getting more complex designs done at this place. Truthfully, in regard to gel/acrylics it seems as Kevin is usually the most available and experienced one. Last week I got a gel set done (French tips) and it took about an hour and a half. I also want to mention that I did not do it with Kevin, and did it with a different employee. This employee gave me a small cut below my cuticle which has been hurting for a few days now. The most recent time I went, I was disappointed with how long my appointment took. I believe it should not take 1.5 hours to complete a French tip design. After I mentioned the cut to one of the employees the kindly gave me a $7 discount which I appreciated. Another concern is the lack of glove usage. I noticed most employees used gloves during pedicures unlike manicures. I understand this is not required in California, but it is highly recommended to use gloves to keep the salon sanitary. Overall this salon is a good place if you want to get your nails done for an average price. Most of my nails cost under $75 at this place. From my experience, I don't think I will be coming back, but it is a decent salon. read more

I have recently moved to Temecula and needed to find a new nail salon, so I went to Old Town Nails & Spa for the first time last Saturday. I was immediately greeted by Kristine, the owner, and she was very friendly and sweet. I explained to her that I had a few nails break since my last manicure and one of the nails was torn and painful. Kristine then explained that to my nail technician and he was very careful not to cause me any additional pain while providing an excellent dip powder manicure. I also had a relaxing pedicure. I feel bad I didn't get the names of either of my technicians, but they both did a great job. What impressed me the most is how much attention to detail they both gave me. Went in on a whim to this super cute spot. Working at home yoga I decided to fo a pamper day. I've had terrible luck with nails in the area. But they had openings. Julie did my gel set nails and pedi. She is awesome. Friendly, great massage, super clean disinfected tools and all around a great service. My bonus mom had moon and rose working on her full set and pedicure and she is extremely happy. I font know how this place is ever slow. New management maybe? But honestly....
