A fantastic, old-time record store- like the best kind we had in the 80s and 90s. Some of the collectable prices were a bit high, but the selection was great and the condition of the few records I looked at were good. Most stores nowadays have common records in terrible condition at obscene prices, but these guys clearly know what they're doing- the records that I thought were higher priced than I'd want to spend were legitimately rare ones. I will absolutely be back and will make sure to spend money here, this is exactly what a great record store looks like. Thank you, guys, for carrying on this tradition! read more

Ok I see a really good deal. An awesome record with a price tag that reads $.28. That should mean 28 cents right??? Well apparently not to the guy working here. I go up to the counter and the guy tells me "that'll be 28 dollars". What??? This is false advertising. And either way, this place isn't that great. The selection isn't that good and even when you find a good record (they don't even sell CD's or DVD's here) it's like 30 bucks. Plus the people who work here aren't that friendly. If you're looking for a record store in Temecula, go to Spindles. Much better. read more

This place is easily the most unfriendly record store I have ever been to, the snobby owner will only be friendly or helpful if he deems you worthy. What a load of crap, avoid this place altogether. Save your time and make a trip to Amoeba in Hollywood or Lou's Records in San Diego instead. read more

On a trip with my friend, we decided to visit this store in Old Town Temecula. Upon entering I went looking for an LP that was released on Record Store Day a couple of years ago in hopes they might still have a copy. Sure enough they did. I was so surprised by this, while digging through the bins of LP's they have, I found several other titles that are rare that other stores don't stock. They have used records below their main bins of LP's that are reasonably priced. While speaking with person at the front counter we found out the store has been open just shy of 20 years. I also noticed they carry styli for turntables. Will definitely stop in the next time I am in Temecula. read more

As a reborn vinyl aficionado I am becoming a regular here. Great selection. You need to check records for condition as prices seem to reflect the value of the record rather than the quality of the disk itself. Though they were happy to exchange a record when I discovered that it was more damaged than visual inspection revealed. Hidden among the often predictable jazz reissues and pop-jazz from the 70's and 80's there are rare treasures to be found. Some classical. Lot's of rock. read more

This and Spindles are my go-to record shops and both are absolutely wonderful. This shop has an excellent selection of almost all genres, maybe running a bit short on hip hop. Brand new albums are normally fairly priced while used can be found for very cheap and in fantastic condition. They also have alot of 45's that can keep you digging for hours. Plus, they partake in Record Store Day so you can find those sought after exclusive releases. Overall, this is a great shop. read more

This is my favorite place to go buy records. Tom and Don are always helpful and even have little facts of albums for you along the way. They are also reasonably priced, cleaner, and more organized than most of the other record stores I've been to. I don't think I'll stray from this place, I'll be a loyal costumer for a long time. Found out about this place little over a year ago. They have a very welcoming atmosphere, I believe a couple owns and runs the place. They're both very willing to bargain on pricier albums, which is fantastic. They have a good selection of Beatles' albums, which was what drew me in. They have their dollar/50 cent bins outside which has fairly decent stuff, and a few steals. Also a good selections of 45's. I try to go once a month, just call in before going, hours can be tricky. read more

Worst vinyl store I have ever been too, they have a bad selection of albums. Too high priced! They do not treat there customers with respect. I was trying to pay for a record and the guy at the front was being very rude. So I didn't buy the record. Fuck this place! read more

Small store, lots of variety. If you're looking for hip-hop or rap, move on, there's only 1 half box of albums. Punk/alternative section is awesome. The pricing was high on select items (eg 2009 repress of nirvana nevermind was going for $35, easily $20 online and $25 in any other store). The old guy working was helpful and was helping another couple in the store. read more

I have been going to this store since about 2001(when they were in another place in Old Town) and I almost always leave with something. They have had some great stock through the years. The two records for a $1 bin has been especially kind to me through the years and my record collection has grown by 200-300 records give or take just from those bins alone that are right outside the front door. I have found so many great artists in VG+ shape and of course some records you take a chance and they were in not so good shape but at least I got to hear new artist on the cheap. I always go on Record Store Day in April (bummer it is delayed this year 2020) as they have 50% off all records marked $10 or less. That is where I have also made a killing many times through the years. The last few years they have had a second day of 50% off during the Thanksgiving black Friday time and they get even more of my money. I just hope they will be open after this C Virus scare is over as I worry about small places like this going away during this hard time. Hang in there Old Town Records as I will be back. Ok selection. Kinda hard to sift through as the records weren't very organized. Have to kinda go with the other post re: owner. Felt a little uncomfortable trying to explore while he and his friend are standing about in my way basically (its a small place). He never offered any help or anything of the sort. But whatever not a big deal. What was a big deal was the prices! C'mon they are seriously overpriced. Just go to Spindles!!! WaaaaY better!! read more
