    Footlong hotdog

The foot long hot dog was, good enough. The afternoon food menu has maybe 5 options. There is no ambience. The servers are old and struggling to keep up.

This place was next to the Back Door Lounge which was closed on Sunday, so we ended up here. The bar was small inside and had a live musician (much better than dead ones) so we sat outside at one of the many tables available. Luckily, they had fans with the misting water spray as it was after dark and still around 100 degrees. It was pleasant though. They had a lot of choices of alcohol and bottles/cans of beer. I chose a local wheat and it hit the spot after dinner. Uber pickup was a challenge as the Uber Driver ended up somewhere where we didn't know where he was, but we got that squared away and were off.

First time here and it was a lot of fun. It was pretty packed, but we were able to share a table and enjoy some drinks before dinner around the corner. Super fun atmophere.

Bar with a small indoor seating area large outdoor area with 10 tables that seat four. Located along the walkway great vibe, piped music through the outdoor speakers. Staff is very friendly.

It tries to be those things and fails in all. The layout: It's a long narrow room. The stage is on the smaller far end. The tables are arranged going back along the long direction. If you're sitting more than halfway back you'll be disappointed in the seating. In the back are high-top tables which are very small. The "bar" is along the long wall. The "restaurant" is catered food ( I don't think the venue has a kitchen). It's arranged buffet style on portable tables in the lobby. You go in a line and chose your dinner and they hand it to you in a plastic to-go container. You eat at your table and then bus your leftovers and trash to the trash can. There is no wait service. Just like eating at a fast food restaurant. If your sitting at a small high-top table there's not enough room for more than two people to eat. You'll be seated with strangers and they'll be right in your face as you eat. The "bar" only has beer and wine for alcohol. Or you could get a canned mixed drink. Stand in line and wait your turn at the end of the bar. The bar seats are reserved for the show. Remember no wait service. So if you want a drink during the show you have to go to the bar. Music was not Jazz. Very slow, boring folk. The crowd was 70+ year olds. And they charge for this experience? Won't be going back.

However, the walls have a counter with the stools, so you can order food and eat there! It's super crowded all the time (this was our third attempt getting my inside across 2 days), but so worth it! Our drinks were made quickly, but ordering them was a little trickier. They didn't have many people working (2? 3?) so it was easier to order at the bar then flag down a server. With it being a small space, it was would've been nice to order from a server. We had the prickly pear margaritas and the house margarita. While they tasted good, I'm not sure how authentic they were. But they were served icy cold, so can't complain too much! They were also a decent price. We also had their red pork and green pork tamales. The red was my favorite, with a hint of spice and flavorful pork. The green one was good too. We also had their nachos, which were pretty classic and appreciated by the group! Food came out in about 20-30 minutes. Prices were reasonable too. The best was the live music-- It's free! Lots of country classics. I would arriving around 1/1:15 pm, finding a seat, getting a drink and ordering food, and listening to the well-played tunes. It only has 1 small TV, so I'd go somewhere else if you're looking for a bar/pub to watch sports. Make sure to check out popular, well-known Rusty Spur Saloon for cold margaritas, delicious Mexican food, and dance worthy live music!

The number of people packed into the space seemed excessive, and I genuinely question whether it exceeded fire code limits. People were standing all the way back into the bar area. Navigating through the crowd was difficult, and there didn't appear to be enough room for people to exit easily if needed. I've been to this venue since its 2017 opening and had much better experiences, but this event felt poorly managed. I hope they take crowd capacity and guest safety more seriously in the future.

We hosted a surprise college graduation party for my son, and from the very first conversation, Joanne, the entire Handlebar J team, and the Herndon Brothers went to the moon and back to make sure every detail was flawless. This was not just another event for them--this was personal, and it showed in every single moment. The menu was incredible--beautifully presented, thoughtfully curated, and absolutely delicious. The service was seamless, warm, and attentive, making every guest feel genuinely cared for. But what truly set this experience apart was the emotional support and compassion they extended to everyone in attendance. This celebration held deep meaning for our family, especially for a brother who lost his little sister, and the Handlebar J team handled it with grace, sensitivity, and love. Whether you're looking for a fun night out with amazing country music, outstanding food, or a venue that will treat your private event like it's the most important one they've ever hosted, Handlebar J is the place. I cannot recommend them highly enough--contact them immediately if you're considering an event. There are two true testaments to a great business: longevity and loyalty. Handlebar J has both. You can tell right away this is the kind of place regulars come back to often. Food I didn't try much food, but I did have the cheese crisp and it was solid. Light, flaky, and more like an open-faced tostada than a quesadilla. It came topped with green chili and chicken, and everything worked well together. Based on that, I'd expect the rest of the menu to be consistent, even if it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. Service Service was efficient, especially considering how busy it was. No complaints here... you can tell the staff knows how to handle a full house and keep things moving. Ambience This is where the place stands out. The vibe feels like a food network designed a biker bar, but in a fun, not over-the-top way. It's also apparently a Kansas City Chiefs bar, which adds to the identity. There was a live band playing early 2000s rock hits, which kept the energy up. Crowd was friendly overall, very much a neighborhood crowd. Overall This isn't a destination bar, but it's a really solid go-to if you live nearby. Think of it as an elevated dive/sports bar with a strong local following. Good drinks, good energy, and a place that does what it's supposed to do well.

Unfortunately, I have not heard back. Below is a copy of that email: Good morning, We came in on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 and ordered the Two 4 One Bubbles special. This is something we have ordered frequently in your establishment, most recently on March 8th, 2026. Every time we have purchased this, the Wycliff bottles have been $25. This means that we should receive 2 bottles for $25.01 based on the special listed on your menu. When we received the check, we were charged $50.01 for the 2 bottles. We pointed out the mistake to the bar tender who said the price was correct. We informed her that we have come here approximately once/month for the last year and the cost has never been $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She asked another employee to come over and we explained the same issue to her. She (we did not get her name) said she has been a Manager there for several years and that has always been the price. I told her we have ordered this special over the last year and we would never pay $50 for a bottle of Wycliff. She refused to adjust our check. I asked her to show me on a menu where a bottle of Wycliff costs $50. Of course, she was not able to do that because it doesn't exist. We generally are very generous with our tip, as we consider this a good deal and the staff is usually great. - I have attached a copy of the receipt. We would like to continue to frequent Mother Tuckers, as we have always had a good time and like to bring friends visiting from out of town. I am hopeful this was an oversight by your employees and a refund will be put back on my credit card for the overcharge.
