happy hour here is banging!! drinks are so strong (beers are $3, cocktails $7 during happy hour)!!! Shout out to Nico and Dimas!! They're the best hosts ever and make the place feel so welcoming (so welcoming that my group of friends come every week) You also get free chips with any purchase and their salsa is soooo good

First time visitor located in old towne orange Clean spacious bright colors industrial vibe Taco Tuesday special Friendly service from ordering, bussing, and checking up Offering of chips Lots of salsas to choose from and pickled veggies are a must Other half order their version of a California burrito and it was large like the size of arm and it was eatan the whole way through Order the chili relleno plate that came with corn or flour tortilla guacamole sprinkle of cilantro onion refried beans topped with cheese and rice in a aluminum style to go plate Beans and rice tasty. Beans were chunky smooth good consistency and texture, rice was soft and mild in flavor Unfortunately the chili relleno was a bit too greasy for my liking as I can see the grease on the plate and tasted it directly Flour tortilla was nice to create my own mini burritos I would come return back to try other things as it seem like a relaxing spot for groups date night solo diners quick bite There is also a restroom to use for patrons only that is for both gender and does have a out of order sign to deter from public use haha

I came to Jalapeños Orange Circle last night, October 30th, 2025, around 6:20 PM, hoping for a taste of the nostalgia I remembered from high school. They were relatively busy, likely due to the "Treats in the Street" event, but that is no excuse for what followed. The Food: Cold, Skimpy, and Overpriced I ordered two Pastor Tacos. Quantity Fail: As you can clearly see in the photo, the amount of meat given should not qualify as a street taco portion. For the nearly $10 I was charged, this portion size is unacceptable and a complete rip-off. Temperature Fail: To make matters worse, the tortillas were cold. The Service: Needs Improvement Disappointed, I made my way to the register to request a refund. The woman at the register claimed this sparse amount of meat was "standard for a 6-inch tortilla" and, unbelievably, rolled her eyes at me. She then stated they couldn't locate my order to issue the refund and "it will be a while as we have a line." I responded, "Don't worry, I'll wait," and patiently stood in line like every other patron. While I did eventually get my refund (verified on the receipt), the entire interaction was unprofessional and dismissive. It's a shame that since the new management has taken over, the quality of both the food and the service has declined so sharply. Final Word! Please save yourself the disappointment. Better to take another 5-minute walk to "Taco Stand"--the quality of both food and service is miles better. This was a truly negative experience, and I will not be returning. Hopefully, they will improve, but for now, look elsewhere.

My wife and I attended the Orange Street Fair and, as most do, we walked and explored the various food booths---we did support the Orange High School Lemonade stand---and the many musical performers, but decided to remove ourselves from the large crowd and move indoors at Olde Towne Jalapeños. It was a brilliant decision on our part, as the food, ambiance, and especially, the service, was an A+. Thank you Olde Towne Jalapeños for a wonderful dinner experience. We'll be back!

We have been coming here for decades. It has a great location in Old Towne Orange. The staff are friendly and there to serve. You order at the counter and once you take a seat they will bring you some chips. They have a nice salsa bar with many options. Parking can be a challenge, but there is a parking garage not too far away. They recently remodeled and have a more Mexican flare with bright colors and decorations. Good food and reasonably priced for what you get. Check them out.

    Extra grasosa Pastor Quesadilla

I love this place!!! I came here for taco Tuesday and they had a great deal on huge tacos. The meat was so flavorful and juicy. It was also filling because of the large portion size. I helped myself to the sauce bar and my favorite was the hot sauce. It's a must try! It's pretty spicy though. It's creamy yet spicy and it's just perfect. They also provide complimentary chips with your dine in order (not sure about take out bc I've only eaten dine in here) I also really like how you can clearly see the kitchen because the screen between the kitchen and the dining area is separated by clear glass. You can watch them make food and see the whole process.

I came here during the orange festival. Just to get a corona. The food looked good so I decided to order a Torta as well. This is a gem of a place! Someone in my party came in for a plate with carnitas and asada and it was a big plate nice and hot. Lowkey wish I would've got that plate. I have to come back next time because even my food was delicious!! The service was amazing! Everyone was so nice I would come back (:

I ordered the same meal, the veggie tacos, and they were nowhere near as good as the first time. After staying away for a long while, we decided to give Gabbys another shot, but once again the food was underwhelming. This place just seems very inconsistent, and the service was mediocre at best. My wife ordered a steak burrito, and when the food arrived, the burrito had no meat in it at all. She had to send it back. It's hard to understand how a steak burrito goes out without steak. It also feels like everything is pre-batched, which takes away from the quality and freshness. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, I personally would not recommend this place. The food feels very Americanized and lacks the traditional flavor and quality you'd expect from authentic Mexican cuisine.

The inside of the restaurant was HUGE. I'm pretty sure it was built inside of a church. I really liked the stained glass and elevated seating areas nearby, it reminded me of the Old Spaghetti Factory layout in Fullerton. Overall, I had a very positive experience. I had to get a Diet Coke and of course, it was crisp to my expectations. A little heads-up, unlike the Costa Mesa location, they do not have horchata. Nevertheless, I'd come here again to try their burritos, tostadas, and salads!

The music was good, but the door to the street was open and the cars zooming by pretty much drowned it out. Service was slow at the beginning, seems like the hostess was also the waitress, and bartender, and possibly helps in the kitchen. Husband had a michelada and it was very good, super lime forward. Tasty and refreshing! My iced tea was really good, very lemony. We wanted to try the corn cake pancakes but didn't want the whole meal, so we asked for one, were told it comes with two. It was $12 for two, instead of $17, which comes with bacon and eggs. The pancakes were yummy, but slightly undercooked and almost raw in the middle. Loved the sweet corn flavor, and the crispy, salty edges. They had plantain chunks on top, but they didn't do anything for me, they were bland. I would love to order the pancakes again, and I hope they are fully cooked next time. He had the Avocado Toast and said it was one of the best he has ever had, it's served with chorizo and queso fresco. He said the chorizo was great and he loved the sourdough bread. He ate both pieces, and he rarely eats an entire plate of food! My chilaquiles verdes with skirt steak was great! I asked for the steak to be medium rare, it was around medium, but still tasty. The portion was way larger than I was expecting, I finished about half and took the rest home. Their entire menu sounds great and I hope we come back to try more of their food.

The carnitas themselves are the star--tender, juicy pork that's been slow-cooked to perfection with that signature crispy edge on some pieces, delivering rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. It's seasoned just right, with a nice balance of porky goodness and subtle spices that let the meat shine. Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing. I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5--only docking half a point because it's not reinventing the wheel, but it's executing the traditional style exceptionally well. Highly recommend if you're near 728 N Tustin St in Orange! Pair it with an horchata, yum
