We wanted somewhere that wouldn't be slammed for the World Cup match (Mexico vs. South Korea), and this spot was perfect for that. It's a great local, family-owned restaurant with that "Americanized Mexican food" twist but still packed with really great flavor. Everything we ordered was delicious--the two-item combo with enchiladas and chile relleno, plus refried beans and Mexican rice. The margaritas were also really tasty. My husband enjoyed the spicy salsa, while I stuck with the mild and it was perfect for me. Rosie and Juan Ramon were amazing--super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming from start to finish. To start I came here with my wife and another couple and we ordered a Margarita and unfortunately they do not blend it or have a blender and on top of that I could tell there was barely any alcohol in the drink for what I paid. Then the burrito I ordered was huge so portion size was good but unfortunately it doesn't matter how big it is if it's not any good. It was tasteless had no flavor and came out cold. I really hate to write a bad review about this place because it's family owned and they're always so nice, but our dinner tonight really missed the mark on all fronts. My husband ordered the flautas combo and the tortilla was barely cooked. There was only a tiny little scoop of guacamole (literally a couple tablespoons) and a bit of salsa. Other places we've ordered them, they are covered. I ordered the fish taco combo and it was very bland. The tacos mostly just tasted like the sauce and had no flavor. There also was hardly any fish. The rice was under cooked and everything lacked flavor and just had a ton of salt. Usually when we've ordered we are given a bag of chips and a bunch of salsa. Love this place! First time here and my server, Ruby, so so sweet and attentive! She was training and her trainer (chick with red-ish hair) was also very kind and accommodating.
