Came here for a to-go order, and the place's ambiance is comfortable and home like. Got the 3 tacos plate with rice and beans. The asada was my fave at 8/10. Pastor was a miss for me at 6/10. The carnitas was good at 7/10. I like that they separated the onions and cilantro, to put on my tacos when I got home. I think the only thing I was missing was diced tomatoes. The salsas were good and spicy. Overall would come back again. The 3 stars isn't bad, it's just that there's so many taco spots in Southern California, so competition is tough and my expectations are pretty high for street tacos.

Been coming here for years and for a reason. The food is always really good. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is as if I'm eating with family at their home. Nothing has changed in the inside and while most wouldn't like that, it's the nostalgic feeling for me.

Situated behind a Taco Bell if coming down Tustin Ave. This restaurant looks small on the outside but large on the inside. The ambiance feels authentic with large flat-screen TVs playing a rotation of Mexican music and videos. The service was great and fast.

Little restaurant that is a great value. The food is very good, first meal was a bean and cheese burrito and I thought it was delicious. The second time here I got the chile relleno, potato taco and the cheese enchilada. The plate was overall very good and very filling. The best thing was the enchilada followed by potato taco and finally the chile relleno. The plate comes with rice and beans. Wife had the beef chimichanga and she really enjoyed it. Here's the best part. Bill was under $30. How can you beat that?? Again food is delicious and value is awesome. This is a def regular stop for us

Food was delicious ordered the quesadillas with shrimp combo. Service was friendly and got our orders correct. Just walk in and have a seat and a waitress comes by to get drink and drops off chips and salsa. It was a little crowded for a Sunday afternoon but not too bad. I love this place. Always reminds me of my dad since he was the one to introduce this place to us.

I was still feeling under the weather, so I sent my hubby to pick up some albondigas. Seemed kinda spendy for caldo, but it had 4 meatballs and it also came with a container of rice and 4 corn tortillas - so I shared it with my hubby so I guess you could say it's $7 per person since after tax it was just under $14. Broth was tasty, and not too salty - lots of HUGE chunks of veggies (potato, tomato, squash) and the meatballs were very tasty and it was quite filling. The only bummer is that when I got to the end of eating my soup, there was a hair in my last meatball, so I couldn't eat it any more - so minus one star for the hair. I had the posole the other day - and of I had to choose between the two, I think I'm going to stick with the posole.

My boyfriend went with the carnitas burrito, and it was packed with tender, juicy carnitas and generous portions all around. We also grabbed a flaky pastry in the attached bakery (I didn't catch the name), but it was perfectly buttery and light. The carnitas themselves are the star--tender, juicy pork that's been slow-cooked to perfection with that signature crispy edge on some pieces, delivering rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. It's seasoned just right, with a nice balance of porky goodness and subtle spices that let the meat shine. Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing. I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5--only docking half a point because it's not reinventing the wheel, but it's executing the traditional style exceptionally well. Highly recommend if you're near 728 N Tustin St in Orange! Pair it with an horchata, yum

We had a large group of about 30 people, which is never easy for any restaurant to handle, but they accommodated us so well. They seated us at one long table so we could all sit together, talk, and share memories. It meant a lot to keep everyone connected instead of being split up. The food was excellent. I ordered the carne asada plate, and the meat was cooked to perfection -- tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. You can tell they know how to prepare their dishes with care. For dessert, I had the arroz con leche, and it was amazing. It was the perfect balance of sweetness and comfort, especially after an emotional day. The ambiance truly stood out. The hacienda-style patio with trees created such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. The Spanish-style architecture inside, along with the fountain, made the whole experience feel warm and inviting. It has that classic, authentic charm that makes you want to stay and enjoy the moment. Most importantly, the staff was incredible. They were extremely patient, attentive, and very organized -- which is impressive considering we were a party of 30. Everything came out smoothly, and they made sure we were taken care of without making us feel rushed. If you're in Orange and looking for a place with great food, beautiful ambiance, and outstanding service, go to Moreno's.
