Visiting the Berkshire's and looking for a spot for breakfast. We ordered the food to go and it didn't disappoint. Parking is touchy due to road work but this is the go to spot in Hinsdale. Waitress/Hostess was very nice and welcoming as we ordered our meals to go. Steak and eggs was cooked to order and was exactly as I wanted. The corn beef hash was on point. Wife got an omelet that's delicious. A bit pricey but the food is worth it. Definitely will try to sit in restaurant to get it fresh. read more

You don't get very many whole belly clams but they were perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were horrible!!! Worst ever tasted old and had extra spices in them as if to hide that they were OLD. The amount was small too. The Cole slaw also was OLD. It is not home made. The waitress Never told us there was an Up charge to exchange the fries for mashed potatoes though she insisted she told us( the up charge was $1.50). It's sad that Ozzie's is one of few places to eat in hinsdale. Not a fair place not very good food. we prefer the Dalton restaurant where the food is mostly homemade real unsweetened ice tea, free refills and Jane is honest and fair and the prices are amazing we must frequent this place with such good food and reasonable prices!( go to Dalton restaurant), they even will deliver to seniors!! read more

I have heard it's extremely difficult to get in on weekends and the parking evem mid week is tough. I had a bacon pepper and cheese omelette with rye toast. Simple yet very good. I've always loved going to Ozzie's for breakfast--it's been a favorite spot of mine. But on October 2, 2025, my wife and I went out for breakfast, and I ordered the "Trainwreck Omelet" with a side of corned beef hash. Unfortunately, just a few hours later, I became violently ill. Based on the timing and symptoms, I suspect food poisoning. I was bedridden for four days and didn't start feeling like myself again until a full week had passed. Went here visiting the Berkshire and Vermont always a nice atmosphere they make you feel at home. Was looking for something different and saw this on the menu. Raspberry French Toast what a treat for breakfast it was amazing with a side of hash browns. It was three French toast. Stuff with cream in between each layer with a raspberry topping sending it over the top sprinkled with slivered almonds. Put this as one of your places to go for breakfast not too far from Pittsfield about 20 minute drive I believe, you won't be disappointed if you take your time and enjoy the ride over the mountain. The food was great, the service was speedy and friendly, for the most part, but I would not say that the restaurant was kid-friendly. I was chastised at the end of our meal because my two children (a 5y/o and 2y/o) were standing by the hostess stand, admiring the fall decorations (less than 3ft from our table). The man who scolded me said that the children had to sit down because there were women walking around with hot coffee (despite the fact that my children were standing to the side of the hostess stand, not in the way). I have to ask, if I stood up at the end of my meal to admire the decorations, would I have been scolded? Certainly not. Then, why the parent-shaming? read more

Stopped in here quite accidentally while in the area for our honeymoon. The decor inside is very nice, and a friendly smile wherever we looked. We were there at 10:30 am on a Thursday, and the place was pretty packed. After we finished eating, it was very clear why this local is so popular. The owner sat us, and introduced herself. Very charming, and we were also fortunate to meet her husband who co-owns this wonderful establishment. We had eggs, omelets, and the best gluten free toast my wife has ever had. The best corned beef hash I have had in probably 15 years. Genuinely homemade. The buttermilk pancakes are fluffy and delicious too. The clam chowder is also home made, but not quite my thing. The potatoes were undercooked and there was quite a lot of lemon flavor, which isn't what I expect in a creamy soup. But maybe it was just an off batch and not usually so lemony? My companions had two versions of the Eggs Benedict and liked them a lot.(original and spicy chorizo.) The staff was very nice and the tables were rather spaced out, so you definitely don't feel crowded. There was a short wait on a Tuesday late morning, and our waitress said there is a line out the door on weekends, so be aware it's a popular place! read more

Wow. First trip to the berkshires and let me tell you everything is far apart. You will spend a lot of time traveling between each tiny quaint town so plan ahead. Researched ozzies ahead of time and glad we did. Excellent locals breakfast place. We stayed in becket and this was about 25 minutes away. Visiting the Berkshires from NY state. Had done a great hike at Mt. Greylock, and built up quite a hunger! We were taking a leisurely drive around to look for an " off the beaten path" place to eat dinner. This little gem popped up on my map, and I told my husband I had found a place. Boy, was I right!! We arrived about 530. We were seated right away outside, under a tent, along a creek, great views! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Spoke to a few locals that told us we were lucky to get a seat so quickly! They had several specials and a nice variety on the menu. I had one of the specials, a Cajun salmon salad. Absolutely delicious and huge! I could barely finish the salmon, left most of the salad. My husband had broiled scallops. He's still raving about that! Again, another successful dinner!! There was a free dessert offer on yelp that the owner wasn't familiar with, but he honored it. It took it to go. After dinner we took a walk through the small town, it was peaceful and needed after our dinner!! We have relatives in MA, and travel the NY-MA thruway often. Will be taking a detour in the future to this restaurant, totally worth the visit! Not going to be "of the beaten path" much longer!! read more

Starving for a good breakfast after a beyond disappointing meal the night before while in Lenox for a concert, we drove out of our way based on the reviews. We arrived at 9:30 am on a Tuesday and took the long line as a good sign, and it was. We over-ordered wanting to try different items and knowing leftovers are our friends. I got simple buttermilk pancakes and paid extra for real maple syrup because that's a local source of pride....and it's so much better! I also ordered the classic eggs benedict with bacon instead of Canadian bacon which they were happy to do. My spouse ordered home fries with an omelet, so I ordered hash browns so we could compare. Both were homemade and both were delicious, but the hash browns were extra special because I don't know of another place that offers them and they were extra-crispy. I lived in Switzerland for a year where they were common, known as rösti, and delicious. I was in flashback heaven. I took home 75% of my benedict and hash browns only because I was stuffed. The pancakes came out first and we filled up on them. The owner stopped by multiple times offering coffee/water refills. Our server was equally attentive. Everyone was friendly. Three small criticisms: the Hollandaise could use more lemon juice. It had no zip (and I make a mean Hollandaise myself); please choose more eco-friendly To-Go containers. Styrofoam is an ecological disaster. Finally, up your coffee game, please. My spouse is the canary. I tasted theirs and declined to order any even though I would have loved some dark roast decaf. Other than that, rock on! If we lived closer, (we're in western MA, but it's still a hike) we'd be there once a week. Thanks for the exceptional breakfast. The place is a conventional diner setting in a very warm, homey atmosphere with very superior, friendly waitresses. I could tell that the locals frequent this place; the is no pretentiousness about the place. try the steak and eggs benedict--scrumptious! Wait staff was very helpful; they came back refilling my coffee without my having to ask. THAT's great service! Modestly/fairly priced for good food and good ambience.
