    Broiled Seafood Platter
    Reitha A.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Old Town Steak and Seafood, and as always, it was an incredible experience. We dine here a few times each year, and the food and service consistently impress us. I usually go for the King Cut Prime Rib, which is hands down the best in town. My wife's favorite is the Broiled Seafood Platter, especially the Crab Imperial--she can't get enough of it. Our daughter opted for the Stuffed Lobster this time and is now hooked, refusing to order anything else! While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food makes it well worth it. Brendan was our server tonight, and his service was exceptional, making the evening even more special.

Our server was great! He checked on us frequently and made sure all of our drinks were refilled. The low lighting and quiet atmosphere made for a really comfortable birthday dinner. I ordered the New York strip and lobster tail. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. I didn't mention my birthday until they boxed my food, they then insisted on a slice of chocolate cake with strawberries! Great place with great staff!! I highly recommend.

The interior is classy. Beautiful fireplace! The staff is very friendly! The filet was served in a plate full of butter and oil, it had no seasoning at all, the top of the filet was black(pic don't show well) and hard almost burnt yet the inside was a medium rare (ordered medium)-it was tender in the middle. The crab imperial was amazing but the lobster tail had not much taste. Their blue cheese on the salad is also amazing. Sad though you charge $3.00 for adding bacon and $3 to add cheese to your salads and baked potatoes without telling customers up front, you only ask if you want it on them and then you end up with a charge for practically another dinner for what you think would be included. Old Towne is a go-to for me and my friends whenever I'm in town visiting! My friend and her family are regulars and whenever we eat there we always have a great experience. They have phenomenal Bleu cheese dressing, so I would recommend ordering a salad and getting Bleu cheese dressing because they make it themselves. I loved it so much that I asked for the recipe! The seafood is always very good. I usually order the salmon, and it turns out perfect every time.

Crab soup tasted like chicken, floured, herb mess. It was gray in color - sent it back Tried lobster bisque and it was tasteless and super spicy. Sent it back Salad was nothing but bagged lettuce with watered down dressing Steak was bland, no flavor at all Never going back So disappointed Way to pricey for what you get!!!!

Man, the owner seems super nice and we got great service, but the food and ambiance is severely lacking. This was my boyfriend's favorite place, so I took him for his birthday. The bread that came out was Sister Schubert rolls, which I love, but would've liked to have seen house made bread at a restaurant. The mushrooms were pretty good-full of flavor and lots of cheese! The steaks-not so much. The filet was supposed to be cooked medium, but came out super rare. It had no seasoning whatsoever. It was inedible. The bigger steak had more flavor to it and was a lot better! The crabbed stuff shrimp was tasteless and freezerburnt. They gave us a complimentary birthday dessert. The fries had no seasoning on them at all. I wish this place had the choice of mashed potatoes!

Lovely couple owned business for 40+ years. Had seafood steak and crab soup and sat at the beautiful bar. It has an old world rat pack / Sinatra feel and I loved every second. Not just for special occasions.

Great food as always but not kid friendly. A coke cost $6.99 per which was a shock when we reviewed the bill.

Tried to order three different beers, and every one of them was "not available today," which is restaurant talk for "the truck's late and so are we." Artie the bartender just gave this little shoulder shrug that said, "Partner, I don't make the rules, I just open the bottles." The place itself helped the afternoon along. The building is laid out so you can see just about everything from your stool: bar, tables, who's coming in the door, and whether your food is on its way. Sightlines were wide open, nothing cluttered or cramped, and the whole joint looked super clean, like somebody actually cares what it looks like before the crowd shows up. So we did what any sensible, thirsty people would do: picked two other beers, ordered some apps, and decided not to take life--or the tap list--too seriously. The beer we got was cold, the food was hot, and Artie turned out to be the kind of bartender you come back to see more than you come back for the menu. We'll be back, too. Lewis would've gotten a whole column out of that shrug. The food was excellent, too. The fish bites alone just about made the afternoon; if the beer list had completely fallen apart, we still would've called it a win on those.

Since learning that, we have made our own oyster tradition and seek to have them in January because it can't hurt! I saw that Port Oysteria was participating in FXBG restaurant week which is happening now and thought it was a great opportunity for us to try someplace new and get our oysters. While we did not order anything from the restaurant week specials (there was only one at lunch, and a couple more after 3pm) my wife and I did enjoy a nice lunch today. The chargrilled oysters were just right for us to share as a starter and very tasty. My wife had the fried oyster po-boy and I had the blackened grouper sandwich; both were delicious. The coleslaw was good as was the Parmesan mashed potatoes. There is a good beer selection on tap and an interesting cocktail list. Our first beer choice was out, but our backup choices were good. Service was good but the restaurant was not very busy. The atmosphere is interesting with moody, dark painted walls and bold murals and a mix of '90s grunge and alt-pop music in the background. We definitely want to go back for dinner sometime and try more of the menu.

For dinner on our first night, we opted to give Brocks Riverside Grill a try and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Mckewen, was super friendly and helpful with both ordering selections when both of us have Shellfish allergies and later pairing our entrees with wines. For starters, we ordered drinks. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I ordered a Spicy Margarita. We shared an appetizer of Crispy Brussel Sprouts and bread rolls that came with a delicious oil and garlic dipping sauce. The main dining area was sparsely attended by other dinner patrons, with large windows to one side overlooking the river. For entrees, my wife selected the Roasted Beet Poke Bowl which she described as "light and refreshing" and I ordered the 16-oz Marinated Ribeye, cooked to Medium along with sides of mixed Seasonal Vegetables (sliced Zucchini & Squash) and Redskins Mashed potatoes with an order of mushrooms to go on top of the steak. I also ordered a nice glass of Merlot wine to go with it. The portions were generous, and the entrees perfectly prepared, and very tasty. If there was any fault at all, it was that the ribeye was a little too laden with a ring of fat rather than simply marbled, but otherwise no complaints. For dessert, I ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie and my wife ordered Crème Brûlée. Both were appealing to the eye and each bite beckoned us to take another bite. It is certainly someplace we would go to again.

We sat in the section that was open to the outdoor elements and got a seat right by the wall overlooking the river. Quick to get seated and host was very nice. We had a wonderful waitress. We both got a salmon salad and it was a nice large portion that was full of flavor. Would definitely stop back. Might need to get the fried chicken sandwich next time!
