    Pints, quarts of oysters.

Such a cute place. Recently went under new ownership. And the renovations to this place are amazing!! This restaurant has a warm welcoming vibe. Super friendly staff and Clean environment. The bathroom is absolutely beautiful!. The ribeye steak and cheese is Hefty, well seasoned and very cheesy! This is definitely a spot to check out if you're a seafood lover!!

My wife and I were finished with our Sunday errands and looming for a place to have lunch. We decided to drive 20 minutes out of our way to a place called Peanut's Steak and Seafood in Spotsylvania Courthouse. From the outside it's a very unassuming place. However when we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly server. We sat at one of the relatively few tables they had. I think Peanut's might be more of a carry out place. They obviously specialized in crabs. On the wall was the Super Bowl specials, which included crabs, crawfish, frogs legs, alligator nuggets. They also had beer in the cold case to go, along with sodas. Anyway, we sat and ordered drinks. My wife wanted unsweetened ice tea, however they only had sweet tea. She had that, and reported that it wasn't overly sweet so it was fine. I had a Dr. Pepper, which came bottled. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer. They were very good, nicely breaded and hot. My wife ordered two soft shell crabs, one made into a sandwich. She loves soft shell crabs, and said that these were quite good sized and very good. I had a Ribeye Steak Sandwich, medium, with baked beans. The steak was decent, and it may have been medium rare instead of medium. However to me over-cooking is the greater sin so it was fine. We enjoyed Peanut's, and if we're in the area again, we would certainly come back.

Some of the best seafood at this spot! Wife and I were strolling along rolling down the road saw this place and passed it whipped my truck around cuz I asked if she was hungry and I was hungry too. And we both agree on trying this spot out. Glad We did. Because it was fantastic! Amazing, fried cod and grouper, mashed potato's and gravy, fried onion rings, hush puppies, abs Mac and cheese. Everything tastes so dang good and tastes like homemade too! It was excellent. We will definitely be back for sure. Thank u for such an amazing delicious experience! Also inside is kinda like a gas station with booths and tables and one bathroom, very clean and very nice staff we chose to get it Togo and eat in my truck cuz of the c19 pandemic. Received our food drove off some place decent to stop and eat and it was just yum!

All you can eat - steam crab legs and shrimp All the food is delicious. Trust you will not be disappointed.

Yes!!! Drive to Peanut's Steak and Seafood for the All-You-Can-Eat crab legs and Shrimp with hush puppies. Draft beer is $2.00 16 oz cup. All the food is good. I can not believe we gave the quality in a country town. Red Lobster, Joe's Crab Shack has nothing on Peanuts. So much more for $49.99. So far I've visited 4 times and it's consistent.

    Amazing crabs!!!

Happily surprised that for memorial day weekend, they weren't super busy but we also arrived @ 4:45…read moreso maybe they got busier later. Food was good - sirloin and filet for me and hubs. Spinach dip and 2 'adult' drinks. I do have a few things that were a bit disappointing....I ordered their red sangria - to MY fault, I didn't specify what size...to our waitresses fault, she didn't ask yet brought me a tankard size glass(clearly the more expensive size). All foods, with the exception of dessert, came out really quickly. We had hardly touched the appetizer when r salads came and were about half way through those when the main course came. Table was loaded with dishes. Tried to finish up the salads before the steaks got cold. Again tho, food was good and cooked as ordered. Dessert took a bit longer to come out which was fine as we needed time to settle our stomachs. Overall a good experience, but we felt rushed and I definitely didn't need the tankard of sangria - a small size would have been plenty and honestly, it tasted like straight up fruit juice - no wine flavor at all. Hubs said his Jack & coke was good. We like Longhorn and will probably be back - we'll just be more mindful and definitely state what size of drinks we want. Also, and maybe it's just me or the waitress we had....while she was very friendly and accommodating, it felt like she was speaking to us as if we were toddlers. Kinda of a slow, sing-song voice and as if we couldn't comprehend what she was saying. I'd much rather be spoken to as the adults we are, instead of feeling like we're being spoken 'down' to.

While we really enjoy all of the servers we've had at Mikes, Alicia takes the cake. If there's any way to provide her with recognition, I would highly vouch for it. She could sell me anything on that menu with that kind of personality! Thank you, Alicia! I'm going to make sure we try to get seated at your table again.

As expected, it was busy, but the restaurant does have a fairly large parking lot which made arrival easier. The setup was interesting. After checking in downstairs, I was given a ticket and directed upstairs for seating. I took the elevator, which offered a clear view of the kitchen below as it ascended... definitely a unique touch. Upstairs, another host staff guided us to our table. The space had a lively feel, roaring with chatter from customers, and I could see parts of the kitchen where food was being prepared over an open flame, which added to the overall atmosphere. For the food, we started with the calamari. It was cooked well and had a nice texture, especially paired with the crispy onion shoestrings, which added a good crunch and flavor. It was served over a lobster sauce, although the lobster flavor wasn't very noticeable. The main issue was the salt level... it was quite heavy! I did enjoy it overall, but I would only recommend it to someone who doesn't have to watch their sodium intake. For entrées, I ordered the steak cooked medium with broccolini. The dish automatically comes with mashed potatoes, and while I was able to substitute the salad for broccolini, there didn't seem to be flexibility with the potatoes. After tasting the mashed potatoes, I wish I was offered to substitute it as it tasted like the brown box we grew up on where you just added water. When the food came out, the steak was closer to medium-well or well done rather than medium, and both the mashed potatoes and broccolini were a bit cold. I chose not to send it back since we waited but it did affect the overall experience. My guest ordered the ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were well-prepared--tender with a clean pull off the bone--and were probably the highlight of the meal. The fries were also very good and came out hot. The coleslaw wasn't as well received, described as having too many of the tougher parts of the cabbage. Overall, the experience had some positives, especially in terms of atmosphere and certain menu items like the ribs and fries. While I did enjoy parts of the meal, it's not somewhere I would personally return to, but it may be worth trying once to form your own opinion.

Yes, there are "trendy" restaurants downtown with a larger and rotating, seasonal, or farm-to-table menu. But Olde Towne Steak & Seafood is wonderful. The steak is always cooked to perfection, the shrimp in the Shrimp Cocktail are ENORMOUS, the stuffed mushrooms are (chef's kiss), their cocktails (especially dirty martinis) are wonderful, and their prime rib is as big as an infant's head. The interior could use a bit of an upgrade. I went there for my Senior prom in 1990 and although it is still cozy and inviting -especially fireside-the clean, classic decor could use a bit of a perking up. No minor issues like decor can obscure the wonderful service! A LOT of servers in this area consider waiting tables just a job to be done and gotten over with and customers a nuisance. Whether they truly feel it or not, the staff here present themselves as practicing their vocation. But none of this compares to the warmth and personal attention of Mrs. Hyon Harding, the owner. Mrs. Hyon always greets you like you are a welcome guest - not a dollar sign. She takes the time during each visit to personally visit each table to make sure everything is to your satisfaction and you are happy. And it is not just some token "drive by." You can tell she really does care and wants you to have a good experience. All of this beats truffle fries and Mac and cheese, rosemary mashed potatoes, and "locally foraged mushrooms" in my book and always will.

They did a phenomenal job creating such a magical atmosphere--I honestly wish they could keep the decorations up all year . While waiting for our table, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. I had the prickly pear margarita, and she ordered a cider sour. Both were fantastic, though I wish the bar had mentioned the holiday cocktail menu earlier. I didn't learn about the festive drinks until we were seated and our server, Lindsay, walked us through the winter specials. The "Sweater Weather" cocktail sounded amazing (white tequila and coconut milk ) and is definitely something I'll be back to try. We stuck with our go-to appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious as always. For entrées, we went classic brunch: the hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend loved her burger, and Sedona's shrimp and grits remain one of my absolute favorites--perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the seasonal dessert, tiramisu. It was the perfect size--just enough to share without pushing us over the edge. Lol. Another successful meal at Sedona! The service is consistently top-notch, and our server Lindsay was hands down the best--knowledgeable, attentive, and with an amazing personality. We loved her so much, we wished she could've joined us for brunch. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which we really appreciated. First, let's start off with the wait. I'm used to waiting for a table at Sedona especially on a Saturday, but today the wait was extra long. Once we sat and ordered appetizers it took over 40 minutes to get our apps. To make matters worse our nachos came out with the cheese not even melted and with barely any protein. Seeing as this was not the first time I ordered nachos I was extremely upset. To address the issue I had to leave my outside table and walk inside to the hostess to see if they could locate my server as she never came and checked on us. We didn't see her for over 50 minutes :-/ The only star of today's lunch were the Thai glazed wings. My husband ordered the land and sea and steak was overcooked. My devils pass pasta was okay, but extremely greasy. The manager did stop by to offer something for the nacho issue which we appreciated. Sedona you need to work on hiring more staff to make things run smoothly. You seem to be understaffed in the kitchen and on the floor. We left feeling extremely disappointed and will not be returning for a long time. Also forgot to add that the strawberry tres leches cake is extremely dense and flavorless. Did not enjoy and do not recommend.

We were seated promptly, no awkward hovering, and our waitress showed up friendly, sharp, and knowing her way around the menu--which is a quality that ought to be listed right next to "clean silverware." We started with the crab and corn chowder, and let me say this right now: the crab was not there for decoration. It announced itself. Big flavor, no apologies, the way crab chowder ought to be. Second round was the smoked salmon salad. Perfect. The salmon was excellent, but that tarragon caper dressing had a way of making you slow down and think about life choices. I would put that dressing on just about anything that didn't move fast enough. For the main event, I chose the scallops, and I am prepared to testify they were as good as any I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, sitting pretty with an aioli that knew its job and did it well. My wife ordered the beef medallions, and I'll admit this with humility: looking back, I may have chosen wrong. Those medallions were expertly prepared and packed with flavor, the kind that makes you reconsider your own plate. We finished with cheesecake and berries. The cheesecake did its part. The berries... well, not every inning is a home run. Fortunately, the wine stepped in like a good relief pitcher and made everything right again. Through it all, the service never slipped. We were treated the way folks ought to be treated when they go out to celebrate something that matters. And that, in my book, counts just as much as what's on the plate.
