This is hands down the BEST tailor that my wife and I have found in the Shorewood area. I would say one of the greatest hidden gems in all of Milwaukee when it comes to tailoring....I am hesitant to even add this business because I would hate to see him get overworked, but the quality of craftsmanship on the alterations is unmatched the prices are exceptional and the service is outstanding. The weekend was off to a shaky start after the Brew Crew's Friday night loss and the discovery that the dress shirt I had purchased at Men's Wearhouse for an upcoming wedding was a few sizes larger than expected. Yelp! never steers me wrong, so when I found that Oleg Yusufov was the highest rated tailor in the city I went to his tailoring shop with confidence. Oleg's an incredibly nice man who makes you feel like the reason he is in business is to take care of YOUR tailoring needs. I don't give out 5 stars often, but it is well deserved here. Plain and simple - Oleg does a great job with amazing customer service - period. I tried him because of the reviews on Yelp and was not dissappointed. I dropped off a suit coat, an overcoat, and two pairs of pants for repair. Here are some examples of the service he provided: - First of all, I called him just before 5pm (his closing time) and he offered to wait and stay open 30 minutes just to let me drop off the clothes the same day! How many places will do that today? - He not only completed my items very quickly (even before the due date), he personally called me to let me know everything was done and read to be picked up. When I picked them up, I got stuck in the traffic and again was going to run past 5pm and he offered to stay late - again! I was happy to get there right at 5pm anyways, but still... - He fixed several problems on my pants that I had missed, such as replacing the entire inside pocket - it had a hole (because the last tailor did a bad job) that he caught and took the initiative to repair. I don't even think he charged me for it... - The work he did was impeccable. He even repair a hole in a suit that I didn't think anyone could fix. Amazing. - While I can't say for sure his prices are good because I have no idea of the "going rate" for tailoring, I think that he is a good value. I had the sleeves on my wool overcoat shortened, I had a suit coat taken in at the sides and sleeves shortened, and two pairs of pants tailored, along with 1 pair that had to have a patch woven into them, a zipper repaired and the pockets were replaced and my total bill was $115. I thought that was a deal. - My only possible knock would be that he doesn't take credit cards, but that really isn't a surprise and common in his business. Oleg is not only a genuinely nice person but he's a great tailor. I was in a bind late on a Friday meeting full alterations for an Italian suit and shirt by Sunday morning. Even though I have never been there before he told me not to worry. He opened early for me Saturday morning and did two separate alteration runs to make sure everything was perfect. I've been to Oleg several times over the years. I do a fair amount of sewing, so most things, I can handle myself - but sometimes life interferes and I don't get around to hemming things. I go to Oleg when a) the job is very complicated b) it's a rush job that I won't have time to do. His work is excellent. He's done some complicated work for me (a full length silk gown, with a hem on the bias that needed to be shortened, comes to mind.) It was impeccable when he was done. He's also done some "easy" work for me - hemming pants, etc. Again, the work was impeccable. He's very friendly and cares about his customers. If it's a rush job - tell him - they will try to get it done for you. The prices for easy work do seem steep - but you get what you pay for. His work is always impeccable. When the work is complicated - well, the results have always been worth the price. Oleg is fantastic!!!! With only 24 hours before a wedding, Oleg was able to take in my boyfriend's suit in the waist, let out the pants in the pelvis and hem the pants to the right length!!!!! Oleg charged extra for the expedited service, but the prices were completely reasonable! This was after we had tried making an appointment three days earlier with another tailor who said all that could be done by Saturday was the pants hem. Oleg Yusufov is a custom tailor indeed. He is good at his craft and the people of Shorewood know it. Here are a few things you should know first. I dropped off 4 items and it was over a month later that they were finished. I don't know if it is the volume of items that were dropped off or his level of detail that required all that time, but that is a pretty long for me. So don't expect immediate results. He is cash only. If you didn't bring any, there is across the street. That leads me to my next point, the cost is steeper than most tailors so be prepared. All things said and done I was very happy with the result. If you are looking for a low cost hem or alteration, this may not be the right place. I can't really add anything about Oleg that hasn't already been said by others. He has a keen eye for what needs to be done, knows how to go about doing it quickly and correctly, and maintains a relaxed yet professional demeanor the entire time. I brought in a suit jacket and dress pants on a Monday afternoon without any prior notice, needing it done by that Thursday morning. I was in and out within 15-20 minutes, and the alterations were done by Thursday, as promised. Oleg was always patient and friendly, and most importantly, did a great job. I only wish I could have gotten to him with more time to spare, so he could really put his attention to detail to work. Mr. Oleg Yusufov brings an old-world charm and talent! He is the nicest man you will ever do business with. And his skill is unmatched in the city, especially for the price! Seriously, he charges 5-10% less than the two other places within a mile of his location and adds a personal touch. And if you are loyal to him, he remembers it and rewards you for it. (I don't think I have ever paid full price, even my first time seeing him!) When you walk in he greets you like an old friend. He takes his time with you making sure he understands perfectly what you want altered. And will have them ready for you whenever you need them. I've told him a few times to take his time, it wasn't urgent and he chuckled and said (I'll have done in 3 days. WHAT A GUY!! He's done pants for me that another tailor claimed couldn't be done because the thread wasn't available for retail. (He didn't even cut the pants, he expertly and inperceptively folded them and stitched inside so the original hem was all that showed at the length I needed, genius! He's fixed dresses and tops, skirts and more pants. He's my guy! The first time I went to see him, I brought the pants I mentioned above. I told him what the lady had said and that I was willing to have a different thread at the hem. He chuckled and said it wasn't necessary and then explained his expert trick! I was wearing a coat of mine that a button had fallen off of (Actually at some point every one of the buttons had fallen off) He said he would fix it for me, so I left if with him. I came back a little while later and he had sewed the missing button back on, rearranged all the buttons where they were supposed to be because I had re-stitched them on poorly AND sewed up a hole that was in the lining of the pocket. I came here to have a bridesmaid's dress fixed at the urging of yelpers. Drop off went fine, he measured one arm and pinned one side. When I went back to pick it up, they rushed me and I didn't have a chance to try it on. The next day, take the dress out of my suitcase only do find they've only sewed one side! I called and complained to Oleg and he said that was impossible, he knows how to do his job and that I should come in and show it too him. Went in today to get an estimate for alterations. I asked the man at the front counter if Oleg was there, he said he wasn't there. I showed him what I needed done, then a woman standing next to me said "HE is Oleg". Not only is he unprofessional, he gave me an estimate of $180.00 to have a women's faux fur coat relined and a small tear in a pair of men's jeans repaired. Okay, so I heard all y'all out and went to Oleg to hem a pair of maternity jeans that were way too long Normally, I con my dear mother into hemming pants for me however with a growing belly, I needed these jeans done STAT. So, I visit him and he is seriously the cutest man ever. I get what you all were saying about his old school service- because folks like him just don't really exist anymore. However.....I wasn't prepared for the 3 week wait on the hem and the $18 price tag! Whooo-wee! It's my bad for not asking the price up front- but I honestly assumed it would be less than $10. I got the jeans for $7 so I was hoping not to pay more than $10 for the hem. Overall, I would use him again but probably ask for the price up front as to not be sticker shocked when I get the bill. I found Oleg through Yelp and I'm more than satisified. Like almost everyone my jeans just never seem to fit right. They're always too tight or too loose or they're too something or not enough of something else. So I took two of my favorite jeans into Oleg's shoppe. He put a chalk mark here, a chalk mark there. I remember thinking to myself, "Is that really it?" worried that that wouldn't be enough to make the waist fit perfectly. He laughed and commiserated when I said, "No, seriously, you can take them in more than it seems. I had a huge dinner last night." A week and a half later I slipped them on they fit like a dream. He's a master of his craft. For having a button replaced and a couple pairs of jeans taken in the total was under $50 and worth every penny. read more

I was contacted from Mr. Yusufov by telephone shortly after the COVID matter enveloped asking me if it would be okay to pay two hundred dollars as he does not accept cash or credit card from his customers. I agreed to pay Mr. Yusufov two hundred dollars for all of my items and when attempting to speak with him to go to his store to pick up my items it was very difficult to reach him where upon finally doing so was asked by Mr. Yusufov to meet him Monday morning before he opened which I agreed to do confirming our agreed upon price which he again confirmed. I arrived to the store Monday at the time Mr. Yusufov requested of me and was all of a sudden shown a little slip of paper with writing on it no bigger than a matchbook showing I owed him four hundred and sixty seven dollars and some change and said I cannot believe this as I told him I had just spoken with him about payment and time to meet him which he confirmed three days ago on Friday afternoon where he started shaking his head no, saying he would never have said anything like that as I kept reminding him verbatim of what he said three days ago where he continued to shake his head no, saying he does not remember. What, Mr. Yusufov did say is that he needed the money right away that day as he was going to be evicted from his home and could I pay him this amount instead of the previously agreed upon price which I said no to asking to see my items and when showing them to me was missing several items and when asking where they were was told by Mr. Yusufov, 'they are here somewhere, I will find them and call you tomorrow. Give me until tomorrow to find them'. The call from Mr. Yusufov as promised never came but did receive a call from an attorney Peter Coffey as I said I believe Mr. Yusufov took or lost some of the clothing I asked him to tailor as they were all brand new items many with tags still attached several of which are now missing. I addressed the matter in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection where Mr. Yusufov provided a fraudulent response and submitted a fake receipt to their office(s) and have retained an attorney for this matter filing suit against, Mr. Yusufov. read more

I had some alterations done here in the past, so I decided to go back. I've been to many tailors since then, and have not found anything that even came close to matching the quality of work here. Over the past month, I have taken four suits, two suit jackets, five pairs of pants, and one wool winter coat in to be altered. When it comes to looking your best, fit is the absolute most important thing. Although it is true, usually, that you get what you pay for as quality usually does cost a bit more, a perfectly tailored garment will look far more expensive than an ill fitting one any day. I needed my suits to fit perfectly. I have wacky proportions, but they were no match for the many years of experience of Oleg. Although it took a few return trips to get the perfect fit that I was looking for, Oleg would accept nothing short of perfection. He is always super busy, but never fails to completely and totally fully dedicate all of his attention to his customers. I've used Oleg three times and each time has gone progressively downhill. The first time I used him was great. He did a rush job on my outfit for my son's bar mitzvah. The second time he didn't have my pants done on time and the legs ended up uneven. I just went back to pick up pants and a coat and they weren't ready yet. I even gave him an extra week past the date I was given to pick them up. He told me he was running behind yet when I went in he as in the back watching tv. Plus, his prices are very high. Yes he is a bit expensive. Yes it can take some time. There is a reason for this though. Oleg is a super friendly guy that does AMAZING work. In my opinion the most important thing you can do from a fashion perspective is find a good tailor. These are super difficult to come by. I am super grateful to have found one as good as Oleg. I am constantly amazed by the perfection that is his work. I have driven over an hour multiple times just to see him. I have even brought him a suit just to hear his thoughts and he loved the fit and recommended that nothing be done with it besides the pants being hemmed. Others could have lied to get money but not Oleg. He is as honest as they come. Last time I saw him he paid for coffee for my friend and I. Can't recommend this man enough. read more

When I read the reviews, I was very excited. When I went I was very happy ... VERY nice man. Prices were very high but I went ahead because of all the great ratings. Well, after visiting his store almost 10x because he overpromised and underdelivered - I am not happy at all!! VERY, VERY nice man. But to a fault. He asked when I needed my stuff back, I told him and he said - hmmmm, well.....ok. Then when it was time to pick up he only had a portion done. I saw him do it with other customers. He needs to be real with himself and the customers. Set the right expectations ... I am furious over the numerous drives to and from his store to pick up stuff he promised would be done. I had a pair of jeans that needed to be hemmed and Oleg did a fantastic job. We had originally agreed that I would pick them up in 2 weeks, but I needed them a few days earlier and he got the job done early without hesitation! Instead of trying on the jeans when I brought them in, I just brought in a pair of jeans (same brand) that were the perfect length. He just marked the ones to be hemmed and they turned out perfect.
