    Sunset

We have been here many times. The food is usually very good, and we enjoy sitting outside since you are on the lake and can watch the sunset. The service is sometimes slow but the food is really good, so it makes up for the slower service at times.

I was very skeptical when going to dinner here, the reviews weren't the most favorable. I was so pleasantly surprised. The service was great and our waitress was really informative and friendly. The drinks were very good and came out in a timely manner. We all started with salads which were suggested that would be great to split and most of us did, they were large portions even with splitting them. Everyone was raving about their entrees and I was as well. I got the duck, as someone who loves duck most places don't cook it right. First the portion was massive but the skin was so crispy and the meat was so tender. The sauce was very complimentary and paired so well. We ended with dessert that was also very good. We all decided we would come back very soon.

Came to enjoy the band The Divots and loved the waitress Christy. The food was almost as good as the view. Highly recommend you find your way out here

It's just so beautiful here, one of the most scenic places in Medina to eat. They take your temperature when you walk in. We weren't seated right away but were able to grab a drink and walk out to see the water while we waited for our reservations. The food was fantastic and we were able to watch the sun set. The view alone is worth a visit.

Stella Artois puored from a bottle

Stopped by The Oaks for dinner recently with the family. We were seated fairly quickly and we were served a carafe of water. I asked what beers they had on tap, but they didn't have anything on tap. So I ordered a bottle of Stella Artois. My wife ordered white wine. As an appetizer, we ordered a crab cake. And then we received some fresh bread, which was very good. A good while later, the crab cake was served. Then we put in our dinner orders. I'm trying to eat a little healthier due to gaining some COVID-19 weight. So I ordered the stuffed salmon dinner. My wife ordered a pork chop and my son ordered pasta alfredo. About 50 minutes later, our dinners were served. My salmon was delicous. I tasted my son's alfredo and it too, was delicious. It was VERY oily and garlicy. The garlic was delicious, but the oil was overkill. My son didn't eat it all, so we took it home. The next morning, there was so much oil in it that it glued itself to the styrofoam container. I had to use a butter knife and some actual leverage to pry it off. After I reheated it, there was an abundance of oil, most of which, I poured in the trash. My wife's pork chop packed some yummy flavor, but it's not a dish that I would have enjoyed eating in its entireity. The quality of the meal and the ambience was excellent. Our server was very friendly. With tip, three meals with drinks was around $160. That warrants three dollar signs on yelp, not two. Dinner was great and I'm glad we finally tried this spot. We'll be back, but probably on a special occasion.

Amish Country at its best!…read more This is a gem of a restaurant. We found this place thanks to the great reviews on Yelp. We were not familiar with Baltic, Ohio, yet we were so happy we found this place. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, it felt like we were eating in someone's home. Christian, the manager, could have not done anything more to accommodate us. He really went out of his way to enhance our experience. Our waitress, Arlene, had told us she had been there for several years and you could really tell this by her ability to help us through the menu. She wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied. The menu was one like I had never seen before. Everything from a large breakfast selection to Wagyu and Prime steaks. I had the best Ruben sandwich I had ever eaten ( that is saying a lot). We also shared the Wagyu filet with hand cut fries and sweet potato fries. The steak was sautéed with fresh mushrooms and onions. The steak was seasoned to absolute perfection. You have to try this. I have posted pictures of the menu. Don't forget a side order of homemade mac & cheese. Their prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food and the impeccable service. The decor is perfect. Simple yet very pretty. They even have a nice area (living room style) that we hung out in until our table was ready. This Amish restaurant is the "best of the best". I will be back in this area next year and will be sure to make this my go to restaurant. Bravo to the staff and chef, well done.

Pork chop was cooked alright, but definitely needed a sauce to add some flavor as it was bland. Coconut mango rice was sad (my wife is filipino so she knows a bit about rice, mangoes, and coconut). I had the reuben and it was alright. I don't understand why all the steaks and fish are "market price" on the menu. This is not a fancier restaurant that serves wagyu, why can you not figure out how to price half of your meats? Service = Good with no problems. Restaurant = Stylish, Spacious, and Clean.

We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival, which made for a great start to the evening. One thing I really loved was the storefront area when you walk in where you can shop for local foods and craft beers. Such a unique touch that really adds to the farm-to-table experience. We also loved that Medina Brewing Co. is downstairs, so after dinner we headed down for live music and drinks, which made the night even more fun. I ordered the Pear Bleu Cheese Salad with fresh pears, bleu cheese, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, and blackberry balsamic dressing. It was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect balance of sweet and savory. My husband ordered the Southtown Burger with fries featuring a chuck, short rib, and sirloin blend topped with aged cheddar, caramelized onions, local lettuce, and dill pickles. He said it was juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly. Overall, such a great spot for a relaxed dinner, date night, or evening out with friends. We'll definitely be back!

They provide customized menus as a special touch. As there are three selections on four on the courses, the dishes do not appear to be as customized for those with dietary issues. Jamie was our primary server providing a friendly and professional service. For my order, Three of us started with the Crostini while my wife had the Pave. I really liked the flavors of the Crostini, scrumptious! I had a bite of my wife's Pave and thought the texture and tastes superb! Preparing for the second and further courses was my a put off! We were asked to keep our utensils for the future courses! Nothing like dirty silverware sitting on the table dirtying up the area! At this price point, used silverware should be taken and replaced with new! That is the reason for my 4 of 5 stars. We experienced the same during our first visit two years ago and had hope it was resolved after mentioning to staff. That said, it was the only put off of our experience. For the second course my sister and I decided on the Scallop Arancini while my wife and mom went for the Zuppa Toscano. Again, the Scallop Arancini was amazing and scrumptious! The flavors were terrific! I tried a few spoonfuls of the Zuppa Toscano and thought it missing seasoning. The third found 3 of us ordering the Salmon Oscar while my wife ordered the Grilled Cheese. The salmon was rare, which I particularly like but the crab was cold. My preference would have been warm war with a bit of the béarnaise on top. My wife's Grilled Cheese was very tasty with the preserves but looked lonely sitting on the plate. For the last course three of us decided on the Pumpkin Crepe and my wife the Apple Spice Cake. I thought the Pumpkin Crepe to be a lovey presentation and very tasty and my wife enjoyed the spice cake. All in all a lovely experience overall! Thank you!

First two courses were excellent. Elk tartare was incredible, pave and lobster roll were very good. Zuppa toscano (soup) and shrimp & grits were nicely done. Cons: The meal quality started off great and went down with each course. With steak and salmon as other options, I thought a restaurant that would put a grilled cheese sandwich on a $100 meal must have an innovative sandwich. I was wrong. It was burnt and had no taste at all. An eight year old could have done better with a slice of Kraft. My Madeline dessert was four pieces of dry something, though the chocolate s'mores cake was significantly better.
