this was truly a great find for a quick, fresh lunch! i made my own bowl and got to customize it with exactly what I wanted from the protein to the vegetables to the sauces. staff was nice and helped explain everything since I hadn't been there before, and the space was clean. there's not a ton of seating, but the high ceilings made it feel more spacious than it was, so you didn't feel crowded while you ate. just wish there was a location closer to me, so I don't have to wait for a road trip to get another bite. read more

I've driven by this place a number of times and have been told by friends that it is good, so I decided to order from here one day at work. Just a note this is a delivery review so can't comment on what the restaurant looks like but can comment on the food. It was really good. I ordered the grilled steak bowl and my friend ordered the lamb bowl. Both arrived warm and fresh. I liked all of the different options and the portions were very generous. My steak was very tender and well seasoned. The vermicelli rice was a little dry but still good. They messed up my order so I did not get to try the baba ganoush, but I can say that the tzatziki sauce was nice. They also forgot my dressing so I didn't get to try the lemon and garlic tahini. My friend liked her lamb bowl. She stated that it was very flavorful and well seasoned. Good portion. She also did not get her dressing, which is why I took a point off the review. I know we'll probably order from here again, and I may actually stop in one day. Hopefully get to try that baba ganoush and the dressings. read more

ABSOOOOOOOLUTELY LOOOOVE this place I always get the Kefta wrap with extra spice and extra sumac with hummus and toum vermacilli rice veggies chopped onions lettuce and kibbeh. The place is nice inside looks clean, and the bathrooms are even pretty decent. The staff is always very friendly and seem like they want to be there I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff even when I ask them to chop the veggies for me always return and my kids love it. The tabouli used to be really really good when they were at ridgewood but since they have been at the new location I don't feel it's as good as it used to be, but it isn't bad it's just not as good and my mother in law makes the best but it used to come very close to it so you have an idea just how good it was. read more

I was the only person here this evening. Nice! I ordered the bowl Gyro Plate. I talked my way into tons of gyro meat. Yum. I got enough food for two. I took it home, and boy, was it a lot of food. I had a nice meal the next day with what was left. The meal was good. Very filling. The flavor was as expected. FYI. They do put French fries on the bottom of the bowl. This was the perfect place for a quick, tasty bite. I asked about GF options and was told most items were (probably 90% of the menu). I had a bowl and the server walked me through what items I could safely add, including chicken, steak and kefta, brown and the dill rice, hummus and baba ganoush, as well as most (all) of the veggies. Could not have the pita, vermicelli rice, gyro meat, some of the other dips and dressings. The thing that I love the most about Oliv is the variety of healthy, tasty choices that I can make that will ultimately give me a delicious meal in a pinch. The other nice thing is that the team is very friendly, patient and welcoming. Patience is needed because if you've never been to Oliv before, you'll need to study the menu a bit before placing your order at the walk-up counter. There's a huge variety of proteins and toppings that you can configure to make your own customized rice bowl, platter, sandwich, salad, etc. Think of the concept of Chipotle or Subway where you pick your own toppings, etc. Only, this fast-casual restaurant has more of a trendy, somewhat industrial vibe, while serving healthy, mediterranean-ish options. Aside from customizing your meal, they also have "house-made" recipe options that you can choose from. I want to throw a caution out.... Things can get pricy. After a certain point, toppings are $.50 each. Prices generally seem to range from $9 to $14 for a basic meal. If adding additional toppings, a drink, and a side or two, you can easily pay over $20 for one meal. That being said, portion sizes are substantial. Recently, I ordered a Lamb Gyro "as is". It came with chopped red onion, chopped tomato, tzatziki sauce, a few crispy fries and paprika. I asked to have the fries on the side instead of in the gyro. I also ordered a side of dolmades. I did not order a drink as I almost always carry a water bottle with me. My bill was $22 dollars. The gyro could have fed at least 2 people. There were 8 dolmades. The amount of food was plenty. Although the dolmades were too tangy for my palate, the food was tasty and I'll definitely return. You should check this great option out when you want to splurge a bit on some tasty, fast, fresh mediterranean styled food with plenty of options to suit everyone! Except, instead of being grilled like, you know, actual kofta should be, mine looked like it had been simmered in dishwater. They also managed to sneak in a mysterious $4 surcharge for a couple of vegetable scraps tossed inside at checkout. No explanation offered--maybe garnish here is a luxury item. So, congratulations: your mediocre wrap now sets you back a solid $18-19. Of course, the tip for this SELF-SERVICE counter order starts at 15% at checkout. I guess they think it's a 5-star full-service dining experience. The audacity! Oh, and just when you think the suffering is over, you hit the soda machine. It proudly serves "Florida Water Special"--that delightful chalky limestone flavor in your Coke. Who needs a water filter when you can offer geology in a cup, right? Stopped in for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised!! While it is a sit down restaurant, it is on the smaller side and more of what I would consider a great lunch spot. Menu is set up so that you can choose a wrap or a bowl and customize to your choice of base, protein and toppings. Staff was friendly and patient. I opted for a lamb mini bowl which included five toppings and a generous portion of meat - all delicious and fresh. The mini bowl was more than enough for a lunch portion plus I added the pita chips which had the perfect amount of seasoning and crispy taste. Ok so this place reminds me of Chipotle but mediterranean style . The tables were sticky but let's talk about the food. I got the steak wrap and I like the fact that you get so many topping choices and it's a nice portion or food but it lacks flavor. The roasted peppers are basically raw with a little bit of char. The steak had fat chewy pieces so that was a waste. Maybe I'll try this place for the second time and I'll try the chicken instead . read more

Nice looking restaurant with a friendly person behind the counter. If you're not from the area look for the small plaza with a Great Clips hair salon. The steak bowl and the Kefta bowl were ok. Mine was supposed to have black olives and greek dressing on it - those were left out. It did have Tzatziki and tomatoes as requested. The greek fries were pretty sad - ten bucks for what appeared to be frozen fries with a topping that we tasted, then most of them got tossed. I'd planned to visit the smaller Oliv Epicurean on US1 in person and eat-in. I'd still try that smaller venue, but not the one out on LPGA -- at least for takeout. Big NO on the fries. read more

This was great Mediterranean / Greek place with great service. My wife has several diet restrictions and they easily worked around them without charging us an arm and a leg. They also have a dairy free gluten free cake that taste like real cake, which was a plus. If we lived in the area this would become one of our stample restrictions. read more
