I had a great experience. I really enjoyed the Calabrian Steak & Shrimp Bucatini. The flavor profile is amazing. It is on the spicy side, so watch out if you can't handle that. However, the steak is too salty and overcooked to my taste, I asked for medium rare but they said they only do medium. I would leave out the steak next time. The Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo was decent to me but my boyfriend did not like it due to the balsamic vinegar and sun-dried tomatoes. I thought the chicken & gnocchi soup tasted a little sour, could be from the cheese. Our server Oliviah got me a free dessert (Strawberry Cream Cake which was yummy) for my birthday and was very pleasant overall. Our server, Hannah (with pink hair), was very rude and unprofessional. After I paid for our meal, she approached me and said, "Was the service not good? I see you didn't tip." I had, in fact, tipped nearly $6 on a $30 tab, which is 20%. When I showed her my receipt as proof, she continued insisting that I hadn't tipped and that her machine didn't show it. She then began clearing items from our table, and I had to ask her to step away so we could collect our things. The manager was very kind and offered a gift card to make things right, which I declined since I don't visit Olive Garden often. The hostesses also seemed familiar with similar complaints about this server. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I hope management addresses this behavior, as no guest should be confronted or made uncomfortable over a misunderstanding about tipping. read more

The food is cafeteria quality except the bread sticks and salad were excellent! The prices are ok for the lunch menu. Seven of us went last night to Olive Garden (Bountiful). A 20 minute wait turned into an hour. Got seated drinks and appetizers ordered quickly but waited almost 30 minutes. Ordered entrees soups and salads came for the three but after 2 yes two hours NO entrees for the rest of us. Waiter was annoyed that we asked for our food. Assistant manager came to talk to us after another 20 minutes and said the kitchen was behind. He did comp the orders entrees. After yes another 39 minutes the waiter brought us the entrees. Each put into the small carry out box. Yes an entire entree stuffed into the small box to include "the tour of Italy". Pictured is the Ravioli entree I ordered yea stuffed into the small box. This has to be the worst Olive Garden in Utah. I tried to give it another shot but it was just bad. Service is mediocre. Food is terrible. I ordered the steak Gorgonzola Alfredo which I was glade they brought it back. The Alfredo portion wasn't bad. But the steak was probably the worst steak I have ever ate. It was way over salted and they must have used the leftover of a filet: it was all the fatty nasty bits and was over cooked. I couldn't even eat it. I had the greatest breadstick experience just now. I'll dream of those carbo loaded angels for weeks.

I worked in food service for a decade. My family operates a successful chain restaurant in this same area. I am not a typical Olive Garden antagonist. That being said, the last three times I have eaten at this Olive Garden location have been awful. Actually, what's worse than awful? Abhorrent? Criminally negligent? The soup is laughable. Water thin. Chicken gnocchi is poorly titled, as the last two times I have eaten here, my soup has had no chicken, and one single gnocchi. More like no-cchi. The food itself took forever to come out (like, well over an hour on both occasions). Once it deigned to grace my table with its presence, the food was uniformly atrocious. The servers? Sweet Jesus, they were useless. Had to beg for drink refills. Ordered Alfredo boats, which were forgotten time and again, until they finally brought them out AFTER we got our food. Endless excuses about how slow the kitchen was. Ceaseless mentions of how new the servers were (turned out both servers had been at this location for over 4 months--not new). One of the servers spilled a nearly full Coke on my phone. The other emptied two discarded soups into another discarded soup to make "clearing the table easier", and spilled a bunch of cold soup on my daughter's jacket. More garish? Both "servers" clumsily tried to explain tipping to me like I had never heard of the concept before (I am 41-I have been tipping in restaurants since Beyoncé was still in Destiny's Child). The one "waitress" literally checked the tip line in front of my table, and stormed off in a huff. I left her 16%. Even though she truly didn't deserve anything. Classy. The manager was about as useful as a box of hair. On one experience, the manager realized we had waited nearly 90 minutes for our food, and offered us a whopping $20 gift card (our bill was $168). Not to mention the dude was dressed like homeless magician who had never learned to comb his hair. In short, this Olive Garden location just flat-out sucks. If the Olive Garden corporation wants to protect its reputation in the area, they ought to shut this outpost down. And, maybe burn the foundation to the ground. I guess I can say one good thing about my experience--at least it was consistently awful. Bountiful diners deserve better. read more

It was a very busy night and there was no wait and I just walked in and she was getting mad at him for trying to figure out an effective way to place me...She was very loudly verbally abusing this employee in front of me and my group! Very embarrassed for this lady acting this way.. She should know as a restaurant manager she would understand and trust the employee that it would work out! my sister and I were passing through Utah and came to this exact Olive Garden to have dinner at. I wanted to come on here and shoutout our amazing server, who treated us with such warm and caring energy. She really made our dinner here so comfortable and absolutely exceptional. She was so attentive in making sure we were well fed and happy!!! Shoutout to Daniele, she was truly such a pleasure to meet and made our dining experience feel like we're right at home. I have been ordering meals to go from Olive Garden for the last three years and the quantity AND quality have both taken a dive. I know it's not an AUTHENTIC Italian restaurant, but I've always liked their fettuccini Alfredo. Unfortunately, today was a much different experience. The sauce was watery and lacked its usual creamy flavor. The chicken tasted like dry plastic. On top of all that, there was only about half the fettuccini in the container that there normally is. I'm not kidding when I say the ratio was almost half and half between the chicken and noodles. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the fagioli soup was delicious. read more

I'm giving them 4 stars because the manager made things right. Our first server was horrible. Her tone wasnt friendly or pleasant. No kind of smile or a feeling that she was happy to even serve us. She spilled an alcoholic drink on my sister and didn't apologize once. Never once came back to fill our drinks. After a disagreement about her service she went on to say she was trying to save the turtles as to her reason for not giving any straws We did end up getting a new server who made all the difference in the world. We came down after a long day in which we put down our dog of 15 years. The poor dog was battling two cancers, liver issues, and bad joints. It was difficult and we decided to finally get something to eat after a visit to the Cathedral. The Staff notices out demeanor (Daughter had tears) and found out about our day. The food was welcoming and delicious. This was our first time since this restaurant recently opened. We have been to the one in Layton, Downtown, and West Valley so this was the choice for us. The layout is nice and the restaurant is clean. The Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Alfredo, and Cheese Stuff Shells were outstanding and well worth ordering again. Don't forget the Breadsticks! What really put it over the top is that when we were finished and ready to pay, the general manager, Jason Linder, came out and said some kind words and presented us with a card signed by the entire staff. it was unexpected and the love they gave was well needed. My daughter prayed at the church that her dog would give her a sign that everything is alright. I think she found the sign. By the way, Jason comp the meal as well. There are good people in the world. I totally and whole heartedly recommend this place. A place that goes above and beyond for their customers. Thank You Olive Garden West Bountiful!
