Vegetable Beef Soup. Season just right. Needed nothing added
    Michael M.

Was looking for some clam chowder while in town and found this mom and pop spot. Very simple concept and good food. Friendly staff. Bread was so fresh I almost went back and purchase me some.

How do you screw up a grilled cheese. We have eaten here twice in the last 2 weeks. Both times it was underwhelming. Both times the got our order wrong and food was missing. The cheese on my sandwich wasn't even melted.

My 1st time back in years and probably my last!! I ordered the sub with beef vegetable soup, a soup I have loved and been craving for the past month, so I dropped in on my way home. The soup tasted similar to progressive soup from a can! The meat from it decinerated in my mouth! The breadsticks were dry and the sandwich mediocre at best.

Which was made up of perfectly fried pork topped with Dukes mayo (my fav), ranch-kraut (my new fav), and dill. You can really taste the ingredients which is such a plus for me as too many ingredients in a sandwhich can get muddy. - They had a special butternut squash soup with calabrian chili which was phenomenal. At only $3 it was a perfect side for winter. CONS: - Pricey. I think at this price point if it added a bag of chips or some time of fruit or a small little side or maybe a can of soda included it would be a perfect meal and a very reasonable price point. My only suggestion.

I…read morehad noticed Deadpan from some foodie articles and accounts - amazingly, they decided to keep their business going due to the massive support they received when they announced their closure a few months ago. The owner was kind and helped me pick between the two sandwiches I was being indecisive about - the Oh Schnitzel and the Hot Chopped Cheese. He asked if I could handle spicy and I said yes. I let him choose a sandwich for me between the two and he chose the Hot Chopped Cheese and said he thinks I'd enjoy it. He described it as a sandwich with chopped-up cheeseburger fillings inside, and they use a lamb and beef patty instead of just beef. Right, he was. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and the meat was spiced and slightly spicy, but nothing I couldn't handle. The sandwich was flavorful, and I'm impressed that the bread wasn't too thick because sometimes places serve sandwiches with way too much bread-to-filling ratio. The bread was also a nice texture, I'm glad it wasn't too toasty or crunchy like some sandwiches can get that rub the roof of my mouth raw. I felt like I had a well-balanced meal out of the Chopped Cheese. Flavor-packed meat, cheese, veggies, bread - that's all you need. The food was delicious, and I don't doubt that the rest of the items on the menu taste great, but the prices feel high, yes, even in this economy. I say this because I was able to finish this sandwich and still felt I had room to eat some more, perhaps a little snack. I almost always cannot comfortably finish my food in one sitting when dining out, so that was a sign to me that this wasn't all that much food, and I could tell from the get-go because the sandwich did look small.

Head to the back deli upon walking in and you will be asked for your order at the counter. While you wait for the sando, browse the Asian themed market for a unique find, such as a flavor of Lays you've never tried (or seen!) or even a hot sauce from the many they carry. Orders can be taken to go, or eaten outside on one of their many tables. I'll definitely be back soon, they are open for business no doubt about that!

I had a cheese tasting at the farmers market and seeing the space they make the cheese was impressive. Cookie from Alaska, Olympia provisions from Oregon at same prices as Oregon was a surprise! The sandwiches are so so so good. Sadly my kid couldn't eat his but I enjoyed my half very very much. I knew it had farro on it, so I ordered the farro salad. When they called my name and I checked my salad, I noticed it was definitely not the same as the one I had ordered last time, so I approached the employee who was at the counter that called out orders. Female, short-light brown hair, wavy curls. I told her the last time I came there were lots of vegetables and she gave me this dumbfounded look and said, "that's a Greek salad", which I knew wasn't right either because a Greek salad doesn't have farro. I just asked if I could add the vegetables to my farro salad and she continued to look at me annoyed then looked behind her at who may have been the manager? She had long-dark brown hair just below her shoulders. Bangs and it was pulled back in a low ponytail. Fair skin and a great smile. The energy immediately shifted when she arrived and she happily offered to add "Greek vegetables" for me. Walked it out to me when she was done adding them. She alone helped salvage that second experience. Bravo. After I had time after work, I went over the menu more carefully and I found the salad I was so impressed with on my first visit. It's called SALAD TRIO. It's an offering of all 3 of their individual salads combined into one amazing salad. Farro, Greek, and Tuna atop an ample amount of Arugula and your choice of dressing. So good! Their sea salt chocolate chip cookies are also delicious. It's quite a spacious market. They have dining on one side where you can order their salads, sandwiches, and merch. The market is on another side that offers cheese, deli meats, oil/vinegar, and so much more. Lunch gets busy here, but it's well worth a visit.
