Hello everyone! I absolutely love Olive Garden. However, when we got to the restaurant we were seated, no wait time, we order our drinks and get the,. Then the waiter takes our order and we all got the salad as our side. So the couple next to us got their salad BEFORE THEY ORDERED. They got OUR breadsticks and salad ! This Location of Olive Garden is not as nice looking as the one in Fargo ND - yet it's cozy & the waitress very engaging /friendly. For some reason, I really like their salad -- I had two helpings ! One of my favorite things to try at any Italian Restaurant is Lasagna - well, I could choose Olive Garden's Lasagna Fritta, an Appetizer that's 1,130 calories or Lasagna Classico, at about 940 calories & a bit larger portion - Lasagna Classico is on the Main menu & I chose it. Came here with the wife for an evening out. The inside was nice and clean. The restroom was clean. The server was great. All food came out as ordered. They bring plenty of food for a group. I have to give a shout out to 'Paige' at Olive Garden in Minot! She rocked! She was so sweet, accommodating & was a bright light on a very dim night. Her service was top notch & she gave the restaurant a very friendly glow. The food was very good. The chef was able to get the 'Capellini' (Angel Hair) pasta 'Al Dente' - Which can be difficult to do. So, Kudos to him for that! I was in a booth in the bar area- That's restaurant 'jail' for people who come in 'alone'! HA! I was never made to feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. Paige made sure of that! My wife and I ordered the salad , soup, and breadsticks item. Bread was good as well as the soup. The salad seemed to taste good toountil I found a long black hair in it. Waiter offers to bring a different salad but we declined after the first hair. $20 for the salad and he discounted $9 and offered a "free" desert. Again we got seated very quickly and it was quite busy at around lunch/dinner time. The server didn't get to us about 10 mins after we sat and that wasn't really a bad thing since it gave us time to decide on our order. She came and asked if we were ready and while my husband told her what he wanted she nodded and smiled. We assumed she got it down but then she just looked at us and laughed and asked for us to repeat it again. That's not a problem, we were all once new at our jobs and needed to get the hand of things. I wish she said the names of the soup though, she was saying that got chicken and dumplings and then said a veggie soup and then pointed at the menu area. I know Minestrone is a veggie soup but I thought it made her look less knowledgable about the menu because she just ended up pointing at the soups and saying these are there. Our appetizers came and it wasn't much of a wait for it to come out. Our pasta on the other hand took forever. Maybe because they were busy? But when I got my pasta it was a bit on the cold side (happened the last time I went here too). Angel hair pasta only takes about 4 mins until it's cooked just right. My pasta fell apart and broke into tiny pieces when I tried to scoop it up with my fork. The first bite I took felt like mush. Something I'd feed to a baby because they can't chew. Needless to say, it was money not well spent. It tasted horrible, the only thing I enjoyed was the soup and the water. This is most definitely my last time eating here. What I did like was the manager coming around to each table making sure we're doing all right (before my food came out) and he was really nice. This doesn't happen too often in dining facilities these days. Props to him. Pros this visit: The manager impressed me & we got seated quickly Cons: The Stuffed mushroom (had a funny taste) & my husband/ friends know I love stuffed mushrooms. Sorry to say this was not very good from the moment I walked in the door. They wanted me to sit in the lounge. They offered me a table and a booth was a problem even though they were not busy. The soup was decent, but the angel hair with pesto was MUSHY, and swimming in greasy oil. I did eat it, and I am regretting it even as I write. As far as the food: it's an Olive Garden, if you've been to one, you've been to them all. Which means if you are a fan already than this won't disappoint. If you are a food snob and would rather avoid frozen meats and canned sauces, this one won't convert you into a fan (and neither will any other in the chain) For me it's decent reliable Italian food in cities that otherwise lack 5 star fresh Italian food (and there aren't any that are better that I've found in Minot - I've heard rumors of some but all have turned out to be closed) We eat here once or twice a month and the food has always been consistent, the staff is always friendly and the waiting times to get in aren't that bad (except for the occasional holiday or event weekends) Overall it's not a bad choice for pasta or other Italian dishes in a city that is sorely lacking those kinds of options. read more

Five stars all the way. From the moment my family and I walked through the door to getting the check, we received top notch service and food every time that we have been. We have never had to wait more than maybe 3 minutes, the hostesses are very friendly and approachable. Yum! I always love eating at Olive Garden and this one was one of he best! I really wish I remembered our waitresses name because she was awesome. I have a three year old and I love when they talk to him and are patient (he loves to order) she was quick to fill our drinks and my mom had ordered a meal and they forgot to put very much noodles.
