Olive Garden was the place we celebrated many many special occasions and I love it for what it is. I know it's not authentic Italian :) It was busy but we got there right before the rush. Order food 2.5 hours ago and sent my son to pick it up at 4pm when they said it would be ready. On arrival, they hadn't even started cooking it yet. They said it would be at least 1 more hour. I know it's busy but when you order in advance, it should be ready. Very disappointed. read more

Hopefully none of my Italian family reads this review but I really do love Olive Garden....I just love being able to stuff my face for like $25 and the food here always hits. I don't come often but when I do I always love it. My pro tip is come for lunch on a weekday. You won't find me here for dinner or a weekend as it's much too busy. I definitely understand some of the bad reviews because wait times can be long and this place is overcrowded. However, finding that sweet spot of weekday lunches, I always have good service and get right in and out. I've never had issues the last few times I've come for lunch. Staff are always nice and the food comes out fast. I feel that the staff here are attentive and on top of it. Prices are pretty reasonable as there is always some kind of deal going on here. Endless soup and salad specials, same with pastas. You can't beat the quantity you get for your money. For Americanized Italian food I always think this place serves up tasty food. You have to remember this is an American pasta chain. If you have unrealistic expectations of the food then sure you'll be disappointed. When I come I know I'm getting carbs and lots of sauce. Sounds like a win to me! I love their Alfredo sauce and even the five cheese which is close to a pink sauce. The pasta is always cooked well here and all of their proteins are tasty, I switch between the sausage, meatballs, and fried chicken. The appetizers also slap here too! Got to love me some fried lasagna fritters. For non alcohol drinks I love the peach tea but their cocktail menu isn't too bad itself - lots of fruity fun looking drinks. I know chains get a bad rap but honestly I love me some Olive Garden. Especially this location as they are consistent with the food and have a nice team here on the weekdays. read more

Dinner at Olive Garden! Greeted by a kind hostess and were lead to our table promptly. Our server Luis was awesome and had a great energy to him. Got everything perfect on our drinks and food orders. Didn't have to over wait to be served our meal. We all got the Never ending pasta, soup or salad. The pastas were great/flavorful! We know what Olive Garden has to offer and we loved it. Pastas were cooked well, the sauces were good and not salty or watered down. Salad was fresh and Zuppa soup was perfect and had all the fixings and not just broth (thanks Luis for the fresh batch!). The service overall was great. Never had to call for service because all the servers and floor managers were checking on all the tables consistently and communicating. You love to see it! It gets very busy here but it never feels chaotic and you can enjoy your dinner peacefully and still enjoy a good conversation with your family and not be bothered by anything. Stop by the store and buy the Chef Boradi pasta meal and save your money. I ordered red sauce for my pasta, ZERO flavor. I had what they call Italian sausage, no taste or spices in the sausage. Not sure if they have been introduced to garlic, oregano, basil or onion when making sauce. Food was also served like warm, restaurant was not busy at all.. Went for wives birthday, I fell on the sword for her. Olive Garden, what Taco Bell is to Mexican good.. Go to Buca De Pepo in Thousand Oaks and get a more flavorful meal. read more

Our group of 10 was accommodated promptly upon arrival for lunch, and we enjoyed good food accompanied by the never-ending salad and breadsticks. My eggplant parmigiana was perfect. Our enjoyment of the meal was enhanced by the service of our server Fay. No one declined his offer of extra of fresh parmesan grated on our dishes, and he obliged promptly the request for extra sauce. He remembered one of us had an intolerance for flour. Fay's thoughtful touches like supplying extra forks when he delivered the huge chocolate lasagna dessert, offering bags in which to take home the leftover breadsticks, were the cherry on top of our pleasant Olive Garden experience. The issue that prevents this review from giving the 5th star is the fact that the person who ordered spaghetti with meat sauce had a hard time finding the meat, and it seems her spaghetti was mistakenly topped with marinara instead. By the time she could tell Fay about the mistake, she had already devoured most of the dish and had to decline Fay's offer to bring her the spaghetti with meat sauce. read more

Gigi was our server and she was spectacular. Our large party was seated pretty quickly. We were famished and she was quick to take our drinks, orders and appetizer. My sister's meal tasted a little weird and she was quick to bring out a new one. The service was amazing, soups came out quick and plenty of breadsticks. My chicken fettuccine Alfredo was creamy and delicious. The drinks had free refills and everyone was satisfied with their meals. Only reason we came here was because we had a gift card. Now I remember why I never came back. Service was mediocre. Not friendly or attentive. I had to get up and grab napkins myself. I went with two friends and decided to share some apps and one entree. The portions were so big I'm glad I didn't order my own entree!! We also got two side salads along with the one that came with the entree so we can all eat the salad. Upon arrival we were told we would have to wait 10 minutes or so for a table but we were not in a rush so we waited patiently. After we were seated our waitress came over and we placed our drink orders. When she returned with all but one of out drinks we put in our food order. Some time went by and the last drink finally arrived. The food arrived fairly quickly except for my dish which arrived some time later. Everything looked and tasted great except some old lettuce in the salad. We put in for a refill on some drinks but one took a while to be brought out. Then when it was it was incorrect. After waiting for my server I just decided to walk to the bar and exchange it. The bartender said it would be brought to my table but it never came. Finally the waitress realized and said she would get it but I pointed to the empty plates and said "no need". And I ordered a box for my plate which I was no longer hungry for. We paid on the handheld machine and waited for the box that didn't come until I finally saw my server and I asked again. Food is good. I tried the chicken parmigiana and it was delicious. Chicken was hot juicy and crispy. Chicken gnocchi soup is a classic & the house salad is refreshing. Tip is to make use of the unlimited breadsticks soup and/or salad with your entree and take home your entree. Service is always polite and kind. They check in on you a couple times making sure youre doing alright. Restrooms are pretty clean. Tables are wiped down well. Some chairs have food particles or crumbs so I think they need to improve on that. read more

Next day there was a $68 charge from Olive Garden. When I called, the manager found our payment and said there was a 20% tip added. So tell me $32 on a $56 bill? You needed a 50% tip?! Okay for small groups if you don't want a long wait. Parties of 4 or more you end up having long wait times regardless of being a walk-in, you did a reservation, or online waitlist. Groups of over 6, don't bother with reservations. You can only speak with a manager and the host staff gives you the runaround while you wait on hold. MAJOR ATTITUDE from the managers when you ask for a reservation no matter much notice you give them. Like, they really don't like large groups and the most recent time we called with a two week notice and it got to the point we called out the manager for his attitude on the phone. He sighed and said "this place is always busy" and said "either you want the reservation or not". This is common apparently when we asked others about their experiences with group reservations. What's the point of calling this a family restaurant if you get attacked for showing up with your family? Food is okay but nothing seems too fresh. Soups have come out still partially frozen and the sauces were already separating a couple times. Long wait for food too once you order. We've only been here a couple times over the last 2 years and this has continued to be the service and food provided. If you absolutely have a craving then go for it over here otherwise spend your money elsewhere. read more

Some people think of Olive Garden as just another chain restaurant. Wrong. Today's visit proved a point to me... even Olive Garden will customize their menu to accommodate any dietary restrictions. I've been eating vegan for two weeks and when I looked at the menu thought I was going to have to subsist on salad. Luiz, our fantastic waiter, said he could special order my angel hair pasta with sauteed mushrooms and asparagus in olive oil. It was DELICIOUS! I didn't feel deprived in the least. Luiz said it looked so good he was going to try it. Ask for his table WHEN you go. Adam, the manager, came by to check on our service. I usually expect this in higher end restaurants. Impressive. Went here having not been to an Olive Garden for many years. They used to be a staple of the Casual Dining Genre that seems to be dying off these days. The bottomless salad and breadsticks are a staple here that brings back the nostalgia of Olive Garden. Our salad was good, but the breadsticks lacked the nostalgia feeling and tasted more like cardboard than I remember. No butter glazed topping/seasoning, no nothing. They were unimpressive. Our main course entrees were nicely portioned; however, there was a considerable amount of salt in the breading of my wife's Chicken Marsala. Not sure what happed here, but it was way over done. My Chicken Alfredo was good, with the broccoli upgrade (kudos for getting the broccoli. cooked and not raw like most restaurants). The wine with dinner was a surprise hit. served at the right temperature and didn't seem like it was old. Overall, not sure I'd go back. The nostalgia feeling was just not there. read more

All were tasty but were pretty dry, all definitely needed more sauce, but the kicker is we paid for a large sauce boat which was $8 and the amount of Alfredo sauce was laughable for the $8 we paid. On Monday, My mom & I visited here. We were first greeted by the hostess, we were quickly able to get a table. The restaurant & bathroom was really Clean. All the staff are super friendly & nice. As we sat down our waiter Victor served us . He was great & took the the time explaining the food to my mom, who is hard of hearing. He a sweet and kind gentleman! I did noticed he had 6 tables including us, he was on it! Even though he was super busy he made sure that he took the time to asks all the tables if they need anything , with the smile on his face. There so many choices to choose from! We ordered unlimited soup and salad , he was constantly asking us if we needed a refills while serving the others. He is a Superstar !! I wanted to have a quick lunch with a very simple pasta with some grilled chicken and what used to be their very delicious zuppa toscana soup. I sat at the bar and the server was very personable and quick. The soup was basically water - had one piece of kale, two pea size pieces of sausage and about a teaspoon of potato. There was more potato skin than potato. I ordered plain angel hair pasta, grilled chicken and mushroom sauce on the side. After waiting about 20 minutes, I got an extremely saucy, wet angel hair pasta with very salty, breaded chicken, and what tasted like anything but mushrooms. The server did notice that the sauce was not on the side but after waiting so long, I told her I would just work with it. I figured I could eat a little bit of the pasta, the chicken and be fine. However, it turns out that it was not grilled chicken, but the salty breaded chicken. I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes. I ordered the tiramisu and a cup of decaf coffee. The tiramisu was delicious. The coffee was really weird. It tasted like an odd hot tea instead of coffee. The breadsticks have a very strange chemical aftertaste. I don't know if they were stale or just too many additives and preservatives. It seems pretty clear due to the poor quality of food coming out of their kitchen that Olive Garden will be following in Red Libster's footsteps soon. read more

The hostesses (3-4) were so unorganized, incompetent, and untrained to think. They assigned us to a table in the sun, so I asked if we can be sat at another table not in the sun, so the hostess mumbled something about printing tickets. I don't give a hoot about who's printing what. We went back and sat at the lobby, and we watched them seat 5 groups same size as ours. Then we went to ask host desk, what happened to our table, and she said they lost our ticket. So incompetent and there were 4 hostesses up there trying to handle seating people! If they can think out of the box, they would have sat us at the next available table of 4 and put the party after us to the sunny table. Not rocket science! read more
