My complicated, dairy-free order to go was executed flawlessly. Special thanks to Laura, Gill and Amanda for the exceptional hospitality.

This was at the new Oxnard location. The pasta sauce was too blend. I didn't enjoy my meal.

We had Chicken Piccata on the lunch special with fettuccini, a Cesar salad, some of the toasted ravioli and a cup of minestrone.

Attentive, professional, and somehow always there right when we needed her without hovering. Started with a Cadillac margarita and yes... it was balanced, refreshing, and dangerous in the "I could have two more" way. Love that they add the Grand Marnier on the side, as they should. Food rundown because everything deserved its moment: * Diavola pizza: the crust?? perfect. Light, crisp, slightly chewy, all the things. Ingredients tasted fresh fresh. The calabrese + crushed red pepper combo had a nice kick without doing too much. * Romana salad: not your basic salad. The speck, artichokes, goat cheese, pine nuts... it's giving main character energy. * Beef carpaccio: super tender, bright from the lemon, and balanced with the arugula + parm. Clean and simple in the best way. * Arancini: crispy outside, cheesy center, sitting in that tomato sauce like they know they're the favorite. Overall vibe: cozy but elevated, great service, and food that actually lives up to the menu descriptions (rare). Only complaint? I'm already planning my next visit.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would…read more This was, without a doubt, the worst service I've ever experienced, especially considering the price point. Not only did it take a long time for anyone to even take our order, but they also forgot our waters. It took about 20 minutes before we received anything. We ordered drinks and two appetizers. One appetizer arrived after about 20 minutes, but our drinks didn't arrive until approximately 25 minutes after we ordered. While we waited, we observed several waiters standing around talking instead of helping customers. We also watched two other tables ask multiple times for their checks before finally receiving them. The staff didn't appear busy or overwhelmed, which made the delays even more frustrating. To make matters worse, several tables that were seated after us received their food before we did. After waiting a total of 40 minutes without receiving our second appetizer or even being offered drink refills, we had enough. We asked the busser for our check and requested to cancel the remaining appetizer because we were extremely frustrated at that point. Instead of a manager or supervisor coming to speak with us, the busser returned to tell us that we couldn't cancel the appetizer because it had already been prepared. We paid, took the meatballs to go, and left disappointed. Only then did our server come over and say, "Sorry, we got stacked up." No manager or person in charge ever came to apologize or address the situation. The person who appeared to be the manager simply dropped off our boxed food and walked away without saying a word. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I've dined here multiple times before and have always enjoyed both the food and the service, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, I will no longer support this business and will make sure to warn my family, friends, and colleagues to save their money and support businesses that value their customers and hire competent, attentive staff.

MOOD: Getting hangry and ready to check this place out! #YAY REVIEW: I am so excited to have finally stopped here! I was cautious as the line to enter is ^always out the door and around the way, but the line moved fast this day! Awesome! Service: It was awesome. Pleasantly and happily surprised for the genuine friendliness and help. I had asked for a few recommendations as I was a first timer and every staff member was a great help. I observed the interactions from other staff with other customers and the service was bar none. Return customer made! Food: I omitted to get the name of my sandwich! It was the egg sandwich and it was excellent, highly recommend. The chicken and waffle was incredible! The seasoning on the chicken blew my mind. I am ordering that next visit, for sure. Ambiance: Nice, open, airy, light seating. My only note is that it gets ^quite loud inside. Not a ding against anyone or anything, I just struggled to conversate with my party. Review: I couldn't recommend Immigrant Son Caffe more! Can't wait to return to order the chicken and waffles!

A good sized space with outdoor seating that loops around one corner. Once seated the waitress came by shortly to get our drink order however it took a little while to get our food order in though. We got the Breakfast charcuterie, Focaccia Chicken Sandwich, Smoked salmon eggs Benedict and Basque cheesecake. All were delicious! At the end of the meal we also got a complimentary pizzelle cookie. Loved the decor and ambiance, the flags and art gave a very European feel. Service was mostly good, our waitress was friendly and checked on us regularly. They have a location in Ventura as well, so I will try that location next time.

Or maybe too many tables for her. I'll give her grace. She just was bothered any time we asked for something, so it completely ruined the experience. It took forever for her to come and take our order. Probably 30 minutes and we chatting enjoying each other's company but still. She didn't check in on us and we needed to ask the busboy for water as well. He was wonderful and friendly. The restaurant itself is nice. Great view of the marina however service needs work. Additionally, some food is premade as some dishes were out in like 5 minutes and my friend's Alfredo with grilled chicken took way longer to come out. We all waited to eat until she got her food as we all wanted to have dinner together as a friend date. We all wanted to ate together! My dish was a shrimp pesto pasta which was $35. Def more expensive than other restaurants but a huge portion. I didn't order any cocktails. I would come back and see if improved at a later date. It's fam owned, so check it out and see what you think.
