I was with 5 other friends today to celebrate one friend's 70th birthday. All of us are retired from medical fields, most are hard of hearing, and we do like a drink or two when celebrating. McKinzie N was our server, and she was so patient! We were loud a few times laughing snd crying tears. We were talking a little graphically about surgeries before realizing it (sorry) and stopping. We had multiple appetizers, drinks, bar drinks, main courses, desserts, and to-go orders, all absolutely delicious. Kinzie was never flustered and always had the sweetest smile. I ordered the Chicken Marsala. When the waiter brought it out, part of his hand touched my food. The dish wasn't good and it seemed like it wasn't cooked all the way. Almost immediately after leaving, I felt an indigestion that I've never felt before. I had to sit up because anytime that I tried to lay down, it felt as if the food was trying to come back up. I've been to a few Olive Gardens and I've ordered the same thing (I've even made it myself) and I've never had this reaction to it. We got here at 4:50 with a ten minute wait and got the text that our table was ready at 5. We were seated and no one came to take our drink order until 20 minutes later. We went ahead and ordered and our salad was brought out a few minutes later. By the time we got our drinks, we'd already had time to finish our salad. We never got any bread and just now received our food at 6:05. I wish I could give this more than one star because i've worked in a restaurant and I understand how it can be some nights, but it is a tuesday night and we have had absolutely horrible service. There was one lady who has come up to our table and apologized and she was very kind and it was much appreciated but the service is just ridiculously terrible. My mother received a 50$ gift card the last time she was here because she found a roach in her food and warned us not to come but we'd already been seated when I found this out. Roaches can happen at any restaurant and can also easily be fixed so I wasn't that grossed out by it, UNTIl a bug fell on me while we were waiting for our food. I really hope something is done to make this olive garden better because I will never be back to eat here unless something changes. I hate to leave bad reviews and be that person but the service we received along with the bug falling on me at the table is just unacceptable. We still have no received any breadsticks and we are leaving now. Do better Olive Garden. read more

When my wife and I were being seated our waitress made a statement that she was not going to stay. When she came back for orders we were not asked if we wanted soup or salad. My wife had a bad experience last night and I am very disappointed. Ever since the new GM took over, they have slowly been going down hill! I have seen the quality of employees go down hill. I miss the old GM's, Brenda and the one before her Jim! They understood customer service! Well, last night my wife ordered the NEW mushroom sauce pasta, and it was absolutely horrible. I shared my chicken parm with her and sent it back. The on duty manager asked her if she would like something different and my wife said some Alfredo to go. Well to add insult to injury they refunded the 9.99 and charged her 12 something for the pasta!. They obviously have no customer service experience. I spoke up and the on duty manager refunded the 12 something, but she was very upset I asked for my money back. The quality of employees have gone drastically...Olive Garden needs to train their people better!!! Plus, the whole atmosphere is different from previous GM's. Worst Olive Garden we have ever been to. Appetizer: sampler was burnt and calamari was room temp Salad had old lettuce with brown spots on it. Yuk!! Finally to our entrees: five cheese ziti was missing most of its sauce and the noodles were crusty. Chicken pram was burnt and tasted like it had been fried in. 20 year old burnt oil. The on to our service. CJ was our server, he was very nice, but had no clue what he was doing. Forgot almost everything we asked for and brought our refill of our salad after we were finished with our entrees. Updated review for 2019, yes I took away 1 Star, again for service! Came here with 4 colleagues in February 2019 for dinner before our movie. We were told to sit in the bar area since it would be quick and service would be fine -ok, let's go to the bar...so after 15" of no service, I flagged down a server, she was busy and flustered but took our drinks order...ok first she cards me, and only me...I'm not the youngest nor oldest of the group, but probably the only Asian in Tupelo, ok no prob, make ME feel uncomfortable!! We were left with a wine bottle on the table and told take a glass - ok cool! we told her we're trying to get to our movie in an hr and a half, she said no prob. 45 minutes late only half of our group got their order, 3 of us were still waiting fir even our soup or salad. Why have you just let yourself go??? We drove an hour to have lunch at Olive Garden, when we arrived we had to wait to be seated by one lady hollering "just a minute" and the hostess outside the front door hollering "just a minute" during a time when very few customers were there. We were finally sat with menus, looking over the menu for lunch items that we had seen advertised on TV the night before, that were no where on the menu. During the wait I sat looking around at how filthy it appeared, the seats were ripped with holes, fabric on the back were stained, tables dirty with sticky residue, and floors dirty. When the waitress finally came, I ask about the lunch items, she told me that ended 4 minutes ago..... keep In mind the time it took for them to seat us and finally get to us, much longer than 4 minutes....waitress went into the back to get manager to speak to us, after 5 minutes one never came out, our group decided to leave.... service is extremely slow, restaurant is in need of a thorough cleaning and repairs. All Olive Gardens are not the same, however this one ranks in the top three of the many that I have visited. My husband and I visit Tupelo frequently on business and dining at this location is always the highlight of our stay. The General Manager and Manager have stopped by our table on several occasions just to make sure we were pleased with our experience there. The staff is always friendly and professional, and the drinks and food are wonderful. We have never been disappointed with anything at the Tupelo Olive Garden and always look forward to another visit. read more

We arrived at this Olive Garden on a Saturday at approximately 1:15 PM. The service was incredibly slow, the server took our order and never came back to refill our drinks. When the food finally came, two people were missing their orders, and one of them was the Gnocchi soup! The other one was mozzarella sticks. We appreciated the server's honesty that someone walked off with it as another table's appetizer. However the meal did not arrive until everyone else was finished eating already. Very disappointing service. They did comp the mozzarella sticks which was nice, but it was just very lacking and slow. We didn't get out of there until 2:55 PM. I tried contacting them via email as the response to this post requested. Haven't heard a single thing from them. It makes me think that they replied to make them look like they're "trying". Everyone's food in my party was overcooked. The pastas were rock hard, and the cheese dip was a solid block of cheese. I TRIED. I tried to give this Olive Garden another chance. We waited 30 mins to be seated (which wasn't the problem). This was after being told a 10-15 minute wait for 3 people. After asking a manager to finally seat us we noticed a small child coming in and out of the kitchen area. I watched the little girl wipe her nose and face and proceed to go back into the kitchen DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC!!! No mask!!! Being dragged around by a employee there. Also two nurses were seated at a table and were moved and then the table was never cleaned again. Our waiter was extremely frustrated and proceeded to take it out on us while we asked politely for refills and for salad. This actually scared me, bothered us, and made our experience very uncomfortable. Please stay safe. Choose another option, please. (Turns out the small child was dropped off by the babysitter and the child is the managers daughter.) STAY SAFE. It's not worth your life. I was offered a gift card but we just don't want one. Additionally I was walking toward my family and heard the waitress complaining about us switching tables. We sat down and they kept talking shit as we watched them. Been to this OG many times over the past 8 or so years. Birthdays, graduations, date nights, etc. When I come here I expect good food and service, for 85% of the time, I am not disappointed. Talk about teamwork, last time about two months ago we ended up being seated in the "Family Room" one early evening before the dinner crowd came. Due to miscommunication with front-end staff, there was no waiter for that room. One of the resident bartenders pitched in and came and served us like nothing happened. We were not asked to move or anything. He was very good. About two years ago service and food was not the best of normal. Now, however, things seem to be back to where they used to be when I first started eating there, so that is why I put the 85% overall. read more

Thus far this has been the best Olive Garden I've been to. If you like Olive Garden, you'll probably like this place. The waitstaff is, for the most part, really friendly and attentive. On the rare occasion we've had an issue- usually with overcooked steak or pasta- it's been resolved quickly and the manager came by to make sure everything was OK, which I appreciated. If you're going, go for dinner. The lunch service at this particular location is a little slower than you'd expect, since they don't do much lunch time business. read more

Better wait before you eat at this OG. We were there last night and the service was absolute crap. We were skipped twice on seating times and when I went to ask the attendant if they had accidentally called our name to seat us she gave me a snarky attitude like I had no business being there. The waitress took a century to get our drink orders and it gets better... she forgot to put our food orders in at the kitchen! Sat there for 30 mins thinking we had food when another co-worker told us we'd been forgotten about. I watched this particular server of ours tend to a table of 5 while our table of 3 and 2 other tables were flat out ignored. We got to stare at food trays abandoned by other employees who don't want to clean up. Manager wanted to give us 25% off our ticket. Fine. But this house needs to be cleaned ASAP read more
