The decision in eating here was capricious in the basis of my hunger and predictability of good choices. Arrival was at 12 noon on a Sunday yet were were seated pronto and had great service. Today I decided on the 6 ounce sirloin with a side of fettuccine, however thisvwill be the last time I order steak at an Olive Garden. Firstly, I'd requested it be cooked medium, however it was well done. Also it was grisly which was both unexpected and most disappointing. The fettuccine and salad was delicious, and our waitress ( didn't catch her name) was most attendtive and friendly. We were served rather quickly despite the apparent near full restaurant. I like the option of paying using the kiosk at each table. The restaurant is clean and there was more than ample parking. Perhaps the overcooked and grisly steak was a one off, but it was a turnoff for me, and in the future I'll not order steak here. Overall, a 4 star experience! read more

Ever craving some comfort Italian food? Cause I was! Olive Garden always brings the authenticity, comfort and tastiness to the meal. With the never ending pasta bowl promotion going on, I knew I had to go. I started with salad and breadsticks, which is always a highlight. The salad is fresh and refreshing and the breadsticks are perfect. The rigatoni, with the five cheese marinara was absolutely perfection. The sauce was incredible. And, can I just say that the service was top tier. Our waiter was attentive and professional, and made for a great experience. We happened to be in the area after coming from a near by farm. We entered the restaurant and was greeted by the staff. My son and his children had to use the bathroom. The bathrooms were clean. After that we had a short wait for a table. We were a party of 5. Myself, my son and my 3 grandchildren. Of course the children wanted pizza kids meals with fries and apple juice. I can't remember what my son ordered. I had the tour of Italy. The kids enjoyed the warm bread sticks as we waited for our food. Service was great and everything was delicious. No one left hungry. It's been ages since I've been to an Olive Garden and I'm happy we came here after an event at the local library. We were seated after about a five minute wait and were immediately greeted by our server, who was very kind and checked on us often. The food is fantastic and I always get the classic Chicken Parmigiana, which was flavorful. The salad was delicious, but was a little disappointed with the breadsticks (which I learned later on it was due to a new supplier). Other than that, our visit and experience was great! read more

I love Italian food almost as much as I love Mexican so going to the Olive Garden is usually a treat. We were sat in a clean, decent area and our server was cordial. I had an Italian Margarita with an extra shot of something (OMG this drink was the bomb dot com) and mt husband had his usual blue drink (a Blue Hawaiian). I could literally come here just for the salad and breadsticks but in addition to that, I had cheese ravioli. I usually have left overs but I ate it all including some extra salad. ‍ I can't remember what my hysband had but he must have enjoyed it because neither one of us left with a bag. Happy to see Olive Garden branching out with a new improved menu. With a few new items. Have always loved the comfortable vibe of this restaurant From a small girlfriends gathering to a family of 5 dinner with children, the complimentary salad and breadsticks keeps everyone from really going hungry at all while waiting for orders. Our party tried multiple items and all had plenty left over for another meal at home! Maybe consider sharing if on a budget! I do miss the mini desserts in the shot glasses tho. Great visit for dine in w Hubby. We were greeted by a kind young lady at the hostess podium who gave us an option to sit in the bar area at bar or in a booth. We went w booth. We were instantly greeted by our table person Racquel. She was so awesome. Pleasant, respectable, and consistent. We ordered the endless soup and salad. We also ordered Chicken Alfredo and Shrimp Scampi. Everything was so good. Great portion size, plated well and well seasoned. This was our 1st visit to this location, and it did not disappoint. Immediately when we walked in, the restaurant had a funky odor. It reminded me of carpet that needs cleaned badly. I thought maybe it was the mixture of food and spices but I really don't believe that was it. The salad barely had any dressing. The breadsticks seemed dry or stale. I hadn't been in an Olive Garden for a few years - just happened to be driving thru the area around 5pm & decided to swing in and eat here. Even though it was a bit ahead of prime time on a Wednesday, the restaurant was probably 25-30% full when we arrived & people poured in for the length of the visit. No problem with seating obviously & our server was quick to take orders & check back. I ordered an old favorite - Chicken Marsala - which is prepared differently these days, but still quite good. For many people when the Olive Garden Chain first opened it was their first exposure to Italian Food especially in a place that no matter which Olive Garden you were in you could expect the same menu, prices and value. For the longest time the VALUE that was talked about the most often was the bottomless salad and the crispy garlic Bread it filled you up so much that most people ended up taking at least half of their entrées home. Then about 8 years ago the company started to refine their menus, and to put as more emphasis on Entrée preparation. Better recipes better techniques, in short they raised their Bar. The Owings Mills location has always been consistently good, not four star great but definitely 3 star good. The Server we had yesterday was attentive but forgetful. The food was top notch. And we enjoyed everything that we all ordered. In short the Salad and Bread Sticks are still being served and are still as good as ever. However the main courses have definitely been taken up a notch. read more

First time I've been back at the Olive Garden after so many years and I can't recommend enough their amazing and friendly service. From the moment we came inside, both hosts welcomed us with warm smiles and were able to find us a table without the unnecessary wait. From there on, Sam, our server, took care of us. She recommended the best choices as we were undecided on what to pick. She is friendly, very attentive and professional. Food was good and we even reserved a bit of room for dessert. The servers were very attentive to the table that ordered a lot of food that was next to us and ignored us. Eating at this restaurant was a joke. We took my daughter here for her birthday. Waitress took forever to take our order. When we sat down the table next to us was complaining to waitress because their order wasn't right. Waitress and bus person became defensive and rude. We ordered appitizers which took forever. Waited forever for our meal while both talbes next to us complained because their meals came immediately after they received their appitizers. Bus girl was so rude to patrons next to us when they complained about their service. They asked for a manager and when she spoke to them she was condescending and walked away rolling her eyes. Their excuse was that 'people called out and they had so many pick up orders'. Excuse was a joke considering the tables next to us received their meals too early while our food took forever and came out fried from sitting out. When our food finally came you could tell it had been sitting under the heat lamps and order of pasta looked fry. I asked for bread and more salad three times. When bread finally came it was stale. I went to the bathroom and everyone working was standing around the check in desk doing nothing. Food was disgusting. I will never eat at this Olive Garden again. Would have had better service and a better meal at the McDonalds next door. Ruined my daughter's birthday dinner. AND we had told the waitress it was her birthday and she could have cared less. Lunch menu has nothing, food tasteless and bland, got charged a ton for a, what looks like a toddler bowl of noodles, with a small dash of sauce. So, for about 45 cents of food, I paid $8! I really like this location! The wait staff here are always helpful, upbeat and very accommodating!! This restaurant chain lures me in with their delicious and COMPLIMENTARY bread sticks and house salad! I always order either the stuffed chicken Marsala or the Shrimp & Crab Tortelli Romana or a promoted dish that is offered for a limit of time. On this occasion (5/8/11) I ordered the Shrimp and Crab Tortelli Romana which was rather lackluster. This particular dish was bland and lacked the rich flavorful sauce I'm used to. I was not too impressed this time around which was a first. My mom ordered the stuffed chicken Marsala which was pretty good but looked a bit overcooked. If I could give it 0 stars I would. The current Maryland Covid-19 restrictions is set to 10 people to a table. This Olive Garden wouldn't seat 6 adults and a child together at the same table; they told us we had to sit separately. All because the 7 of us do not live in the same household together. Meanwhile, the 7 of us have been to the local iHop, Rock Salt, Maryland Mallet, and Basta Pasta together and have NOT run into this issue. No one has ever even asked us this question before . The manager was a complete jerk about it. Needless to say we left and gave Maryland Mallet our business. This place needs to re-educate themselves about the current "laws and restrictions" they're trying to enforce if they want to keep business going. Totally embarrassed for them. read more

I have been doing mostly takeout orders from this restaurant for years. The food tastes good for the most part but today and most orders the lettuce in the salads are old and spoiled. I don't know why they keep serving clearly old and expired salads. The takeout food is priced high, not worth it if Olive Garden can't serve fresh food. read more

Well this wasn't our worst visit to OG the worst was we never got waited on or acknowledged so this was the second worst. We were seated at a squeaky table, then waited 15 minutes (might have been longer didn't start timing right away) for our less than charming server to offer drinks and menus. We then waited 15 more minutes for her to take our order. No wine sample was offered. We thought maybe they stopped that. Order taken but menus were not. Left them on the table till the salad came. Menus still left on the table. Stir up the dressing/salad and hubs picks out pieces of rotten lettuce. Big white lettuce chunks with black on them (I should have taken pics) looked like they used scraps. Bread sticks were hard and obviously microwave reheated. Then comes the entrees my lasagna was pretty good. Can't complain about it. But hubs Salmon was real mushy and supposed to be grilled which normally one side is crispy. No crisp all mush. Another reheat? Ms Charm brings the bill, no sorry for the wait, no mints, no how was your meal? Did ask if we wanted coffee or desert. read more

I just used this location to cater my grandson's baptism party. It was so great & stress free. They delivered all the food at the time we set it up for & included tongs, chafing dishes, sterno, disposable flatware& plates. The food was so good. We got Classico lasagna, three cheese ziti, and a make your own pasta bar (and of course the salad and breadsticks) Everyone loved it, no one went hungry & I got to enjoy the party. Helpful tip: they do not scrimp on the breadsticks so you don't need to add extras...or at least I didn't as I have plenty in my freezer. Highly recommend. THE food is different, it seems more fresh and elegant looking when delivered to the table. My server was a very up beat friendly lady who made enough side conversation for me to appreciate it but not enough to be over baring! She recommended a few things to help with my decision because most of the dishes i ate 5 years ago are gone lol. I had the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo and my friends had the pasta bowl promotion which they seemed to enjoy. I ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms, Calamari, Zuppa Tuscana, Steak Gorgonzola, Alfredo for the bread and I wanted Salad! I know, I was definitely thinking with my eyes rather than my stomach! I had alot of left overs, which i was very thankful for later that evening when i got home and had some wine ;) The food was absolutely delicious, I loved that they changed the recipe for the calamari, the mushrooms were large and stuffed appropriately with the right amount of cheese melted on top! The steak Alfredo was my favorite thing in the world ! the dish honestly stands by itself! The soup is my favorite and the Alfredo was such a nice accent to the bread sticks with the salad! The manager Jason, stopped by and made sure we were having a wonderful time, which we were and we relayed how happy we were with the evening that we had! We have been here several times when visiting our family from out of state. Tonight the service was exceptionally poor. We were told to wait for a "few" minutes while our table was set up and it ended up being about 20 minutes. There were not any other customers waiting and several came in and were seated before our party. In that time a manager reprimanded a hostess in front of us which was pretty awkward. One of the other hostesses told a customer, "I cannot seat you yet because I'll get in trouble if I leave this hostess station." Once we were taken to our table our waitress was attentive and quickly got some breadsticks for us. We ordered drinks and our meals. The food service was prompt and everyone seemed pleased with their meals. My son had the kids' pizza and it tasted like it had been frozen a long time. My husband enjoyed the braised beef and tortellini. I had the herb salmon with garlic broccoli and it was pretty good. The coffee was also good. While we were eating it was apparent that some new staff were being trained and taught about the dining room. I found it strange that this would be done in such a conspicuous way during the main dinner hour. Went with a friend this weekend and had Sarahbeth as our waitress. She was honestly kind of rude and dismissive. It seemed like she was treating us differently because we were on the younger side (21). She treated the guests next to us much better and attended to them well but barely spoke to us. She also brought out soup with way to much cheese already on it instead of asking if we wanted some at the table like usual. She also didn't bring a pasta refill for the endless pasta for around 15-20 minutes so she definitely forgot about it. Overall she created a very off putting experience. No one really needs a review for Olive Garden, we all know what to expect, but this was probably the best experience I've had at any of them. We pulled up on a Sunday evening despite seeing a full parking lot and people waiting in the breezeway but to our surprise they seated us right away. Our server, Jade, was amazing and as sweet as can be. Of the three things that I judge a restaurant on: food quality, server attentiveness and server timing, this was a flawless visit. I've never had a bad experience at this Olive Garden ever. I've ordered both take out and I've eaten in and been happy with both. They are exceptionally good with take out adding in all extra napkins, silverware, or any other extras necessary. When dining in the service is wonderful and pleasant. They refill drinks very promptly, most of the time with out being asked, and bring extra breadsticks without complaint. I've never had a mess up in my meal or had to wait very long to eat.
