First of all, Yelp is my go-to when it comes to just about anything, but I never ever am compelled to take the time to post a review. After my first visit at Olive Organic I am so thrilled about my experience that I want to write about it all over the place. Over the years I have become a bit of a spray tan connoisseur, and after moving to the Montclair area a few months ago, I've been looking for my new spot to get sprayed. I finally found that in Olive. First of all, the space is gorgeous. Amazing ambiance, extremely comfortable, and super clean. The tan itself is awesome - so even, smells great, perfect color. The price is great the quality of the tan and the service. More often than not, even the best and most expensive sprays I've had still give me dark wrists and elbows, but at Olive, the clean your hands for you to avoid even a little discoloration. They also lightly dust you with powder so you don't have that oily sticky feeling when putting your clothes on. I am so thrilled about this place and my tan lasted for over a week. I LOVE Olive and go for their airbrushed spray tan anytime I have an event and I wish I could go more often! The color is not "orangey" at all but rather a natural, sunkissed tan that makes your skin absolutely glow. I have ridiculously sensitive skin that breaks out just about anytime I put a new product on it. However, the organic products they use actually improve my skin which of course I LOVE! Last but not least, the owner and tanning gals (hey Monika and Agnes!) are lovely, put you at ease and are very efficient. I HIGHLY recommend it. Olive is the best place to get a spray tan in NJ!! The staff is wonderful, the spray tan experience is as comfortable as it could possibly get, and the price is very reasonable. I am not a fan of regular tanning (don't want to harm my skin) so I found that spray tans work the best for me. I have tried spray tans at some of the big tanning salon branches and was not super satisfied with the results (streaks, smell, sticky-ness, etc.) A friend told me about Olive and after my first visit I will not go anywhere else. I decided to go to Olive to get spray tanned for my August wedding. Being very fair skinned, i rarely go in the sun and definitely have plenty of sunscreen on hand. The goal was to not be dark or 'orange' in my gown. Staff at Olive did amazing job !!! My color was naturally sunkissed and absolutely right. No issues with streaking or fading. I even received compliments that i look slimmer and more toned :) Staff at Olive explained the whole process, the do's and dont's for caring for my tan. I went to Olive Organic right before prom. I was very nervous I would be orange and it would stain my clothes. When I got there they assured me that it would be very natural looking and it would not stain my clothing. Sure enough, they were right. I was tan enough for people to complement me, but I was not an oompa-loompa by any means. Very natural and light. It also didn't have a bad smell to it, which is something I despised about spray tanning before this experience. The spray tan is amazing - no streaking, not sticky (it actually smells really good), the tan lasts for a week at least. Monika is the best and really knows what she is doing. In addition to the perfect spray tan, Olive offers professional air-brushed makeup as well. Agnes does the most beautiful work - I had my makeup done for a big party a few months ago and my friends actually asked me if I had "had work done." I'm not kidding. The look was red-carpet. Just left Olive Tan spa and I have to say you if you have not tried Organic Tanning you need to! Viola and Monika are true artists in this unique field. They're much like chemists because they find the perfect tone for your skin type. You will walk away with a gorgeous glow that will last for two weeks! Book it before your vacation or a big event. And it makes a great gift! What I love most is their warm friendly personalities which makes the experience ever more enjoyable. Also, their products are natural and it smells great! I wanted to get a spray tan a few weeks before a wedding this past summer just in case I wasn't happy about the results since most people end up with orange-tinged skin. Monika was so sweet and so professional and totally put me at ease. My first spray tanning experience was a success and I even got complimented on my "perfume" by several people. When I told them it was the spray tan they were totally surprised because typically there's a chemical-like smell with regular spray tans. Very professional, very nice and over all great experience. The girls are very helpful, they answer all your questions and explain how to take care of it. They work with your schedule and do everything to make you happy. (One time they agreed to make my appointment last minute at 10:30pm - don't tell them I told you ;) ) My tan looks very nice every time and it stays long too :) It is even on the whole body and it doesn't look orange... I can't express how much I love Olive Organic! The Staff is beyond amazing and make you feel so comfortable. I've gone to several other spray tanning spots and this is my favorite by far. No smell. My sisters and I decided to get spray tans for the first time for my sister's wedding. I was nervous because I have a very fair complexion, however I received so many compliments on how natural my tan looked! I got the spray tan on Wednesday, and the tan looked perfect by Saturday which was the day of the wedding. It was an amazing experience. I tried this olive "branch" as well as the one in New York and must say, this company gives you the best tan you can get! I have tried other spray tans and always cringe at the smell and slightly orange tint. At Olive, you never need to worry about that! It is AMAZING! I needed a tan quick because I didnt want to look like a ghost for a wedding i was in. The spray tan looked so natural and I didnt have to burn my skin to get it. The only con was it takes a little while to dry and you shouldnt shower for a while after the application. But I would go to get another one.
