Gyro Dinner
Erin H.

You order at the counter, get a number, and they'll bring food to your table when it's ready. They have a large assortment of options on the menu, so it definitely has more of a restaurant vibe vs counter service. It also took ~20 min to get the food. They offer online ordering though, if you want to do pickup! Inside is clean and the staff were friendly (you only really engage when you order at the counter). For 3 adults, we ordered: - 2 Olive Tree dinners - 1 Gyro dinner - 2 bottled beers - 1 side of fries - lentil soup starter (included as an option with the dinner) - salad (included as an option with the dinner) Really good lamb, beef, and chicken, but I didn't love the sausage flavor/texture. The grain used is rice pilaf which made the texture more fluffy and soft than regular rice (I prefer more firm rice texture personally). The pita was also more firm since its whole grain. I feel like the style of the items here is quite different than other Greek places I've been, so that makes it an overall lower rating for me. Nothing particularly "bad" with the food though. Tzatziki was amazing - I would have that by the gallons. Total was $94 including tip! I think it was steep for the portions, which is another main reason I rate this lower.

Wanted something fresh, fast and casual. Three for three. This place never disappoints always fresh and very delicious. Portions are large and made to order. Limited indoor seating and the staff is is very courteous as you walk up and place your order. Protip: this place gets busy at lunch so get there early or be patient. Worth the wait. Moving to a stand-alone store up the road soon. Hope they do not lose their identity and maintain their good value.

#2 Souvlaki Lunch - Lamb
Jennifer S.

Impromptu lunch in Viera. It was busy, which I take as a good sign. I ordered the #2 souvlaki lunch special with lamb. The portion was more than I anticipated for $12.50. The salad had a good combination of lettuce and Greek additives (olives, cucumbers, peppers, onions, tomato and feta) and the dressing had great flavor, as a Greek salad should. Advice from my first time here, I would make the sandwich and then separate it because I found my Greek dressing from the salad leaked into the bread by the time I started to eat it. I ordered garlic and tzatziki sauce because I like both, and both had great flavor. Overall solid lunch spot. Seating is pretty limited so I took my food outside at the tables.

If you're craving bold Mediterranean flavors with a satisfying, savory punch, the Beef & Lamb Gyro at The Olive Tree Greek Grill in Viera absolutely delivers. This fast-casual Greek spot has built a loyal following--and after one bite of their gyro, it's easy to see why. The gyro itself is generously packed with tender, well-seasoned slices of beef and lamb. The meat is rich, juicy, and has that ideal crispy edge that comes from a proper sear on the vertical rotisserie. It's tucked inside a warm, pillowy pita that's just the right thickness--not too doughy, but sturdy enough to hold everything together. Toppings are fresh and thoughtfully portioned: cool shredded lettuce, ripe tomato, crisp onions, and a creamy, garlicky tzatziki sauce that ties everything together. The balance of flavors is spot-on--savory, tangy, and refreshing with every bite. For an extra kick, ask for a drizzle of their house hot sauce. Portion-wise, it's filling without being overwhelming--perfect for lunch or a casual dinner. You can pair it with their seasoned fries or a side Greek salad for a complete meal that feels both indulgent and wholesome. Bottom line: The Olive Tree's Beef & Lamb Gyro is a standout--authentic, flavorful, and crafted with care. Whether you're a Greek food regular or trying it for the first time, this gyro is a must-try in Viera.

The new location was quietly opened on 11/19/2025 - thank you Olive Tree Greek Grill for finally giving the city a restaurant that has enough seats where many can sit and enjoy the fresh air, in just about every configuration one could need. It was inspired by the experience of coming upon and through the components of a Greek village and eventually making it into the big city of Athens. You can definitely feel that, but especially in the evening. The quality of the food and the space in which it is prepared and served in, are now commensurate. If you liked their family recipes from the original Old Olive Tree sit-down restaurant in Long Island, which were tweaked only slightly for the fast-casual The Avenue Viera location in Florida - then you should love how their new executive chef - Chef Andres, and his team, with their new equipment, have refined them with the family even more. Old favorites, and new dishes coming soon. The Beer & Wine of their original location has expanded into a full bar with robust beer & wine options. And...when the fine-dining restaurant opens upstairs, that will be next level - as the chef consultant from Greece has a 2* Michelin pedigree and Chef Andres (who also has a DC Michelin-level pedigree) studied with him in Athens last year to develop the new menu. I've been blessed to work on projects with Michelin chefs, we are very lucky to have that level of talent in Brevard again. The mixologist Tori has been concocting some amazing creations and sourcing brilliant spirits from Greece to build them. I can see drinks on the lawn being a popular thing there. It has its own 'entrance' so will be perfect for private events as well. And there will be the Greek bakaliko Market too - with beautiful products sourced from the familial homeland. Viera is lucky to have this and other new venues. For years we have come from Beachside south, and I know people that make the drive from south of Palm Bay and Vero Beach. To the north, from Titusville. Prices have always been fair for the quality of ingredients and the portions. I have never walked away hungry, ever. I personally am not bothered by the card processing fees if I choose to use a card. These card processing fees are exorbitant to the merchant, and although they too do not like them, they are to be expected nowadays to be passed on. Some of the POS systems embed them in your bill and others line-item them. This new system is line-iteming them, so I don't fault the restaurant for that. I am willing to pay a little extra for an outside seat and a pleasant space, as opposed to being claustrophobic. And the service? The staff has been increased greatly with additional front-of-house staff being added into the mix. We are always greeted by name when we go, and if it's someone we don't know, we are greeted with a smile. You can tell that the staff love their new environs. Robots speaking Greek with English translations replaced runners - and the runners were then retrained as attendants in the dining room, counter and expo. Total upgrade for everyone. It's quite pleasant having a dining attendant as opposed to a server. They never made you feel rushed but always made sure discreetly that you had what you needed. Very interesting way to reinvent fast-casual! If you don't enjoy the place, even just nursing a frappe and eating your way through layers of baklava, or you're enjoying one of Tori's cocktails with some delicious mezethes - you are really missing out! Kali Orexi!

Gyro over Greek salad

Good food, good service. The ambiance is most and rather sterile. The gate deserves a nicer place. Sadly they list two star because they charge you to use your credit card and point to the very fine print on the cash register rather than alert you when you are ordering. This is very unethical behavior. First, credit cards area cost of doing business, second you should notify your patrons if you respect them. They lost 2 stars for this!

The steak sandwich was spectacular. You can also buy sauces like tzikitiki sauce to put on your protein later at home!

We were craving Greek food and this seem to be a pretty popular spot so we finally gave it a try. Despite the appearance it's actually quick service similar to Panera. You order your food at the counter and then they bring it to your table. The prices are pretty high but we really enjoyed the food and the service was friendly. I think the portions are very wholesome too. I did notice they had good lunch deals that seemed a little more reasonable. I got the gyro and a Greek salad. My husband got the Gyro Dinner which is lamb and rice pilaf with a side. We loved everything. The lamb was very good. I look forward to coming back for lunch.

Greek Salad - Small

We had lunch at Olive Tree in the past month, and it's one of our favorite "fast" Greek food places to eat at!! I believe that my husband had a gyro and souvlaki that day. I had the "soup and salad" lunch deal. There is a choice of the lemon chicken soup or the Greek lentil soup and the Greek salad. I went with the Greek lentil soup, it is so yummy! The Greek salad is also a favorite of mine! Service was great, they gave us a number at the counter when we ordered and then they brought the food out to us when it was ready. It can get busy in there, especially during lunch time and more so on the weekends. There is seating indoors at tables and outdoors at tables with umbrellas over them.

Food and service are both great. Could use more space at their location, but that is the hall mark of success. A line out the door. Bravo!

We ordered the large mixed kebab platter and it came with salad, hummus, Baba ghanoush, garlic paste, warm pitas and olives. Terrific appetizer and a fantastic kebab platter that the 2 of us could not finish - truly enough food for 4! We took all our leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day. We also had some excellent baklava (with pistachio our favorite) and took one home. And then they gave us some tasty rice pudding too! We were beyond stuffed! We are definitely going again even if it is 50 minutes from home. Lastly, the price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. A+ experience! Highly recommended if you're looking for something different and special. Update: went for second time and it was less impressive than the first. We ordered the same platter and the Kibbeh appetizer. The Kibbeh was dry and not very flavorful unfortunately. Also the platter was not served in the same impressive way, smaller portion, and less WOW. We may give it a third try but this moved from 5 Stars to 4 on the second outing. Hope the 3rd visit is better or it may be our last as it's 50 minutes from our home.

We each got a glass of wine, and Toni basically gave us a whole tasting of Lebanese wines. She is extremely knowledgeable about wine in general. The food was next level. I have never had middle eastern food but this was a great introduction. The only minus is that this place is NOT kid friendly, and you absolutely must call ahead and get a reservation. Chef Toni was actively turning people away who did not have a reservation because she simply cannot fit more guests into her restaurant. There are no kids menus, and I don't even think there are high chairs. Toni did try to accommodate as best as she could- she made our entrees shareable for our toddler and she made sure he had extra pita bread!
