I have been here twice. When I drive up to the window to place my order I am warmly greeted. The first time I ate here I ordered the gyro platter which comes with a gyro, spicy fries, and salad. The gyro tasted jusy ok, leans a bit toward the bland side. Their house made white sauce is very bland, almost tastes like straight yogurt and needs some spice badly. The meat too lacks much flavor. The spicy fries, not spicy at all and could find zero hint of spiciness. The salad is a total afterthought, just some veggies with what tastes like Italian dressing. Today I'm back and ordered a beef kabob plate. Again I was warmly greeted. The beef was tender but bland, zero spice or even zero hint of salt, pepper, anything. The rice too was very bland and the sauce too bland again. The bread was not warm but the salad was a bit better this time but still weak. Each time I come back to visit, Sinbad's is my first food stop. I always order the chicken kabob platte. (with extra sauce and pickles!) The yellow sauce is the best kept secret on the space coast. I have extensive experience with Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food and I love it. I think it's amazing. It took them about five minutes to make it and the cost was $8.55 on the menu. It's 799+ tax, of course, it comes wrapped very nicely and it's in a little brown paper bag so I felt like the presentation fit the cost. I have included photos it's got fresh lettuce that is Chris and very nice and crunchy. The tomatoes were also very fresh. It has onions and a sauce that is nice, but not very powerful or overly flavorful, but it has that Mediterranean taste to it. It does have onions, but the onions were not super powerful either the Gyro meat was about maybe three decent slices. I wouldn't say that it was a heavy serving but it was appropriate for a 799 sandwich I think that for what you're paying you're getting a good value it's filling it's it's very healthy for for the type of meal that it is they do have french fries available for $2.99, and they have other things that may be of interest like lentil soup, or a platter, which comes with rice, and a side of either hummus or tabouli. I think that this place the test of time it's not someplace that you like absolutely want to go out of your way to run over here and go eat but if you're in the mood for Mediterranean food definitely, I would stop, there's nowhere to sit outside except a little covered area with some eclectic seating, but not a lot of seating and no real shade from rain or heavy elements on a hot day would be very warm to sit out there but to grab and go it's pretty good. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when the owner/manager of this establishment reached out to me on Yelp. She told me that I would have a better experience if I called ahead to place my order. So being a lover of Greek food and all for second chances, I did as she instructed me. I called ahead on my order for my lunch and picked it up in about 10 minutes. I must say, the food really was delicious, it tasted pretty authentic, very fresh. Seasoned and dressed the way I like it! I ordered the gyro platter, the Greek salad and dressing was delicious, the gyro was creamy and filling, the French fries were cooked just right, and unique in their flavor. I'm posting a couple months after writing; draft is original from notes Disappointing. Very. After the great reviews I asked hubby to get some gyros and stuffed vine leaves, a baklava, a salad. I haven't had a gyro this awful in forever!! The strips of 'meat' were the packaged ones you can buy in stores, not the lovely sizzling lamb strips freshly sliced off the kebab rotisserie. I mean really insipid, tasteless; if this is what customers think real middle eastern/greek food tastes like... I pity their taste buds. Tzaziki was ok, as in bought in bulk so pretty much like anywhere else - unless you have made some yourself or tasted homemade, then you'll understand. Vine leaves stuffed with rice were, again, ok.. bulk bought, likely canned but hey ,I can eat several of them nevertheless. The Baklava was what got Sinbad's a third star: a bit toooo sweet for me, and I've eaten tons of it in Greece, Turkey, Egypt and made it at home. I hope it was a very bad day. A little strange for a drive through take out place, food is cooked to order, so it takes awhile, but food is great.

This is a little drive through/takeout place that also has some outside picnic table type seating. We had Falafel as an appetizer, which tasted as it should, little fried yummy balls of chickpea flour mixed with spices. For dinner, I had the chicken kabab platter ($12.99), which had a piece of pita (store bought type), a salad, and rice topped with tender pieces of chicken and grilled onions topped with a sauce. This was delicious. The chicken for sure had some rosemary flavor, and the sauce that was drizzled over the top of the dish added a little extra something. The salad was also really good. It had lettuce, cucumber, red cabbage, shredded marinated carrot, and a really nice greek/Italian clear type dressing. It was delicious. My partner had the Gyro platter ($11.99), which came with a Gyro sandwich, fries and a salad. I don't eat red meat so I didn't try the Gyro and cannot report on the flavor, but he said it was tasty. The fries were pretty standard frozen medium fat fries, but were fine, and he also said that he really liked the salad and the Falafel. When we lived in Framingham, MA, there was a takeout place we used to go to weekly called Turkish Medeterrian Food, and that place was crazy cravable good. This place was not as good as that one, but the food has a similar essence, so I wonder if the type of food is traditional Turkish? Anyway, we both thought the food here was great and for sure worthy of being in our regular rotation, and considering that there are only about 5 places that hold that esteemed title in the county, you can be sure that this place has quality food. I specifically liked the attention to detail I felt was there with these platters. The salad looked like a work of art, and the drizzled sauce was just the perfect amount, and I also loved the subtle rosemary flavor and the fresh parsley on the chicken. It's details like this that separate the places that care about their quality from the mediocre places we try once and never go back to. Glad we finally tried Sinbad's, we're fans! Oh, also the couple that served us were gracious, friendly and patient as I asked about a few of the menu items.
