Stopped in here after I got stranded after returning a U-Haul across the street. Staff was very courteous. Environment is nice and casual. Felt weird eating alone and being that guy... Food was really good. Not too fancy, but not messy or gross looking (looking at you Dennys). I got the chicken fried steak and eggs with a biscuit and hashbrowns. Hashbrowns weren't as crispy as I like, but most places make them that way. Biscuit was fluffy and perfect. Eggs were done right over easy. Steak was crispy with just the right amount of gravy. Server was very nice and continues to bring me coffee even after I paid. Most diners don't. Overall, it was a good experience and if I hadn't moved out of this neighborhood, I'd probably be back soon. read more

All I got was a bagel and they burned it, so I sent it back and it was STILL a little burned. And it was $4 for just a bagel with a bit of prepackaged cream cheese! Lana ordered French toast with bacon; she reported it was good overall and that the syrup was not just high fructose corn syrup dyed brown because it had some flavor. Roger ordered the Philly turkey sandwich, a cup of tea, and a salad with balsamic vinegar dressing. The salad was excellent. However, although the sandwich was stuffed with what should have been moist and flavorful ingredients, it was dry and flavorless. How dry and flavorless? Dunking it in catsup improved it markedly, but it still wasn't more than "meh." read more

Service has always been great, but then we've been there so much that they recognize us. The food has deteriorated quite a bit. Biscuits and gravy have a sweet (not a good sweet) taste to them instead of sausage'y. The eggs are overcooked and the pancakes are dry. Hot chocolate was even bad! This was my first visit and I was very impressed. The food was really reasonably priced, fresh and delicious and everything was on point with timing. Candace was my server and she was really friendly. Not only with me, but I saw her engaging with the other patrons and even though she shared with me that she was new, she fit right in and was welcoming and a true sweetheart. There are some places where you feel like the people working there are nice, but that they are just showing you their work "mask". I didn't get that from her, I felt like she just was in the moment and genuinely was happy with her work day, not fake at all. I had been searching all over for a place that can make a good cinnamon roll and finally FOUND IT!! OMG, it was to die for. Also, I don't drink, but noticed that they have $10 mimosas that are BOTTOMLESS!! Why didn't I know about this back when I used to drink? I'll definitely be back with some girlfriends who do, soon. This area itself hasn't always been the most desirable, but due to places like this, it is starting to classy up. I would highly recommend this place. Found this place on YELP in area we were traveling. Needed a quick take away breakfast for 5 adults. This place was AWESOME! I phoned in the order, after reviewing their menu online, the gal on the line was super friendly and helpful. We arrived 15 min later and most of the order was already boxed up ready to go. The restaurant is very clean and bright. Looked like a lovely place we would come back to. Wait staff friendly and happy. The breakfast burritos are DELICIOUS! And HUGE! Fresh pico de gallo and sour cream in little cups. And they even included plastic ware, napkins, ketchup and s&p in individual little sacks. Couldn't have asked for more! I like the atmosphere of this cafe. Its clean with an open floor plan and The waitresses are friendly. The food is mediocre and you can tell the biscuits are from a bag instead of handmade.. I personally don't care for but not a big deal. I ordered the northwest scrabble with hashbrowns and my husband ordered the biscuits and gravy it was ok but nothing to brag about.. I'll try something else next time I stop I here. My Conclusion would be it's a nice little neighborhood cafe that I would come back to. We ended up splitting a cinnamon roll and the California Omelette and both were absolutely delectable! We have been to Olivers twice and really enjoyed the food and service. The wait staff are very nice, efficient and helpful. We have four small children and it is a fun Saturday adventure to walk to Olivers for breakfast. We have all been happy with our meals, which are cooked quickly and with skill. We are fine with Olivers not taking huge risks in the kitchen. We love the menu and staff just the way they are. read more
