I don't know what happened to our beloved Oliver's Cafe... We started going there 10 years ago, and the food was fantastic, and the service was even better. The food is still decent, but the service is 100% horrible now. Not sure if this place changed owners or what the reason is. Went there a few months ago and walked out because the wait staff literally ignored us for 10min after we sat down. We gave it one more shot last week for lunch, and the service still sucked. Our waitress slammed down a couple of waters and said,"You good with water?" and then scurried away. After she gave us our food, that was the last we heard from her. While we were eating, she sat at the bar eating her lunch with her back to us. If you've ever been in the restaurant biz that's a no-no. Do not eat in front of the customers. So she ignored us the entire time we ate because she was focused on her own meal. There was one other table that she ignored as well. Two tables for lunch, mind you, is not a good sign. Smh. Really a shame. It's a cute cafe and good location with off-street parking. To the owner: fire your wait staff. They either hate their job or have no experience waiting tables. Your sales will suffer endlessly and eventually lead to your demise. Awful, awful service. Better off going to IHOP down the road. read more

Oliver's is a nice spot for breakfast/brunch. Sadly they no longer have their bottomless mimosas anymore but their mimosas are big and tasty. The food was very good, the biscuits and gravy I got wasn't the best I have ever had, but above average. The gravy was very thick and super creamy, which is appreciated. My SO got a BLT lettuce wrap which was very fresh and flavorful. The bacon was crispy, and the fries on the side were all around good. The poached eggs with my order were done exactly how I wanted them which isn't always the case. The staff is very friendly and helpful for picking what to get. I did notice when it was busy they seemed a bit over loaded, but it got better as the lunch rush ended. read more

Came in for brunch today at 1130 am. One person working the front. She was pretty busy but it appeared everyone was being served. I ordered a fajita scramble and the waitress suggested avocado to be added. I took her suggestion and ordered it. She came back with the meal and it didn't have avocado on top. I asked if it was mixed in, and she replied 'you have to order it'. I replied 'I did order it. You suggested that I should'. She then said 'oh that's right' and looked blankly. I told her not to worry about it, and she then said it's better with it. I again, refused. She was appearing overwhelmed. She never came back to check on me. Not once. Tucked away on a busy little street this place is awesome! I believe this is a new restaurant based off the building and never seeing it before whilst driving by frequently. I've been here a few times and everything I get is amazing and priced very cheap. The last time I went I got the breakfast burrito. It was huge and very inexpensive. It came with black beans. They needed a little seasoning but all in all quite yummy. My girlfriend got the French dip sandwich and she loved it. It too was portioned very well. This place was nearby and the reviews seemed decent so we dropped in. Semi-busy we waited a really long time to have a server see us - I believe this is a big flaw in the seat-yourself system. Once she took our orders though the service was better - the food was good but the home fries seemed a bit plain for my taste. Literally just potatoes thrown in a fryer. Not even much salt on them. There's been a change of ownership and the quality has gone downhill drastically. They've replaced pretty much all of the staff, including the talented lead cook and the awesome waitstaff. I love Oliver's Cafe so much that I used to order food 2-3 times a month, if not more when I got a specific craving. Their food is so good and always consistent in quality even though I get it delivered, which is honestly impressive. Lol. I sadly moved out of delivery range but I was in the neighborhood today, and everything is just as delicious as I remembered!! Not only that, but I had a specific craving for chocolate chip pancakes and didn't see an option on the menu. So I just put it in the notes on the Grubhub order, and they were kind enough to add them! It might seem like a small thing but this totally made my whole day, thanks y'all!! I got the stuffed French toast and was pleasantly full. My partner couldn't get through her entire "delicious with everything I could ask for" veggie skillet. Or server, Summer, reminded me of how good service should be. She was fast, friendly, good with my daughter, and kept track of us without ever seeming to hover or bother. My friend Bob and I stopped in here after reading all the good reviews. I had the Oliver Omelet with pepper jack cheese and it was delish! The hashbrowns were perfect too. The jam for the English muffin did not have much flavor so that's the only thing I would change up. Bob's eggs were also great as was the sausage however he said the pancakes were a but chewy. It's a nice and clean restaurant and the best part is our waitress Sarah was so sweet and kind! She made us feel welcome and we will definitely be back!! The biscuit was soft the way I like 'em, it didn't crumble with each bite. The pastry case was half empty at 9:30 a.m. The server, the daughter of the owner, was very friendly. Like many such places they lacked in the condiment selection: bland Cholula and Tabasco were the only hot sauces choices. Customer service was great with very friendly staff, but our table of 5 waited a bit longer than expected for our food to come out - probably around 25 mins from ordering to serving. Unlimited mimosa is definitely a big plus, so if you're looking for that this will be the spot for you. Parking is behind the restaurant with plenty of space. Convenient location with parking lot at the back of the strip mall building, the place itself was cozy and never really too busy. There isn't a whole lot to choose from on their menu, which works to my advantage! It is not overwhelming and I can always pick what I want, whether it is sweet or savory. My favorite is the Oliver's Omelette and their french toasts. Yum. Prices are also reasonable for a good portion. If you are a mimosa lover, this is the right place for you, since they offer unlimited mimosa. They have coffee and tea selection as you would have expected in any cafes.
