Olivetta is a restaurant I loved dining at and will absolutely be back to. One of the most beautiful restaurants in the city for sure, it's being added to my collection. However, no photos allowed and I respected the rules of the restaurant. So let me have my words do the photographic build up for Olivetta. We were headed to valet ($20) and somehow lucked into getting one of the very few parking spots right out front, score. We were warmly greeted and walked to our reservation immediately, walking by a rowdy gen x party at the bar adorned in cowboy hats & wanna-be influencers at nearly every table. It's so pretty inside, each room a little different but equally awe inspiring. I loved the vibe and my seat was perfectly placed in front of a giant mirror. My avoidant self did not have to view my reflection, but rather it was like a TV showing me all the hustle and bustle of the restaurant as diners shuffled back and forth to their seats. Watching the crowd was fun. Classy, range of ages, range of demographics but everyone is LA cool. You can be who you want here and Olivetta exemplifies that under their beautiful exterior. We had a perfect server by the way, very friendly and gave just the right level of service, not too much, not too little, just what I like, like I'm Goldilocks of Yelp LA Dining. We started with the squash blossoms, maybe regrettably so, as we had a hard time choosing an app. I'll try something else next time as they underwhelmed me. A nice crisp on the flowers but the stems were a bit much and I just found this dish to be aiight. Now the pastas I absolutely loved. We tried two and just adored them both. I was actually surprised at how good the portions were for such a classy, cute place. The Creste di Gallo was a sensation for the eyes and mouth, with a fun tableside creation of this dish. There's a generous shaving of cheese and delectable bone marrow in the dish, really great flavor and consistency. The Agnolotti was equally, if not even more, creamy and delicious. I was so full but could not stop eating this rich sauce over sage cream sauce and dried sage leaves. The roasted carrots were a nice accompaniment with our meal over a puffed feta bed sprinkled generously with pistachio and dill. Despite being full, we were still able to get through about half of the Chocolate Olive Oil Cake which was fluffy and soft with a chocolate ganache to pour over the top. I wouldn't have minded if this came with gelato or ice cream, just a tad but it was still a solid dessert. I do wish they had some non-alcoholic items like hot tea or coffee or espresso to go with dessert, they only had alcoholic offerings. Prior to beginning dinner, we did order some drinks. They had 3 Mocktails on their menu and were out of 1, so my friend and I ordered the only 2 mocktails ($16 a pop) options on offer. We found them okay - just fine, but wished they were excellent or more NA options were available & more care was intended for those of us who are Cali sober. Other than drinks though, I absolutely loved Olivetta. I'll absolutely be back to try more on the menu and I'm sitting here craving the Agnolotti, omggggggg it was so bomb. Came here for a work dinner. For the cliff notes: big portions (but too expensive) and vibey. If I had a dollar for every person I saw there taking a photo I swear. On to the food! Sourdough bread - large, tasty. Nice big chunks and perfect to start the night. Shoestring fries - LOTS OF FRIES. Really great for a large table. Well seasoned. Crispy squash blossom - very refreshing and light. Paccheri - now this is where they lose me. This was okay. This entree wasn't particularly large but it should be large and super tasty for 34 dollars. Brown sugar budino - this was the best thing of the night. Light, airy, flavorful. This is the thing to get! For me everything was okay and not wonderful enough to warrant the price. But it is rather a chic place to visit. Service took long on everything which was kinda odd. It's about expectations ............. a bit pricey (expect that - it's in West Hollywood), it has a sense of "airs" and formality (when you look at my pics and others, this isn't intended to be fast food or a fav dive bar), the food preparation is very good (which takes time and talent), they charged 20% tip (disclosed in small print, only once), and adults only after 8:30 pm. This was a special occasion for us and so our expectations were set properly. As expected the food and service were very good. Of course, see my food and interior pics. Being in West Hollywood, we took ride share - no traffic or parking issues for me tonight. As you can see from my inside pics, it's an incredibly soft and welcoming environment. While these pics showed a well-lit dining area, the lights are toned down as the evening progresses and the environment changes to a more intimate experience. We started our dining experience about 6pm to a near empty restaurant and it started to fill up about 8 pm - FYI. Yet, the environment was still quiet and peaceful. As simple as it is, the grilled sourdough toast (back to expectations, this alone is $15) was great. There is something about the char on thick sourdough toast, see pic, and the rich butter that contrasts with the crunch that is so good. BUT, this only compliments the Baked Prawns, see pic. The shrimp, heads on, were nicely sized and not overly cooked. The chili was mild which let the garlic, basil flavors shine through. We shared several dishes including their Radiatore, see pic. This is Lamb Bolognese which was incredibly good. The lamb was rich but not fatty. The noodles were cooked al dente. As you can see in my pic, the sauce clings to the noodles which were also quite savory and flavorful. The Grilled Broccolini, see my pic, was still tender and lightly seasoned. The vinaigrette wasn't too spicy or hot, and so the vegetable's flavor came through and complimented the other dishes. As you can see from my pic, the 14 oz Pork Chop had THE sear on it. I find pork chops hard to grill with a sear on the outside and the right pinkness on the inside. This was perhaps a bit overdone; you can still see a hint of pink inside this large chop. It was mildly spiced, but the au jus was incredible. In fact, we asked for a serving spoon so that we could get every last drop of it. We finished with 2 desserts: Brown Sugar Budino and Lemon Tart. The Budino was as creamy as is looks, see my pic. While not too sweet, it was quite rich. Even still the earthiness of the brown sugar was allowed to shine through. Likewise, the Lemon tart, see pic, had a bit of tang, light on the lemon flavor and was a bit sweet. This crust was very light and flaky - which paired exceptionally well with the whipped cream (see pic of its presentation and density). read more

We joined a friend for dinner on Sunday night. The entrance greeting and service was wonderful from beginning to end. Let me throw in that this is not a place to dine for those on a tight budget. Our modest dinners and drinks averaged just under &200 per person. The restaurant added a 20% service charge (which was very fair considering the above and beyond service), but then taxed the service charge (which was actually the gratuity. Okay, back to our excellent dinner. I started with the Cesar salad. It was super large but so flavorful I easily finished it all. My guests loved their Stone Fruit & Tomato, the famous Sourdough Bread and the Shaved Fennel Salad. Our large order of oysters was fair as the oysters were pretty small, but flavorful and very well presented. For entrees I had the Baked Salmon which was perfectly prepared and cooked to perfection and very well presented. My guests ordered the Half Lobster Bucatini and the Pork Chop. Their plates looked delicious and nothing was left over. Cost to value was a bit high but I hope to return for another special occasion. The reason why we gave one star so the management can improved in the future with training the employees to conducting themselves to the highest standards and professionalism towards the patrons. Californian upscale dining in WeHo. Made a reservation for 6:30pm online beforehand but we had to be seated a bit late since traffic is atrocious. Metered street parking and valet parking available. Indoor dining only. Credit cards accepted. We were a bit apprehensive about how the dining experience would be given the other negative reviews lambasting the service, but everyone was so pleasant. Our waiter checked in on us often and we always had a full glass of water. We had the squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta (3) and baked prawns (4) to split as apps. I got the raviolo from their truffle menu; it was the first time I had such a giant stuffed pasta and this is also what made me realize ravioli is the plural form of the word. My sister got the bone marrow pasta which they cut and topped right before serving, and my dad got the lobster bucatini. The bucatini was fresh and cooked al dente. For dessert, we ended with the chocolate ball. I was unfortunate to have missed the melting of the ball since I was in the restroom but the dessert itself was tasty. read more

Fantastic food! Took my friend here for his birthday dinner and I'm so glad i did! I love the decor and ambiance. We ordered several dishes to share. Boujis Bread Burrata Salad Rigatoni Grilled Branzino Roasted Honeynut Squash Everything was delicious. The bread is super addicting and worth ordering, even if it's a bit heavy. It's almost like it was baked in butter and then baked in more butter. So good! Burrata was soft and went well with the tomatoes. Perfect Bronzino and Squash. I'll admit that the Rigatoni wasn't my favorite. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a bit more moist, but I felt it was mostly dry. Service was fast and friendly. I came here with some buddies of mine from the undergrad years. My buddy suggested this place, so we came here on a Friday evening. This place has valet parking, which was nice as I did not have to hassle finding a spot along the street. I walked in here, and I was pleased with the ambiance. I joined my buddies, and we ordered drinks while we decided on what to order. I decided to go with my favorite... filet mignon. The waiter gave me an option of two different sauces, of which I chose peppercorn. On the side, I ordered baby sweet potatoes. To drink, I had an espresso martini. The filet mignon was delicious, cooked to perfection, and the peppercorn added a kick of flavor. The baby sweet potatoes were warm, soft, and came with their own sauce that complemented them perfectly. The espresso martini gave me a nice buzz, and also a kick of energy. The waiter was attentive, consistently checking in on us, and making sure we were taken cared of. The staff here was amazing, they exuded an aura of positivity. Omg this was an amazing dine in experience! First of all the ambiance, decoration, wallpaper it was just so cute and moody. The service was great, friendly and professional. Starters; oysters, fries, tuna tartare, squash blossoms Main; grilled branzino Dessert; tiramisu and chocolate budino Drinks; wine, mezcal cucumber and at the end of the meal we got shots for the table, don't remember what's it, but it was so bomb, with a perfect sweetness and a citrus touch. I must say everything was great, and my personal favorite was the grilled branzino, it was so juicy and delicious. I believe they add glaze, which adds a great kick. The second favorite was the tuna tartare, yum! So good. And the chocolate budino was such a great way to finish a perfect dinner. Finally had the chance to check out Olivetta, the high end restaurant in West Hollywood! First off: parking is street parking and it is HARD to find especially for dinner time since parking only allows you 2 hours before 8pm or 4 hours after 8pm... Olivetta does have paid valet but it's $25-30 per vehicle. Service: pretty amazing. Our server was very attentive and when we told them we were celebrating a birthday, they gave us our table a delicious shot for each person! Food: delicious, but small quantity and expensive - but that's expected if you decide to eat here. I paid almost $30 for my pasta dish which was the sweet corn agnolotti and it came out smaller than I anticipated so I'm glad I ate beforehand! Otherwise the quality was great. We all got the sourdough bread to share. I was skeptical at first about this since I wasn't sure how good bread could be, and this bread was $15. I must say it was quite fluffy and delicious so I did enjoy that. Would I say it's the best food I've ever had? No. But it's definitely a great experience and I'm glad I had a chance to experience it! Ambiance: amazing, the vibes were all there. Wow. What a neighborhood gem. It's got a fun, cute, vibe. Not too big or loud. I think it was an old house they turned into a restaurant? If not. - that's definitely the vibe. The service is exceptional, our server really took great care of us and was a lot of fun. She was funny, attentive. I believe her name was Adela. The food was fantastic. Sourdough loaf - 2/5. The only dish of the night that was a miss simply because it ate very greasy. Almost felt deep fried? Kale salad - 4/5. Had a nice spice to it. Blown away. Lamb Radiatore - 5/5. Sauce and pasta were perfect. There is nothing I can do or say to improve this dish. Grilled branzino - 4/5. Just wish the skin was crispy. Aside from that, flavor was great and the flesh was perfectly cooked. Broccolini - 5/5. Perfectly cooked, and again like the kale salad, a hint of spice/heat that was pleasant. Brown sugar budino - 3/5. Ate a little too sweet. I wish they used more of the cocoa nibs and sea salt to balance the dish out - especially since the portion was so large. Amazing!! From start to finish our experience here was absolute perfection. My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day with a dinner reservation and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Returned for dinner during Oscars weekend and I was SO SAD to hear they no longer serve their Vegan Double Double burger or the salmon entrée. However, we did still have an amazing dining experience, and the food/drinks were excellent. I tried their reposado + passion fruit cocktail, which was light and refreshing. I later finished the meal with an espresso martini. I like mine vodka-based and it was the best I've ever had. To eat, I started with the yellowtail crudo and then had the chopped kale salad. Both were fresh and so tasty. The others in my party had branzino and the baked prawns. If you're coming with a group, I definitely recommend getting several items to share. All the food was cooked to perfection. Olivetta is one of those rare spots where the atmosphere/vibes, drinks, AND the food are all on point. Our server Stefan was a delight the whole evening. Not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical after reading all the reviews regarding service and potential mistreatment to POC. As an Asian couple, it'd be a lie if I said I wasn't worried at all. However, from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, we couldn't have asked for better hospitality from them! We were dining in for our anniversary celebration. At check in, they noticed this on the resy and greeted us with complimentary champagne. Everyone was so nice already and even let us choose which table we wanted to sit at (during prime dinner time). After our meal, we got ANOTHER complimentary shot to celebrate the occasion, called the coconut kamikaze shot. This blew my mind & is now my new favorite concoction. And when we got our dessert, they put a cute lit candle on the plate which made our dinner so so special. We ordered: -espresso martini (best espresso martini in LA!) 10/10 -truffle pasta (special) 8/10 was very flavorful but only a hint of truffle flavor -bone marrow pasta (the BEST) 10/10 this was SO good, the texture of the pasta, the sauce, the bone marrow. Came for their Valentine's day set menu priced at $150 pp, and the food does not live up to the price AT ALL. I made the reservation three weeks ago and I expected to be sat inside the dining room, instead we were sitting in another area which was way colder than I had anticipated. The food was awful, the carpaccio was nothing memorable. The dover sole had bones in it and was not seasoned properly and hard to chew through. The panna cotta tasted like literal cough syrup, my date and I couldn't even finish it. I'm giving 2 stars because the service was decent. I might come back to try their a la carte menu, but this meal left me disappointed and ripped off. read more

We booked Olivetta for an early Valentine's Day dinner, based on its popularity and reputation. I would not classify it as fine dining, more so a really good Italian restaurant that specializes in drinks, and a more upscale and lively vibe versus a traditional fine dining restaurant like Madeo up on W Sunset. I would say it's a great place to bring a date or dinner with friends or family, and not so much a work dinner location. The inside is beautifully done and has some great colors. There are tapestries all along the walls with lots of plants dividing the dining areas and a very muted red color that really adds to the ambience. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, it will be valet or metered street parking. You have to check in with security street side first and then they let you walk up the ramp where you will next check in with the hostess. They have a large bar area as well as a lot of different seating options. Our table was extremely small, however, and the tables were very close together so this is not the sort of place that you'll be able to have a private or sensitive conversation. Our server was very polite, although took quite some time to take our order initially but overall, I think he did a great job. The music is quite loud here so if someone has hearing issues they will really struggle to hear others at their table. They have a fairly large menu with a lot of great options on it. We started off with a Squash Blossoms, which were absolutely fantastic. I have ordered these all over town and this is definitely one of the better versions. I was a bit disappointed that it only comes with three which is a hard number to share so I wish the portion size would've been a bit larger for this. Next we followed with the Caesar Salad and it was great. Again, not a very large sized portion, but still tasty flavorwise. For my entrée, I chose the Creste Di Gallo because having the bone marrow scooped in right before you eat is an unbeatable addition to me. It was a true treat. I love bone marrow anything so this was great pasta. The bone marrow itself added a great flavor and a crunch to the meal, which I truly loved. We also ordered the special for the day, which was the Dungeness Crab Tagliatelle. It was absolutely fantastic and had a ton of crab on it. The sauce was truly what made the dish and the pasta was cooked perfectly. For dessert we topped off the meal with the Brown Sugar Budino and I definitely would recommend it. It was sweet and salty and actually a great sized portion. it was a great end of the meal. Overall, I would say Olivetta is a great date spot. It's very lively and very noisy but in a fun way. They play the music quite loud so it has a very Friday night kind of feel to it. I would recommend and will try it again sometime in the near future. read more

Also had an espresso martini that I don't think I was a fan of because of the way I drink coffee, but this was not the restaurant's fault. Had other drinks that I did enjoy from them. See and be scene, the West Hollywood scene, that is. Now, what does that mean? The area was hopping, even on a Sunday night. Much of the festivity was spilling out onto the streets as we circled Olivetta looking for parking (I have a new car and didn't want to trust its cream interior to valets). We luckily found free parking about four blocks away on Melrose and enjoyed the walk past all the interesting venues available, if that is your thing. My thing? Great, interesting food in a spotless, hopefully gorgeous, environment with perfect smells and bells (music, upbeat if poss). Olivetta did a good job on all of this. Why not great, why four stars instead of five? First of all, I hate parking in that area even with all the great peop-peeping. I was happy to walk, but would prefer to have more convenient parking options. It took almost 30 minutes to find a good spot. Secondly, while the greeter at the door was friendly and welcoming, the reception inside was a bit chilly. They walk you in while telling you that, for the privilege of hundreds of dollars, you can only stay for two hours (presumably your table is booked following?) and no photography allowed. Well, that was annoying. I see others have violated that proscription, so you will have to look at the pictures on this Yelp site to see what I am describing. I might have infracted myself but the wait staff - seemingly endless numbers of them - were parked with us in full view, so, no go. I took out my phone to check email and they seemed poised to pounce. Sheesh! And, why, for pete's sake? Celebs dining there don't want to be exposed. Okey doke, no problem. We were the most dressed up people there -- oh, not that there wasn't skin abounding, there was that -- but as for true elegant glamour, I saw no one else attempting it except this NYer who knows how to match the tariff with the threads, iykwim. Still, I see their point. A producer with a starlet were on one side of us and a table of three 20-something girls flanked our other side, speaking all night of their six-figure jewelry purchases. Hmmm. The food was good, nothing stellar. Italian in a very go-west-young-man kind of way. It was barely Mediterranean. I ordered the olives with Parmesan and got a tiny bowl with maybe a dozen small black ones (with pits) and four large green. The cheese were five smallish chunks, good, but not exceptional. One of the people that came with me had the King Salmon and a gigantic nest of very skinny fries. The fries were accompanied by two dips -- one was a garlic/horseradish/mustard aioli that was very tasty. The other was clearly bottled catsup. Really? I ordered the cashew pesto rigatoni and the bowl that came was large and appetizing. I could only eat about a third of it. We ordered the fire roasted Brussel sprouts for the table. They were a bit over-singed, but light and tasty and the portion was large. Two of us ordered the Double Double vegan burger and pronounced it excellent. It came with no sides at all but was quite large, stacked high with greens, vegan cheese, sauces and tomato. Nicely done. We split two desserts: the brown sugar pudding topped with good creme fraiche and the blackberry upside down cake, infused with liqueur and sided with vanilla ice cream. It was beautiful in addition to being delicious. The portions were each large enough for two to share. We had excellent Arnold Palmers and I topped my evening off with a lovely cafe latte. The server, Camilla, was polite and smiling. The minute we dropped even a crumb on the table, one or another person was there to sweep it into a little table duster. At one point, one of our diners left the table to make a phone call and while they were gone, Camilla folded and re-rolled their napkin. It was pretty inside, not stunning. Very loud atmosphere from diners talking and silverware interacting with glassware. There was music in the background, not live. By the way, they rigorously enforce vaccination rules. We had to show our cards and our ID, both, but the greeter was warmly apologetic about that. That at least mitigated the fact that very few people showed masks and the tables were only about three feet apart. The place was packed the whole time we were there. We stepped back out onto the scene on Melrose just about 90 minutes after being seated, per our reservation. We didn't have to wait at all and I liked our location right as you entered the main room, on a bench sporting an elegant back-pillow for each seat. Btw, Olivetta accepts cash but does not give change. All in all, we enjoyed the place and talked about it all the way back, which only took about 35 minutes, happily. Would I return? Only if friends want to try it together. For the many Benjamins, I want to try another place along these lines, first. I do think the prices were a bit high for the return on food and vibe. read more

Been meaning to try this place and finally made it in last night. I made a reservation on Resy the week before so it was an easy process. Parking is pretty difficult in the area so we valeted right in front which is $20. Everyone was very nice and accommodating including the greeter at the door so our experience started off great! We were celebrating a birthday and were each given a glass of champagne at the host stand which was so nice! They first sat us at a table right by the bar which was busy so I asked to move and we were immediately accommodated to a better table. Our server was great and gave us good recommendations. You have to order all dishes at once and they space them out accordingly which worked out fine for us. The bread is phenomenal - a must try! The salad was tasty and the pasta was great. Would love to come back and try more dishes. The drinks were just ok but they also have a good wine list. The aesthetic of this place is beautiful and it's definitely a hot spot! read more

The vibe here is excellent as is the service. Everyone was very pleased with how it started as the oysters were fresh, lightly briny and small. Fries were skinny and crispy and are always something I want when splurging on a night out. The tequila and carrots cocktail was perfect and you can pretend you are healthy by consuming fresh juice with your booze. We tried two of the pasta dishes, getting one as gluten free and it was quite good! The pork dish was also excellent. Our one mistake was the Dover sole and it was likely a personal preference issue due to its very rich butter sauce. I think if you like that kind of sauce it would be fine. Next time I will get the recommended branzino. read more

If you want that upscale, celebrity sighting, yummy food, top notch service, DJ in the backdrop, ambient, cool, hip restaurant with all the bells and whistles of a dope LA spot, then Olivetta is the place to be! First, because I don't want to end this on a bad note, I'll introduce the cons, hence, the 4 star rating: It took the host 30-40 mins to seat us as my party of 4 was uncomfortably jammed tight and standing near the bar. Also, the main chicken entree I ordered was forgettable, subpar actually, considering that everything else tasted hella delish. Other than that, once we were seated, we had a magical night. Now for the pros: We had a couple of bottles of red wine and were seated right by the DJ booth. The DJ was playing sultry beats from the likes of Kaytranada and my party was definitely feeling the grooves. Drenched in olive oil and (I think) tons of butter is their bread- order it now! It tastes like warm heaven, and the lobster pasta that we all shared was to die for. The lobster pasta is meant for two to four people so if you're thinking of ordering it just for yourself - don't, unless you normally put it down like a professional linebacker. I'll be back to visit Miss Olivetta, but probably not often considering its prices, but definitely for a dine-in celebration, or to take a peek at the coolest cats in LA. read more

Contrary to popular belief I have never done cocaine in my whole entire life so when I had the opportunity to do a bump of caviar off of my hand I took it! Server scooped it in my hand and i licked it off. YummmmThe caviar melted in my mouth like heaven! We ordered a bunch of other stuff but the caviar bump definitely will bring me back. read more

Dark ambience with great music is always a great start for a date night. We came on a Saturday at 8pm and the place was packed! The food and service were also up to par. We were told to order all at once as they would course us out. The sourdough bread was so warm and fresh to start our drinks with. We got the fennel salad next, which was simple, light and refreshing followed by the squash blossoms. We especially liked the Branzino and mountain of shoestring french fries that came last. Save room for dessert though, as the golden apple tart with ice cream was incredible!!! There is also valet in the front which helps with how hectic parking can get on that busy street. read more
