This Disney Vacation Club Property was recommended by a friend. We had reservations and were taken to our table pretty early. Once seated we waited about eight minutes before our server came to our table. I ordered their famous Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes, gravy, and seasonal vegetables. The gravy was put over the chicken so the skin lost its crispiness. The green beans were the only enjoyable thing on the plate and the biscuit was defiantly frozen. My wife order the Crab Cake Benedict. The crab cake was put on a biscuit and became a soggy mess. One egg was under, the second one was over. Lesson learned. read more

I dream about the Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken. It's so yummy! My partner dreams about the Prime rib. The servers are super nice. Clean restaurant and quick service. The bread is a great starter and I didn't know what they do with the butter but it's tasty. If you have to wait for your table there is also a gift shop next door to browse in while you're waiting. The Olivia's Banana Foster is also delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. I feel like it's a hidden gem on Disney property and well worth a visit. On this night, we went to Olde Key West and dined at Olivia's Cafe. The ambiance was great and made you feel like you were in Key West. Our server was great and took great care of us. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. Close to great but not quite there. We started with a bread that was extremely tasty. My oldest daughter ordered the bacon jam cheeseburger and asked to substitute the burger with a veggie burger. Not a problem. However, even though it was emphasised that she wanted the bacon jam, it was left off the burger by the kitchen but when we told the server, she quickly rectified the situation. My daughter enjoyed her burger. My younger daughter went for the shrimp and really liked it. My wife went with the Mahi Mahi and was very happy with the results. She even liked the brussel sprouts which she usually doesn't like but the way the prepared it, she ate it all up. I went with the buttermilk chicken. It was fried to perfection. This is a great stop for breakfast or brunch. Today I got the mahi mahi fish tacos for brunch and they were delicious. It said tropical slaw on them which I wasn't sure if it meant there'd be like mango and other yucky shizz in there but it wasn't. Just regular slaw. The chips were soggy, I couldn't eat those. My Crab Cake Eggs Benedict were not very good. They substituted my breakfast potatoes with potato salad without my consent. I ate the tiny crab cakes and eggs and left the rock hard biscuit and potato salad. Honestly, the meal was just kind of a disaster. My partner did not finish his very small portion of Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken, and his breakfast potatoes were also substituted with potato salad without notice. It was my birthday, and I was disappointed with the brunch because Disney is usually on pointe. Perhaps we ordered the wrong food items, but I'd rather go to Hash House A Go Go or some other restaurant that will deliver big delicious meals. No, I did not fight with them about the food. No, I did not ask for remakes. I did not want to have to do any of that on my birthday. We just paid, tipped 20% and went about the rest of our day, which was excellent. read more

Always such a delicious choice when we decide to come to Olivia's Cafe at Disney's Old Key West resort. Dinner service opens at 5pm and is usually not too busy at that time. I recommend making a reservation using the My Disney Experience app, and that allows you to check-in close to your reservation time and saves time when you go up to the desk. The Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken is their best selling dish and there is a reason for that, it's great! Also this is one of the few Disney eateries that has Pibb Xtra, for those wanting something other than Coke. read more

I just ate the BEST fried chicken I've ever had in my entire life! Legit. No joke! I just know magic is used to make it! It's Disney chicken for pete's sake! I ordered the buttermilk chicken which came with the creamiest most flavorful, mashed potatoes. It came with a biscuit, crisp fresh green beans, and gravy. I don't care for gravy in general so I requested mine on the side. Rolls are served ahead of the entrees and come with a sweet honey butter which makes all the difference. In addition I can't say enough about our server/cast member, Lily. She totally deserves cast member recognition! She provided impeccable service the entire time. She was so friendly and professional! All the folks at old key west and olivias were just awesome! And of course they're conscientious about safety. Temperature is taken before entry. This is the first restaurant that individually takes temperature. Mostly it's the park at entry. Masks and shields are worn by all staff. Social distancing is enforced and tables are sanitized. This is located at old key west resort. We went there for brunch. I loved the beach feel of the interior. My husband and I shared the conch fritters to start. They were warm and flavorful and I loved the sauces they came with. For our main we shared the chicken and waffles. It was so good. The chicken was moist and some of the best I have had! Southernmost Buttermilk Fried Chicken was fine. Nowhere near all the reviews I read here. Kinda dry. We're from Texas and have had great "Chicken Fried Chicken" for years. This didn't compare. Maybe just got a bad piece. Mike got the Mahi Mahi "Today's Catch" special. He claims it wasn't caught today, after all. But he likes Mahi and was brave enough to give it a try. I realize we're just getting past Covid and staff are just now coming back. But we used to have so much better experiences at Disney restaurants. I mostly blame the Disney Dining Plan. And Chapek. Food runner practically tossed the food on the table without announcing it and ran off. Menu: prices have crept up to the point that the value becomes questionable. Food was pretty good here but my biggest disappointment was that we arrived and their electricity in the kitchen stopped working so we were unable to order our food right away. We were there to celebrate a Father's day brunch and it actually ended up being the last Father's Day my husband had with hid dad. You can't help an electrical issue... what you can help is how you respond to it. Where was the Disney magic? Nothing while we waited... no food, drinks, etc. I saw some tables get some bread served to them to hold them over but they didn't offer any to us. Not even coffee? We just sat there. Hungry and thirsty. And then when things finally started working we were not offered a discount for the amount of time we had to wait. Just... disappointed. Coming to Olivia's is so cute, you really get the feel of being in Key West. They have lots of pictures on the walls and the service was phenomenal! Our servers name is Joy and she was a pleasure. My friend got the prime rib and I got the fresh catch of the day which was salmon (it's pictured). Normally that would be enough to fill you. But I had not eaten all day and we were at the theme parks so I also got a side of mashed potatoes. Highly recommend the mashed potatoes and gravy it's super delicious. They did put a lot of the white gravy on top of the mashed potatoes (a little too much). We were able to get a reservation that day which was helpful because we did not know where we wanted to eat. We also showed up early to our reservation (about 40 mins) and they were able to accommodate us. We didn't get dessert there because we did not like the options. There was a Keylime pie, chocolate tart, and one other one that was unmemorable. Instead we went next-door to the general store which is a gift shop for the hotel and they have desserts from the parks like the Mickey premium bar. there is a mini boardwalk by the pool area where we sat on our rocking chairs and enjoyed our ice cream. The restrooms were clean and located in between the restaurant and the gift shop. The restaurant was easy to find as after you go through security it's one of the first buildings just make a left at the stop sign. Security just makes you show a photo ID and asks for your reservation. One more thing I forgot to mention! The rolls and butter were super yummy! The butter tasted like it had a flavor to it possibly orange and the rolls were fresh and warm!! read more

Came to Olivia's Cafe for dinner at our first night at Disney. We made a reservation ahead of time but we still had to wait a bit for our table to be ready. Once seated we ordered drinks and then appetizers. I went with the Conch Fritters since I am am a huge fan and it's a Key West Style restaurant so it's pretty much a staple. Once our drinks were brought out to use we ordered out entrees. For a Key West Style restaurant they didn't have a lot of seafood options. They had a few but nothing that really screamed Key West. I asked about the Fish of the Day which was Salmon which isn't a type of fish you would expect since it isn't local to the Keys. For that reason i ended up ordering the Duval Street Burger cooked medium rare. Our appetizers came out in about 15-20 minutes. My Conch Fritters were pretty much just fritters. There was barely any conch in them. The Key Lime-Mustard was pretty good though. After another 25 minutes our entrees came out and were brought to our table by another service or possibly a bus boy. The shrimp that were on my burger were pretty sorry looking and pieces of the avocado were browning. Once I could into my burger it was also more cooked medium well then medium rare. Overall was not very impressed with the Duval Burger. On a positive note my fries were very tasty. Ashley's Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken on the other hand was very good. So just a heads up there. The Scallops were not bad either but nothing to ride home about. When I came down to everything we were pretty underwhelmed with our dinner as well as the service we experienced. We rarely saw our waitress and by the time I finally was able to get my drink refilled was about 5 minutes from us leaving. The restaurant didn't even seem to be that full. All and all I probably would not recommend Olivia's but if you do come stick with either the Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken or the Scallops. read more

Great breakfast and decent dinner. Waffles made in the shape of Mickey Mouse was certainly a hit and the eggs and sausage were delicious! The customer service was great at breakfast but lacking at night. The ambiance was something worth seeing and pretty cool. They could improve by communicating better that the menu had more than what's being advertised (I.e. I only knew about waffles because I inquired about it). The dinner service was sloooooowwwww and the food was decent. We had the ceasar salad, shrimp fritters (microwaved soggy but flavorful) and the southern chicken. This was our second visit to Olivia's but I never wrote a review so I am very happy to revisit it. My DD was working at the Old Key West Resort so we decided to catch dinner there and wait for her shift to end. OKW is a beautiful resort. Themed as a turn of the century resort town it's beachy in a stately way. We had a bit of a wait but it was a lovely evening so we sat outside and took in the festive Christmas decor. Soon enough we were paged and lead to a table. Funnily enough it was the same table we sat at during our previous visit. We began reminiscing about our lovely server Judy and there she was! She even remembered us. We placed our drink orders and she brought some "pineapple bread" with butter. I liked it better than mom but I haven't met many breads I didn't like. Our drinks were good with generous pours. Mom ordered salmon and I had their "famous" fried chicken breast. My chicken was moist and tasty. Mashed potatoes are usually not my favorite but these were very good. Mom enjoyed the nicely flavored salmon but wished she'd ordered extra Sprouts. Our server admitted she had tried making them at home but wasn't successful. We finished our meal by sharing the chocolate lave cake. Such a treat but I'm glad we shared as it was very rich. The ice cream was a good counter and was smooth and creamy. We really enjoyed our meal and the experience. We'll be asking for Judy on our next visit. We really wanted to try this place and we ordered our to-go order right before they closed for the night. Picked it up from a window to the side of the quick service outside. SOUTHERNMOST BUTTERMILK CHICKEN ($21). - was super delicious. Definitely a must-get. The chicken is crispy & the gravy is creamy and plentiful. The mashed potato wasnt lumpy and blended well with the whole dish. The green beans were crunchy and delicious too. I ate every last one. BANANA BREAD PUDDING (SUNDAE?) $7. We didn't realize until later on that we didn't get ice cream with our to-go order but it was still delicious. Yet another must-get from this place. It was warm and the sauces together with the pieces of banana were heavenly and a perfect end to our meal. What a cute, quaint restaurant at Old Key West resort. This restaurant is in the heart of the Hospitality House area. They have indoor and outdoor seating and you can't go wrong with either one. Our waitress, Judy was great. We were seated right away and was asked about any allergies, the soup and special of the day. We both ordered an Arnold Palmer which we should've specified that we wanted sweet tea and not unsweetened tea. Our mistake. It was still good either way. The meal starts out with a coconut pineapple bread. They smelled delicious. The bread was hot and not dry. I ordered the southern fried chicken and my husband ordered the special which was bone-In pork chop. My southern fried chicken came with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and a seasoned biscuit. The seasoning looked like old bay. The chicken was juicy and fried to perfection. Not too salty. The gravy was poured on top of the chicken but it never lost its crunch. The potatoes and green beans paired nicely with the chicken. I did not care for the biscuit as it was dry and just below average. My husband's pork chop came with a sweet potato purée w/ a gastrique, fried Brussel sprouts, and sweet potato crisps. The pork chop was grilled and cooked to perfection. The pork chop was juicy. The gastrique was balanced nicely and not too sweet. Sweet potatoes purée was creamy and smooth. The Brussel sprouts were crispy but the larger ones were a little hard to eat.
