I ordered the Original Family Meal, which is a whole grilled chicken with white rice and beans and 4 rolls.. The rice and beans are large generous portions The chicken is nicely seasoned. You don't need the sauces. The arrive was quick! Check out their grill from the picture!

Received my order today 7/7/25 from store 10131 @ 1780 Sheridan Street Hollywood, Florida. The chicken ceasar salad, came with no dressing. The boneless chicken breast was rediculously tiny - see picture. Not a good experience. At least my pulled pork sandwich was very good and nice size.

So...I have to admit I had not been to Pollo in over 5 years (which in the land of Fast Food is a whole era!) so I was holding Pollo to the standard I remembered. Let's start with the food: my Tropichop was flavorful as I remembered it. The sauces are still very good. My daughter ordered french fries which surprisingly were awful... maybe because they are not latin food? Service was nice but relatively slow considering they were not suer full. Overall appearance of the place was kind of run down however it fit the bill of a quick, flavorful meal (sans french fries of course!)

The best part of that whole meal was the cilantro garlic sauce I got with my fried yucca. The yucca was ok because we had delivery. The fries were horrible. The chicken meal was great

Such a bad experience, I had to leave a review. First, the establishment was messy. The dining area needed cleaning and the bathrooms were so nasty I decided to just hold-it until I returned to my room. Second, the service was incredibly slow. We waited almost 30 minutes for simple menu items; and not one employee had decent customer service skills. Also, the workers yelled out the order numbers in Spanish only. Don't assume everyone knows Spanish. Third, my salad was horribly prepared. I received a tiny drizzle of dressing (none on the side), so the salad was slightly dry. Also, I had a puddle of water at the bottom of my salad bowl. This location needs a lot of work and training. Such a disappointing meal.

Driving around Orlando over the years, I've seen a plethora of chain restaurants. One of them that stood out for me was Pollo Tropical. Pollo Tropical isn't in New York, and why not? I know we'd put our own spin on things, like melted mozzarella. Haha Walking in, you see to the right a huge open grill with split chickens being cooked. This is a good thing. The menu board has some interesting choices: 1/4 chicken combos, 1/2 chicken combos, steak combos and more importantly, wings. Man, I love wings. The wings being made at Pollo Tropical have a crispy skin and have a nice tropical marinade. Rock star wings! There is a sauce bar with different sauces: salsa, grilled pineapple rum, bbq as well guava bbq?? Soooooo good! I did the ebony/ivory choice of black beans and white rice along with roasted chicken. I could eat this meal every day of my life and be happy. My wife & I were very impressed with the chain. If you have never been to Pollo Tropical, I highly recommend visiting.

It is a Pollo tropical! No visit of ours to Florida is complete without a visit to the only Caribbean cuisine we ever eat at. *Laughs* Delicious Chicken? check Delicious Ribs? Check Inexpensive Flan? Check Excellent value of food? Check Drive thru option? Check Very good service by staff? Check I recommend!

I don't usually go out of my way for fast food. But today? I did. I made the trip. I committed…read more Because when it comes to Raising Cane's, I'm usually all in. That's what made this one sting a little. Let me set the stage. I pull up to the Kissimmee location already knowing what I'm getting. This place has one job. Chicken. Not a massive menu. Not a bunch of distractions. Just chicken, fries, toast, slaw. Simple. Focused. The kind of setup where you expect consistency every single time. And then the tray hit the table. The chicken? Bland. Like no one introduced it to seasoning. And somehow also soggy. You know that moment when you bite in expecting that crispy crunch and instead you get... soft confusion? Yeah. That. It honestly felt like the oil wasn't hot enough. Which is kind of a big deal when frying is your entire identity. Now here's where it gets even more frustrating. Cane's sauce is usually the safety net. It can cover a lot of sins. Underseasoned chicken? Fine. Dip it, save it, move on. But it cannot fix texture. It cannot create crunch out of thin air. And when the crisp isn't there, the whole thing falls flat. The fries didn't do much to help the situation. Underdone. Under salted. Just kind of there. Taking up space. Not offensive, just disappointing. Like they almost made it to the finish line and then decided to clock out early. And here's the part that really gets me. When you only do one thing, you have to nail it. Every time. No excuses. No off days. No close enough. This isn't a diner with a 10-page menu. This is chicken. How do you forget to make it crispy? Now, credit where it's due. The Texas toast? Still elite. Buttery, golden, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. The coleslaw? Fresh, crisp, actually refreshing. And the staff here? Friendly, efficient, and the food came out quick. No complaints on the service side at all. So now I'm sitting there having this internal debate. Because I know what Raising Cane's can be. And this wasn't it. somewhere in the middle of that meal it hit me that I went out of my way for this and got a version that felt like it cut corners That's a tough pill to swallow in an area like Kissimmee where you've got options everywhere you turn. Great food is not hard to find around here. Which makes subpar chicken stand out even more. Three stars. And that feels generous based on the sides and the service carrying the weight. But let's be clear. I'm usually a five star guy when it comes to Raising Cane's. This just wasn't that day. And when your whole brand is built on doing one thing right, you don't get a pass when that one thing misses.

After my visit I can confirm: that's exactly right. Let's start with the good, because some of it is genuinely great. The space is clean and well maintained, with staff actively clearing and resetting tables at an impressive pace. For a fast casual concept, the fact that food is brought directly to your table is a thoughtful touch that elevates the experience above its category. And then there are the fries. My stomach is practically rumbling typing this. Freshly fried, crispy and golden on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served piping hot. They're genuinely hard to compare to anything else -- unique enough to stand on their own. If Chicken Guy sold only fries, I'd be a loyal regular. The chicken, though -- the whole reason for the name -- left me with questions. Hot and fresh, absolutely. But the interior had a wateriness that crossed from "juicy" into something that actually diluted the flavor. Combined with a sweet and sour sauce so thin it refused to cling to the tenders, the whole thing fell a little flat. I found myself wondering whether the chicken had been moisture-injected, because it tasted more hydrated than flavorful. In the Orlando heat that might technically be a feature -- but a good tender should be able to stand on its own before the sauce ever enters the picture. I'd return -- the fries alone make it worth it. But I'd experiment with a different sauce and temper expectations on the chicken itself.

We waited quite a long time but everything was packaged correctly and conveniently. You get quite a lot of chicken but it's served in a large tray that can be stored in the fridge if you have leftovers. It definitely feeds 4 adults so if you are a family of 4 with young kids, this could easily feed you twice. Our side choices were green beans, white cheddar Mac n cheese, and seasoned french fries. The dessert choice was peach cobbler. This was a good meal - nothing fancy but the food tasted great. I would opt for the dinner in the future because of what a good deal it is.
