On our way up the coast, we stopped at Olivia's Café & Restaurant.  I ordered the chilaquiles, and my husband ordered the machaca.  Their corn tortillas are homemade and delicious!  Their salsa is also very good.  I loved my chilaquiles.  They are definitely in my top three all-time favorite chilaquiles.  It was a delicious breakfast!  Make sure to stop here if you are in the area!

The edges clearly show two tortillas being pressed together!!

Ok first of all what happened to servers hospitality?? We never once got asked if everything was ok and if we needed more drinks or not I had to myself get out of my chair and go ask them for what I needed. The false advertising on popular also is very disappointing specially when your craving an actual popusa this place does not sell popusas those are two tortillas forced to stay together might as well call them corn quesadillas with meat!! I have uploaded pictures on what the popusas look like where you can clearly see the tortillas being pressed on the sides for them to stay together to look like a popusa. Also how does this place expect their customers to tip if you don't show great service!!

Can't believe I have never tried this place before! Went here for dinner on a Saturday night, and was pleasantly surprised. It was empty when we arrived, and the staff were all in the back. Initially, it was hard to get their attention, but the service was very good after that. Very attentive and helpful! We were greeted with chips and salsa, the salsa was spicy but it was good. For food, we ordered their chile relleno and camarones al mojo de ajo. Both came with rice, beans, and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. We got corn and flour tortillas which were handmade. Everything was delicious! Very good spot, and definitely recommend!

Service was slow even though there were only a couple of customers. Lengua taco was plain with a gamey taste. Menudo was like eating beef tripe soup, always thought hominy was part of menudo not an extra. My wife got carne asada and only ate half. Don't recommend this place, plenty of better choices in Watsonville

Chilaquiles were some of the best I've had! Really cool spot- only downside was that the CC wasn't working so I had to get cash.

They don't have a menu up on the wall; instead, they have individual menus that you can take to a table and then you go up to order at the register when you're ready. I inquired about beers they had on tap which they didn't know off the top of their head. I was not exactly a fan of the price. I ordered two of the taco combo plate that comes with 2 tacos, beans and rice which cost about $18.5 each for two plates, and a glass of beer. The total came out to $50 and didn't include the tip. They don't have real silverware, instead you're given disposable wooden utensils which I did not like. Apparently in an effort to continue to be sustainable, if you want salsa or other sides for your tacos, you're supposed to take your plate to their self-service condiments area to put it on your plate. The staff were also weird about just providing the small salsa containers. The handmade tortillas and rice were delicious, but I've definitely had tastier tacos for a fraction of the cost at other places. The staff were attentive in picking our plates once we had finished eating, so that was nice. All in all, I am sure there are better places that are more inexpensive than this place.

You have to go to the cashier and order and pay your foods at the same time. Which is a bit easier to do I guess. Then your food will be delivered to you at your table. I ordered a chicken enchilada. It's good for the price. My friends ordered different dishes and they loved it. They have clean bathrooms which is a plus. Super quick. At $5.25 for a breakfast burrito, it's good value, even though the burrito itself is kinda small. I got the steak and egg burrito and my whole group went with the same thing. The meat quality and quantity were pretty good for $5. I'm not a big breakfast guy, so I was fine eating just one, but if you're actually hungry, I'd say get two. It's literally just steak and eggs, nothing extra. On its own it's a little bland, but the red salsa saved it. The salsa had good heat and added the flavor the burrito needed. Small note, mine wasn't wrapped perfectly so some egg fell out. Not a huge deal, but I was eating in my car and ended up with some egg spilling. Just something to keep in mind since there's not really seating. Overall, quick, affordable, and solid for a no frills breakfast.

The skin was also nice and yummy. More of a braise so not crunchy. My taco was amazing deep fried with the filling then the dress it up. It was nice and crunchy. Tortillas was fresh as well so loved it. Only disappointment was beans was a to dry for me and rice was over cook soggy. But carnitas is the star here. The restaurant is located in a beautiful traditional building with a lot of character. I really enjoyed the ambiance and decor, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Even though the restaurant was busy, they were able to seat us right away. The menu was extensive, offering a wide variety of options. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa, which were both good. The salsa had a nice flavor, and the chips were fresh. We also ordered the nachos as an appetizer. For our entrees, I ordered Combo Plate #6, which included a chile verde burrito, a cheese enchilada, and a carne asada taco. We also ordered a carne asada taco plate with a cheese enchilada and a chimichanga. When the food arrived, the presentation was impressive, and the portions were very generous. Unfortunately, this is where our experience started to decline. The rice and beans were good, but the chile verde burrito was quite dry. The pork lacked tenderness and was overcooked. The cheese enchilada was decent, though not particularly memorable. The carne asada taco was also disappointing. While the tortilla was excellent and the meat was well-seasoned, the steak itself was very fatty and undercooked. In fact, no one at our table was able to finish their steak tacos because of the quality of the meat. The chimichanga was another letdown. It arrived covered in sauce like a wet burrito, which eliminated the crispy texture you would expect from a chimichanga. As a result, it became soggy and still somehow tasted dry inside. The highlight of the meal was definitely the nachos--simple, flavorful, and enjoyable. The service was also very good. Our server was attentive, regularly refilling our drinks and bringing additional chips without us having to ask. Overall, we really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the food fell short of our expectations. I probably wouldn't return for dinner, but I would consider stopping by for happy hour, some nachos or appetizers, and to enjoy the ambiance.
