    Hot Roast Beef to savor.
    Joel L.

On a trip to the Gettysburg outlets, we decided to stay in the area and look for lunch. We agreed on Olivia's which is close to the outlets and the other choices for lunch were less appealing. Olivia's has charm that is only matched by the quality and appeal of the food. Our choices were exceptional, and, the service was attentive. The desserts are homemade. The Greek selections are a standout. My selection for lunch was the Hot Roast Beef. It was perfect in every way. Olivia's is a find for fine food, excellently prepared and presented. Don't forget the Baklava!

This restaurant is ALWAYS amazing! The food is great, the staff is awesome, and the ambiance is relaxing. This place has been one of my family's favorite haunts for years. No matter what the occasion, my picky-eating daughter requests to go here for the dinner (even though it is an hour drive for us.) Well worth the trip every time. Gettysburg's best.

Authentic Greek/Italian food in a homey yet elegant atmosphere. Perfect for a family gathering or special occasion dinner. Everything was delicious and portion sizes were just right.

Been here many time... it's one of the reasons I call Gettysburg my happy place! The food is unbelievable and the service and atmosphere is absolutely the best!

I was nearby for work and wanted to try Olivia's quickly before catching my flight. I only had time to order the app Lasagna Frita, which was pretty good and definitely big enough to share. I would recommend it. Will definitely be going back to try a few more dishes the next time I'm in town.

Great burger very filling. Greek flavors mixed in to a traditional burger. It was very good and fresh.

Had a glass of water ONCE. But, after seeing that this place failed a food safety inspection, I'll never stop here for anything.

He said that "You are transported back in time the moment you step into the place." He was not wrong. Though it was late evening, there were still tons of people waiting to get in. We were starving but figured the wait must mean the food was worth it and...it was! We chose first available and were seated at the bar in the corner. It was nice because we didn't wait long to be served and we had I nice view of the entire restaurant. A very rustic place that looked as I would imagine it did in 1863. My friend ordered a Caesar salad, fillet, and a baked potato. The salad came with a freshly baked yeast dinner roll. Fillet was cooked to perfection. I ordered the King's Soup which was French onion soup except with large chunks of tender beef in it. My entree was the Spring House Salad which was mixed greens, apples, walnuts, chipped smoked turkey, with herb dressing and it was divine. The sleeper of the meal was the datenut bread with cream cheese that came with my salad. A dark brown molasses bread with dried fruit and nuts. It was so chocked full of nuts and fruit while the dough was the most moist bread I've ever had. I couldn't eat both pieces after the meal so took it in a to go container. I ate it on the drive home and it was still moist and delicious.

We always are cheerfully greeted, and we are seated immediately because it was right after lunch and right before the dinner rush and we sat in the bar area on a high top and it worked out perfectly. Our server was outstanding. She came over got our drink order and if we wanted any appetizers which we did not get this time, but let me just say their appetizers are to kill for they are outstanding. As you can see in the photos, the burgers are done right they are nice and juicy and the toppings are just right in the buns are so fresh. It's crazy. So if you're in the Gettysburg Square area, we highly and I mean highly recommend stopping in here for either a burger or one of their other options which are all really good food well prepare prepared.

The ground at the Farnsworth Inn where the restaurant is is covered in wood chips; meaning the feet do NOT lay level on the ground. That was bad; worse was the brain dead girl who saw my blood on my hand and knee ( my knee was bad) and instead of saying "let me tell me manager and are you OK?" She says DUMBLY, "Sorry". this did no good at all obviously. I would not eat there until they level the ground the chairs are on outside and hire intelligent helpful people. "Sorry" was NOT what I wanted to hear. Care for me and the future people who gently lean back in their chairs to relax and then crash into a bed of bricks and rocks is the correct approach. Really really bad place

Of the two servers they had, we had the worst of the two. She disappeared from the floor for long periods so it was difficult to even get a drink refill. Ended up sticking with water as the one cocktail I had was clearly a mix and also seemed to have no alcohol in it. Appetizer selection was limited to seafood or onion soup. Don't like seafood? Tough luck. If you like seafood with some variation of Old Bay then you'll probably like this place. Although there are much cheaper places to eat if you just want basic northerner seasoning. The restaurant was not advertised as a seafood place otherwise I would have avoided it. I ended up ordering a steak, which came with a salad and a potato. The salad and potato was the best part. Despite ordering the steak medium rare, it was unevenly cooked and dry with a leathery exterior. I would have sent it back but I didn't want to spend another hour trying to get someone's attention to resolve it. If I ever find myself in Gettysburg again, I will be sure to eat elsewhere, this was not good value for money.

The first time we came here, last fall, we ordered pizzas for the table (there were four of us) and we all loved the food. Pizzas were bar pies and were pretty good (coming from a pizza snob). The drinks were a little pricey, but the service was great and we love the atmosphere. This most recent trip was not as good. We both wanted to try the bbq this time and were seated on the 'other' side. We were very confused as there was no BBQ on the menu, only to realize when the waitress came over that we didn't get the BBQ menus. We placed an order for drinks and looked over the menu, eventually we both chose a one meat combo - wifey ordered the brisket, Mac and cheese and cornbread and I had the ribs with baked beans and cole slaw. We also ordered an appetizer of hushpuppies. The sides were all fantastic...the Mac n cheese needed a touch of salt, but otherwise they were great. The hushpuppies were missing something-not sure if they put the sweet and spicy chipotle drizzle on them. Neither of us loved the meats. The brisket was tasty, but very fatty (yes, I know brisket has a fat layer, but this was very fatty). My ribs were a bit tough...again, they tasted fine, but they needed a little more time on the smoker (I'm not a fall off the bone guy, but the bite on these were a bit too much). Additionally, it too WAY too long for us to get our drinks...arrived about three minutes before our food was served. I'm sure this was a one-off, bad day, because I've heard great things about the bbq here. We're gonna stop in again next time, hopefully to bump up the rating.
