We had the whole foundation on our mother's home replaced. We were told a different crew was coming to do the work. The crew that came out didn't have accurate paperwork for the job. We are thankful for the crew mixup because Horacio and his crew did a good job with the foundation. Although there was a language barrier, they addressed our concerns as the work progressed. Even thought the project was larger than expected, his crew took the time needed to do the job right. The only had concerns when the production manager showed up on the site. This is when the job seemed rushed. I rated the work three stars because of the mistakes made by non-workers. I asked the salesman, James, the estimate of work and he said 5 to 6 days. The scheduler at the office estimated 4 days. These estimation inconsistencies seem to be a common theme. The crew started our work a day late because they were finishing a previous job. The salesman didn't quote replacement of the main beam even thought it was obvious that at least some of the beam needed replacing. The main beam was a change order. read more

I needed a reliable company to perform a major foundation repair and Olshan was the perfect company. From beginning to end Tammie and Jessica were very helpful and responsive to messages/calls. They answered every question I had from payment options to warranty information. The day of the job Tyler Olds and crew arrived on time, were very professional and respectful of my property. Upon completion of the job, the crew cleaned, sprayed down the areas were they worked and removed debris, leaving my yard in pretty good shape for all the work that was done!! I am very satisfied with the work done to repair the foundation; during the time they were here, if I had questions they took the time to explain things to me and what the end result would be. I was terrified that my floors in my 1959 home were rotting, and I was going to fall through them. Walking in the kitchen and master was like walking in a bouncy house. I set up 3 appointments for free consultations, and Olshan was first. James came out and alleviated all of my fears. My floors were in great condition, I just needed support. He was so nice, and professional, I signed the agreement on the spot and canceled the other appointments. Fast forward a few weeks, and Santiago's crew just left. I am so happy, they made my year! The were in and out in record time, and my floors are firm and solid. We jumped up and down, and no movement! We had Olshan out to quote some work. They were very professional and offered great solutions. Our rep suggested we do phase 1 to see if it solved the issue. We could always do more later. We decided to move forward and he would check back in the fall to talk phase 2. The team showed up on time and did a wonderful job. They did some trenching under the house and installed a sump. We didn't know we had to get an electrician to install a plug. Simple miscommunication which we rectified the following week. In normal Memphis weather, it didn't rain for a month. When it did the sump turned on but wouldn't turn off. We unplugged it and called Olshan. They sent out a tech who "adjusted" the pump. Then it went dry again mand didn't rain hard until last week. This time the sump did not turn on. I contacted my salesperson to express my displeasure. He instructed me to call the office for an appointment. I explained that he sold me the sump and I expected him to assist. He said he would handle on Monday morning. It's now Thursday night and not a peep from him. On Tuesday evening this week, I reached out to Olshan thru their corporate website to schedule a service call. As I said before, it's Thursday night and nothing. It's very frustrating. read more

We just had a house built with a conventional foundation. Right before we moved in, we noticed some of the floors were not level. The builder said it would be easy to fix and he would send the carpenter back out. Well if the carpenter didn't do it right the first time, then I want another opinion of what's wrong with it so I know what has to be done. I called Olshan. They sent Marty out in February to look under the house. He told me the work looked terrible and he didn't know what to do to fix the house. He said it hasn't even settled and he doesn't know how to fix it. He told me to get an engineer and he'll do what the engineer says, but he just walked away with no estimate or anything. At first I thought this is what these guys do. Floors and foundations. Mine are in bad shape and they don't know how to fix it? It took me a while to understand that Marty did the right thing. Honestly and integrity were the reasons for him walking away. He just didn't explain it well enough for me to understand. If the structure is built properly, and it settles, you can put it back where it needs to be. If it's built wrong to start with, you can't twist it into shape and fix it. I am the victim of a shoddy contractor. The engineer I hired said that my house does not meet minimum code requirements and that it was built so bad that it has to be torn down. It has many major structural problems. Im writing this review in August and we've only been in the brand new house 6 months now. Olshan was out right before we moved in. He realized that this house would never be right if it was built this poorly. I just didn't understand yet why they can't "fix" it. We recently had two of Olshan's competitors come out. They gave us crazy, ridiculous priced proposals for all this work to "attempt" to fix it. The contracts actually say they will attempt it. And they will not guarantee it will be level. The engineer told me this house cannot be fixed without tearing it down. Olshan's competitors want to take advantage of me for work that will not solve our problem. Marty at Olshan did the right thing. I got taken advantage of by a builder, but not by Olshan. read more

I appreciated the follow-up calls and emails when schedule appointments were rescheduled during this pandemic. Also, the honesty of the technician regarding my repair issue who informed me that it wasn't my foundation. Also, he recommended another company that could possibly solve my problem. The staff made me feel comfortable with their process to come out and evaluate my property. I felt their process put both of our health first when it came to having a physical contact with the technician. We are still in a covid19 pandemic and I appreciated their concerns. I had foundation work done in July 2021 off of the guidance of an Olshan sales representative. we were told to wait 30-60 days for the work to "settle" and if any adjustments needed to be made, just call. We noticed a crack in the wall and ceiling and called for an adjustment. A manager came on Sept 23, 2021 and looked and told us the problem was that we needed a different type of material and he would get that set up. We made an appointment for Nov. They never showed. We made another appointmen and when that team came out, they were never told about a different type of equipment , they were told to come for an adjustment. Then the first thing the gentleman says to me is, "has anyone talked to you about your subfloors". He proceeds to tell me that the work can't be done because of rotten wood. Then he says he can get his boss to call me and they can do the wood repair. It is now Feb 17 and we had an appointment finally today in which no one showed or called. At a loss, don't know if I should contact an attorney at this point. read more
