I am writing regarding a truck I purchased from Olympia Mazda that has since required significant repairs due to major issues that were not disclosed at the time of sale. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I began experiencing serious mechanical problems. In fact, the check engine light came on during my drive home from the dealership. Since then, I have had to complete extensive repairs totaling approximately $10,000. After inspecting the vehicle, my mechanic indicated that the nature of these issues strongly suggests they were present prior to the sale and would have been difficult to overlook. Since the purchase, I have made multiple attempts to contact a manager to discuss these concerns. Each time, I was told the manager was unavailable -- either in a meeting, on a call, or assisting another customer -- and unfortunately, my calls were never returned. This lack of follow-up has been very frustrating, especially given the seriousness of the situation. At the time of purchase, I relied on the expectation that the vehicle had been properly inspected and that any known material issues would have been disclosed. Before purchasing from them, if there was a skip button for the part where you find the car to the part where you are driving it home, I would have clicked it. I was indecisive, had a million questions, test drove what felt like every CX90 and CX70 on the lot and he was patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable!! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Olympia Mazda is, and no amount of what I say will ever do it justice. Let's talk about Jason in Service in particular. This amazing rep has gone out of his way multiple times to save the day for me and my Mazda 2021 CX-30. First, mice chewed through my wires a few years ago, and Oly Mazda was the one who informed me it's covered under my comprehensive insurance. When my insurance company balked, they assisted in fighting them for me and gave me a loaner car for the weeks it took to get my insurance to do what I pay them for and cover the damages. Then, just yesterday, my OG battery died after 85,000 miles (I commute 110 miles a day). It was the end of the day on a very trying Monday. Their mechanics leave at 5p, and I didn't get there until 4:15, and the waiting room was packed. They stayed late to get me back on the road, and it didn't cost me the first born I'm never going to have. I live in Bremerton, and originally started going to them for my service because I work in Oly. After everything their service department has done for me, I will always travel to Olympia for my service, regardless of where my job shack is located. I've been to 4 Mazda dealerships in my 22 year span as a Mazda owner. Oly Mazda is top notch, their people genuinely care, and in my opinion, they are the absolute best. Shout out to Jason, who has been amazing, and another shout out to Don and Jim in Sales for selling me my CX-30 when it was time to upgrade my 3 hatchback, and selling my boyfriend his CX-50 after another driver slammed into and totaled his Jeep. They are affordable, compassionate, and go out of their way to make sure we are safely back on the road. read more

From the moment I walked in, Greg was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. He was patient in answering all my questions and made sure I was added to the Mazda app and understand how to use it, as well as connecting my bluetooth and walking me through all of the features in my car. It's clear he cares about helping customers and he really made this process so comfortable. I had an unfortunate negative experience with a used car that I traded in for a new 2025 CX-50 so I was pretty tense and stressed but I felt like I was in great hands and I really appreciate it. My car-buying experience was horrible from start to finish. At first, I met with Jim, and I actually thought he was a good salesperson. The color I wanted wasn't available, so I agreed to wait for it to be delivered ,that part was fine. But then he brought over credit paperwork for me to fill out. I was confused because I never told him I was financing through them. He said, "No, I just want it on file in case we need it." It didn't make sense, but I went along with it. Later that day, I received a notification that my credit had been checked. I called him and asked why he ran my credit without permission. His excuse made no sense, but I asked for the APR anyway since it was already done. He told me 2.9%. When the car finally arrived, he called me to pick it up. But when I got there, he had increased the out-the-door price by about $2,000. At first, I wondered if he thought I wouldn't notice. I stayed quiet for a moment to see if he would correct himself, because I had given him a copy of the original out-the-door price. After five minutes, I addressed it. He pretended to "ask his manager," but I could clearly see he never actually spoke to anyone, he knew exactly what he was doing. It still didn't end there. I went to the finance person, who ran my credit again, even though I was told they weren't going to. Suddenly, the APR changed from 2.9% to 3.9%. He started throwing out numbers quickly, talking about "auto packages," but avoiding the real total cost. I stayed patient, because no one can force me to sign anything I don't agree to. Then came the biggest red flag, he tried to add $10,000 for a so-called "car package." When I refused, he got visibly upset and rude. That level of unprofessional behavior was shocking. Please be warned: if you are a woman or an immigrant, these older men will try to act smart and take advantage of you. But I made sure to stand my ground, and I think I taught them a lesson. I bought a used pickup from Olympia Mazda and paid for an additional package of coverage that included 4 oil changes. My wife made an appointment for 11 am and I arrived on time. I was then told it would be an hour and a half to 2 hours wait before it could be started, if not more. We were not told this ahead of time We would have planned for this but the woman who.checked me in didnt care at all for my inconvenience. We feel that we were tricked into spending the money and not given proper service for what was promised. read more

Olympia Mazda is a decent place to buy a car (lowest taxes around) but the experience is a bit old fashioned. Rather than CarMax where there is no hassle and no pressure, Olympia Mazda is hassle and pressure. There's a captive audience in Olympia so you get what you get - we bought our car there. In terms of service, Olympia Mazda is above average. Although the service is very slow (2-3 hours on average), it is very detailed and quality (thanks Robby!). Key thing to note - Although appointments start at 7:30AM, the technicians don't come in until 8:30AM so expect drop-off only for the first hour. The waiting area has wifi and a Keurig so it's not all bad news. read more

Amazing, Fast, Transparent, Friendly and Fun is exactly how I would describe my experience at Olympia Mazda on 9/19/2023.     I wanted to buy my parents a car so I started my search online at Olympia Mazda. I picked out my car, had financing pre-approved, and communicated with my salesperson before I went to the lot. I changed my mind about the car I wanted before I got there. My salesman, Jim Rosson didn't miss a beat and in a flash had all the info I needed on the model I wanted. Jim is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and made me feel at home in the dealership. I've already recommended him to a friend and I will definitely call on him for my next Mazda.            As a woman I've had some nasty experiences in the past at other dealerships. The transparency and respect I received from everyone at Olympia Mazda amazed me!      I have never seen any finance manager move faster or be any more organized than Jeremy Kpeglo. He was 100% transparent and he took the time to make sure I understood 100% of my loan, the intrest I'd be paying, and made sure I knew all of my options. This is indeed the very first time after 6 new car purchases I have felt 100% satisfied and had zero buyers remorse! I should also mention I walked onto the lot 45 minutes before closing. Please buy your car elsewhere. I tried to buy a used truck from this dealership. They said that the multipoint inspection had passed. I took the car to a mechanic to confirm, and found out that it was not roadworthy at all. The mechanic was ashamed of the condition of the brakes and said it shouldn't be on the road. He also found someone had spraypainted over rust on the body in a way that didn't fix the problem, but just masked it. The dealership didn't mention any of this. My daughter bought her first car today, a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. After contacting probably six different dealerships from Marysville to Tacoma to Lakewood, we finally found the exact vehicle we were looking for - and more importantly, found an honest and no-pressure staff to facilitate the sale. I was in contact with Jim Rosson by text and email for several days and obtained the OTD on the Crosstrek my daughter wanted. Once at the dealership this morning we were allowed to drive the Crosstrek to a local mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. Jim said "Feel free to take it on a long test drive if you want, there's plenty of gas." Everything checked out at the PPI. When we returned to the dealership, we reviewed / signed the loan agreement. How many dealerships do you know that will give you the "buy rate" and not boost the interest rate you'll actually pay? After a brief call to our insurance company the dealership filled the tank and we left. What a pleasant experience. I highly recommend Olympia Mazda to you. Can I just emphasize how much I hate going through this process? But I'm telling you, there was no pressure today; just friendly staff with lots of integrity. read more

My Mazda MPV expired. The folks here tried incredibly hard to revive to no avail. But, they let me store the van on their lot for 3 months (I had to get a copy of my title to salvage, and the state of Washington will kick it out in seconds if you pay them an extra $50, but otherwise it takes 12 weeks). In any event, if my Mazda were still a thing, I would only take it to them. Great people! read more

Went to Mazda of Olympia to buy a car for my son. Worked with a. Sales rep there gave me a price in Writing of 10,400 for the car. Told me the car had to be fixed then he would bring down to dealership. When I couldn't meet day one classic car salesmen tactic of lots of interest in the car can't guarntee it will be here. (Been with dealership since June). Eventually I make time during the workday to come down. When I get there he hits me with a price of 11,900 $1500 more. When I asked why he said well we had to fix a part. When I reminded him he told me that would not cost me extra he said I don't make the rules I just work here. As I was walking out he asked if he could try and get me a better price. If you want a dealership to waste your time, raise the price when you get to the dealership and when you bring it up say not my call then shop here, if you want professional sales people go see Milam Mazda (sister dealership in Puyallup) have done business there and they always have acted with integrity. read more

After paying a $500 deposit to hold the car, we had a scheduled appointment and traveled from Bellingham to Olympia only to find the car torn apart and not ready. The car was available a week later. On the drive home the Check Engine light came on. The car required service for a broken oil switching solenoid connector. A week later, all of the coolant had drained from the cooling system and the car again required a new radiator. The following week, the car engine seized and the car was towed back to Lincoln Mazda dealership for repairs. Five (5) weeks later, the car was finally delivered back to us on the 15th of July. By August 5th the car was again malfunctioning with oil soaking the spark plugs following the placement of a new motor by the dealership. The vehicle has only been drivable for less than three weeks total since its purchase roughly 3 months ago. We tried to be patient and understanding of the situation, however, the dealership has failed to properly correct multiple mechanical issues. The dealership stated time and again, that it would "make it right" and stand behind the car that we purchased. At this time, however, we are left with a unreliable vehicle, requiring further repairs that should have been caught by the service department. In addition, there is a warranty on the rebuilt engine they put in, but they will not give us any details about it. read more

When I took my wife to test drive it with the salesman that contacted us we were told that the cost of the vehicle was actually over $94K and the internet quote was wrong! Great bait and switch. On October 29th 2018 my husband and I test drove a 2005 VW Beetle only to not be able to drive off the lot due to a bad catalytic converter. The dealership replaced the part, we came back to drive it and bought the car on November 1st 2018. After we signed all the paperwork and started the car to drive it off the lot the check engine light came on. We were told to bring back the car and they would take a look at it. The dealership took the car into their service department and diagnostic came back as a "misfire" and the check engine light was cleared. After day or so the light came back on. It took about 3 weeks to get the dealership to replace the "bad catalytic converter" and right after I got the car back for the check engine light to come back on. I decided to get a second opinion and went to Travis at Olympia Autohoas in downtown Olympia and paid for a full diagnostic. I found out it was the o2 sensors causing the catalytic converter code not the actual converter itself. Which seems odd because in my work paperwork it says the o2 sensors were tested and "seemed okay" I also found out the timing belt was not put on correctly and I will need to replace it soon because it's wearing out faster. The cost to replace the o2 sensors as well as replace the timing belt (and all that it entails) will cost a lot of money. I don't recommend this dealership as far as using their service department. They don't seem to be fully knowledgeable, especially with European cars. 3 stars is giving for the fact they did attempt to fix the issue multiple times but the issue couldn't be resolved at this dealership and I will be going elsewhere. read more

My wife and I purchased a 2013 MKZ from this dealership and after a couple days of driving noticed a problem with the car. I took the car to the service department and both the service manager and technician verified the problem with the car. They replaced rear struts, body control module (BCM) and aligned it 3 times which after the 3rd alignment the car wouldn't drive in a straight line and was worse then when I first took it in. They had my car for over 2 months. I finally took my car to a Ford dealership and they aligned the car, the front toe was off by 56 degrees combined and the rear toe was off by 52 degrees combined, the car now drove straight but still swayed and wouldn't track correctly when running over tar strips I had asked them to try tires and was told that wasn't the problem. So I ponied up and put new tires on the car and it Now drives like a dream. When I went in to talk to their new service manager he told me that they don't warranty tires because Ford doesn't make them TOTAL BULLSHIT!! I've worked for Ford dealerships and have warrantied a Lot of tires. Remember the Firestone tire recall???? This dealership Sucks and if I could give it Negative stars I would. Bottom line is they Don't stand behind what they sell. Go elsewhere to purchase a car!! I find it necessary to update this review. After contacting the owner of the dealership they did reimburse me for 1/2 of the cost of the new tires. I really shouldn't of had to go to these lengths but in the end I feel they made things right. read more

No matrix pricing, not padding bills with extras, selling services you might not need and Jesse is a great Tech to work on your car. Parts is much improved after hiring that useless Manager they had named Jim. If you have a Ford take it there. We are extremely pleased with our purchase of a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum from Lincoln & Mazda of Olympia. Our sales agent Shade, he was amazing! This was not an a typical car buying experience. We needed a NAFTA car big enough for our move to Puerto Vallarta Mexico. We would have loved a Mazda CX-9 but it's not built in a NAFTA Country. We needed to be able to import it permanently into Mexico after my 4 yrs of Temporary residency was up. When importing it couldn't be newer than 5 yrs or older than 10. We needed plenty of cargo capacity, luggage racks, and decient gas milage as the gas company in mexico is owned by the government, and pricey. A luxury vehicle is not practical, not just the price of parts and complex labor to work on them, but it must hold up to Topes/Speed bumps and cobbled streets. We had shopped Yakima, Ellensburg, Tri-cities, and Puyallup. Sales agents kept trying to push a new car, or they had limited inventory within our guidelines. We had narrowed it down to a Subaru Outback or Rav4, but we were less than excited about purchasing one. Everyone has one, supply was high and bargains harder to find. Plus they didn't fit our personality. When Shade researched the lot for eligible vehicles, he suggested the Pathfinder out of all of them. We weren't sure about it, but we took it for a ride. It was perfect and Shade was very knowledge about all aspects of the vehicle. Like our cell phones, the Platinum Pathfinder is a Smart Car!! Shade gave us a complete Tutorial and helped us connect our phones, program Navigation, and set all our personal preferences into the car's memory. Shade went over the owners manuals with us and looked into every question we had that he didn't know, which wasn't much. Shade was courteous, professional, and a educated conversationalist. We wanted to take him to dinner just so we could visit with him more. My single daughter lives in Olympia and works at St Peters, I would love for her to meet a great guy like Shade, he'd make a great Son-in-law and I am picky! Ask for Shade he will do his best to get you what you need while making it a pleasant experience. We hated car shopping, but Shade made this dreaded chore nice. read more

My father has purchased three vehicles from this place. Easily spend 80k here and he trusted them enough to refer me to come here to purchase my car. I had a great experience with the sales rep and my father knew most of the staff from high school. I happily purchased a 20k car here over a year ago. A month or so ago I went in for my normal oil change. When I get my car back I they vacuumed my vehicle without my knowledge ( if I would've known prior, I would've been fine with it) BUT THEN I find my extra oil and my belonging missing. When you have loyal customers that put there trust in you, stealing their belongings it's not a good way to keep it. They did refund my and I thank you for that but I will never come here again unless I have recall issues. read more
