I've been coming to this,restaurant for years and always recommend olympia however ....when I use a debit card and you want to charge me 3% extra for using it, you're either going to lose me and my business and my recommendations or the server will get shorted the great tip I'm known for leaving. I'm going to make a suggestion- since you offer the debit card option I don't see why I have to pay the 3%, why not put up a sign and offer a cash incentive of 5% off bill like a couple other restaurants i know that do it, to pay the bill and save a service fee, that way the server won't be short tipped because I resent being charged that fee!!! I was upset over being charged more since we're already paying more price increase. Offer the 5% discount to pay in cash unless you're enjoying charging your customers an extra 3% because most Americans use credit cards or debit cards. If no incentive, your server will be tipped less and that's just wrong. But as a patron I'm going to start somewhere. I didn't know of the fee until I bothered to ask. read more

This place is, by far, the best place for lunch or dinner in Vineland, NJ. I would definitely give it 5 stars for food. Where they lose points with me is with one particular server. I come here often for lunch. I am a big guy, and I like to sit at the same table in the corner. For some reason, this one little server has a problem with it. There are about 30 tables in the restaurant and I have never seen more than 5 or 6 tables occupied at lunchtime. Regardless, if I ask to sit at my preferred table, this lady always says, "No, that table seats 4. You have to sit at one of the two person tables. We might get busy." (They NEVER get that busy at lunchtime and my preferred table always remains empty.) It seems like a small thing, but I am a bit OCD, or autistic, or something. I am a 61 year old man who is very comfortable with routines and VERY uncomfortable when my routines are disrupted, especially unnecessarily. This server doesn't realize, I typically tip 20% , but her tip drops to 10% every time she refuses to seat me where I prefer. I eat my meal in uncomfortable silence and she loses a few dollars. Always a good mom and pop shop in Vineland for decently authentic Greek food. Prices can't be beat, portions are to die for and just a good time. They even cater! We've tried multiple dishes here and every time it's good. We love coming back and will continue to do so. Service is quick. Friendly or not depends on who you get. The checkout process could be a bit updated but you have to write in your tip before their run your card so there is always that awkward feeling of you have to tip more than the meal/time was worth since they'll see it as soon as they run the final price. Best Greek food in Vineland I'm not certain but I think it's the only Greek cuisine restaurant in our city Lol. They sell a lot of take out but there's plenty of tables for dining in too. It's a friendly atmosphere but If you go during lunch time it gets a bit tight since the building isn't that big. So if you like a lot of space I suggest ordering take out. Went here around 12:30p on a Thursday. Very easy to get somewhere to seat for 3 people. We ordered an order of hummus and pita bread which was solid and an appetizer I would order again. The Stoffy's favorite was my meal which was solid. I was initially weary about ordering portobello mushroom in a Greek spot, but wanted something healthy and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything tasted. I've been coming here for over a decade since I was a teenager and can't say anything negative. It's honestly an amazing place to get food from. Everything is always so fresh and well made. Servers have remembered me even when I have had year long breaks from going there because I was living out of town for a while. Their service is that great along side the good food. Some of our favorite dishes are the Pastisio, Gyro, Chicken Slouvaki, and the Greek combination. Their hummus is also some of the best I've had and blow away anything you could buy in a store. Small thing but honestly their dressing is also amazing as well. It is so good I have just bought tubs of the dressing itself to take home and use on my own salad. It is that good. I'm from South Jersey, and moved out of the area. I came back for a visit, as this used to be my favorite restaurant in the area. Not anymore! This past visit was horrible! The food was nothing but over-priced slop. It had no taste other than being extremely salty and VERY expensive considering what you get. My husband got boiled (not roasted or broiled) lamb in a disgusting grey lumpy sauce which looked like they had just dumped a bottle of artichoke hearts on top. No taste at all. No spices, nothing. The pasta was cooked till it was mushy. He could barely eat it, and only did because he paid so much for it. My moussaka was so salty and bitter I am now laying down at home as we speak, with a stomachache. I vomited twice while I was there it was so bad. Worst experience in a Greek restaurant ever. This is a real shame and disappointment considering I have eaten here many, many times and it was always good. The prices have all been raised, and the food has seriously gone downhill. Great choice for satisfying that Greek craving! Had the Sampler #2, and it was PACKED with food! Menu says it serves 2 but could feed 3. So much good food! It came with 2 Greek salads, that had great dressing. Also 2 make-your-own gyros with very cucumbery-tasting tzatziki, that was so good! Pitas were fresh, lamb was well spiced and cooked perfectly. Pork/souvlaki was also added as a gyro filling, and was nice and tender, with seasoning. There was so much meat it easily could have filled another pita. The hot dish was the combo of moussaka, pastisio and hot dolmades over rice with avgolemon sauce. The moussaka and pastisio had more tomato in them than I am used to, seemed like a S. Jersey Italian influence, but it could just be a version with which I'm not familiar. It was all tasty, though the chicken flavored gravy (avgolemon sauce) on the rice conflicted a bit with the meat in the moussaka and pastisio, so plain rice or herbed rice would have been better.
