My partner and I stopped and decided to give Sushi Lovers a go. When we walked in, we immediately noticed it looked run down and dirty. She and I ordered the Sexy Beach roll, spicy tuna roll and the Mango Tuna roll. The Sexy Beach roll and the spicy tuna roll were edible, but the Mango Tuna roll had a very fishy taste. It was disgusting. They were kind enough to remove it from our bill, after we declined another one. Maybe they should call it the Atlantic City Hooker roll instead of the Mango Tuna roll. On top of the terrible Mango Tuna roll, the service was slow to boot. I'm not sure what took longer, to place our order or to get it. read more

Well, I was having a rough day and wanted to treat myself to some sushi so I went to sushi lover. Ive wanted to try Sushi Lover for a while so I went. I was barely greeted and I had to ask if I am allowed to sit anywhere and was given hand gestures to indicate that I could. Ordered sushi and water. Thee. worst. sushi I ever had !!! The wasabi ball looked/was so old, crusted and dark green that when I tried to take a small piece off to put on my sushi it rolled around my plate without breaking... I decided to not order any more food but wanted try their boba milk tea. Ohhhhhmg.. the boba was disgusting !!!!!! It was hard and tasted like raisins ! I could barely drink it, it was sooo bad. I threw it away as soon as I walked out. Never again! read more

The one is for the nice server that we had who was extremely friendly and polite. The food would receive a zero if possible. While this place is called Sushi Lover and I had originally entered with the premise of ordering sushi, I noticed the huge billboard for pork, chicken or shrimp ramen. I decided that it must be the featured item as it was promptly displayed above the sushi bar. Huge mistake on my part. I ordered the pork ramen which did not look anything like the advertised picture. The pork was dry and chewy. It tasted like it had been reheated many times. The broth was a strange brown color with absolutely no flavoring at all. While our waitress was nice, she disappeared after serving us our food and we never saw her again. Not once did anyone ask if we liked our food nor did they check up on us. We tried to be "sushi lovers" but you made us "sushi haters". read more

The ambient is really nice. The food was great and the prices was okay; but the waitress was not helpful at all. She didn't made any effort to try to make herself understandable; the huge pierce at her mouth wasn't the one to blame; ... not complaining about her choice but disappointed that she didn't tried... this was already uncomfortable then we asked for the difference between few items at the menu and she said look at the description; has it . So; we felt more uncomfortable because as a newbie we were on a mood to try new things . We ended up ordering four entrees. And on the end a nice and helpful waitress came to ask us for desert and she was clear and nice enough to help us in our decision. 2 Thumbs up. I'm from out of town and needed a sushi fix. I judge everything at a sushi restaurant place from their rice to miso to their sake and hamachi. If you've never tried sushi, eat here. Can't find decent sushi in the area? Eat here. Need your weekly sushi fix? Eat here. The fish was delicious, they're prices are great and the service was friendly. All the rolls were rolled well, good rice to fish ratio and the place was clean. Can't say I'll be back soon but I hope when I return next year it'll still be here. You can't ask for a better experience here. 5 stars to keep the bar high! No wonder Mike Trout eats here frequently (if that's true) and I'll be back again sometime when in the area. Clean restaurant, great and friendly service and fresh quality sushi. The Sushi Love Roll with Avocado Salad and Miso Soup was perfect and rounded out to $30 with tip. Nice. read more

if I could I'd give -5stars ! this place is a going down bad! ordered a Mitch roll like always! They're my favorite but it was awful this time. It has changed terribly & it wasn't always this way. They told me 15 mins I came in 5, it was sitting there waiting on me when I arrived. if I waited 15 it would have been way more mushy and soggier than what it was... so I get home ( 5 mins away) to eat open it and yuck!!!! NOTHING WAS FRESH! the shrimp were old and chewy like rubber. The eel sauce was nasty and sticky like it had sit out uncovered. The salmon under the seaweed was cooked unevenly so some were raw while the others stunk and were cooked! The wasabi was dried out and the ginger was not fresh at all. I couldn't even finish it man. I use to love this place, but it has definitely fallen off the past couple times I've been there. The waitresses are super pushy and rush you to order. I can't even have some time to look through the menu. The dishes are FILTHY! The past couple of times I've been there, I've had to ask to have my dishes switched out due to left over residue from someone else's meal. Even the soy sauce dish is dirty. The sushi is decent for Vineland but might think twice about coming back. read more

Although the food was okay, their customer service is disgusting. They have a waitress with glasses who has a problem with servicing customers of a "darker complexion". For starters, I walked in the restaurant and she completely overlooked me for a couple that came in after me. She completely did not even acknowledge me. When I asked for sauce, I held my hand out for her to look at it and put my container on the counter. It's disgusting that she's a racist and they have her in the front of the house. Everyone else was very nice. She should quit if she doesn't want to serve everyone equally. read more

....people only love this place because it's literally one of three or four places to get sushi in a ten mile radius. First, it's overpriced. Secondly, it takes forever to get your food (I ordered twenty-five minutes ago) and I am one of four people dining in at the moment. The sushi itself lacks quality, and I will list why: -rice is sticky -seaweed (paper) is chewy not crisp -fish is chewy! Good fish should be smooth and have almost a butter-esque texture in your mouth.. very soft and non-grainy feeling against the tongue. Bad sushi, like the stuff here, is the total opposite. Trust me people when you eat great sushi you will be forever changed. -Philadelphia rolls TYPICALLY have avocado, smoked salmon, and cream cheese. Mostly every sushi place ever in life serve them this way EXCEPT Sushi Lover! They serve them with cucumber minus avocado. Smh. When I asked for the cucumbers to be removed all I had left what a roll with smoked salmon and cream cheese. One positive is the ambiance- dark with decent music playing, good for a date. Sushi lover is one of the best and consistent sushi restaurant within 40 mile radius of Millville. This place is a gem, with large sashimi and Nigiri pieces. The sweet shrimp is a my regular staple here and uni when it's available. My 4 month stay in Millville was better because of Sushi lover. read more

The current owners, who I think are a brother & sister duo who took over a few years ago, have done so much to elevate the overall dining experience, especially the food. They are breaking out of the typical local model with the food, offering items like tuna tartare, grilled octopus and goat cheese crostini. I really appreciate that effort. More traditional dishes are still on offer though, like seafood platter, steak, clams & linguine, etc. I dine here once or twice a year when in town to visit my family, and each time it gets better! On our last visit, our entire party was pleased with their selections with standouts being the tuna tartare, fried flounder and the incredible desserts (banana pudding pie and key lime pie.) The desserts as well as a wide selection of drinks are all made in house and it shows. We brought our own beer & wine - I think Fortescue is a dry town. I'm not sure why there is resistance to a place like The Charlesworth serving their customers with wine & beer ‍ The Charlesworth is not an everyday dining spot due to the pricing, but I understand how expensive it is to run a nice restaurant with these offerings in an area like Downe Township, so I think the cost is justified for a special meal. Same with the food she asked all of us temperature, sides, and our weird requests and everything came out perfect. The food was delicious and top notch! I still can't believe I got 13 scallops for dinner for the price I paid. I would be lucky to get 6 scallops for the same price back home. There were absolutely no complaints at dinner! If you are in the area I would recommend stopping by and get some fresh seafood.

The lobster Mac and cheese was a the best of all, filled with large pieces of lobster and excellent tasting Macs and cheeses. The restaurant is semi self serve. We had to go to the register to put in our order. They allow paying with credit cards now. All staff members were super friendly. We got a bunch of complimentary bread and butter. The dishes were prepared within short time and they brought them out to the table. After the lunch was done, they came to clean the table too.
