For a Greek Gyro restaurant, the Hamburgers are pretty dam good too. So, bought a kid's cheeseburger meal, which included fries and 12 oz drink for $7.95 and a Double Cheeseburger Combo for $11.20'ish, which also came with fries and a 16 oz, then finally a piece of Baklava for $4.50. The burgers were delicious. Make fresh to order and how you want them. The only downside of the restaurant was that they didn't serve bacon to add to your burger, other than that they were hot and perfect. The patties were firm, uniformed, and well seasoned. They have fresh cut fries of the approx quarter inch square size. The size difference between the kids size menu burgers and the regular menu burgers being little to no difference. The kids menu is a great value. But note it is stated for "10 under". If taking home you might want to have a separate bag for the fry's. As just driving a short distance caused the toppings to wilt, because everything was so hot. Perfect double edged sword. The service was friendly and fast for fresh cooked food. The the restaurant's dining room is open and has definite Greek and Olympic feel. With booth and table seating. The they do implement a 2 student at a time in the restaurant policy, to control students from North High School over crowding the restaurant. They are currently open 11am - 8pm every. read more

For some reason Davenport has really good Gyros and upholds the consistency and quality and taste that you would expect over there in the home of Chicago-style Gyros - which surprisingly is Chicago. What I really love about this one is the cheap prices, good portions, and excellent taste - so everything really. Service is not bad, and now that Jimmy's King Gyro is out of business and the replacement is not as good (Lendi's), then Olympic is easily the best Gyro in the Quad Cities that have had - and I've had quite a few of them from the highly rated places. So stop on in here and try the best gyro that the Quad Cities has to offer and see how good it is. Needed a place for lunch and my coworker suggested Olympic Gyros. I haven't had Gyros since visiting Greece. The place is located in a small strip mall and had a steady flow of customers, we came right before the lunch rush. I got the gyro platter which came with fries. You get a lot of food for ten dollars. The gyro was very good, plenty of meat. The feta cheese was a small square and you needed more. The cucumber sauce was excellent. The olives had the pits and were great, lots of tomatoes. Excellent. The fries were soggy and I didn't care for them. The food is served quickly and the place had a nice lunch atmosphere. I was looking for a fast and inexpensive meal that was close to my hotel. Ordered the gryo plate and was surprised at the amount of meat in it. The fries are also very crispy, better than Mc Donalds in my opinion. A nice touch is it's served plain with a genrous helping of tzatziki sauce on the side along with some greek olives, tomato and a piece of feta cheese. As for inexpensive, I got the platter with a drink for less the cost of an appetizer at the restaurant across the street from my hotel. read more

Let me start by saying the staff is very friendly, service is very fast, and your food comes out quick. But to say this is one of the best gyros I've ever had... far from it! The good: lots of meat, the fries are amazing, for under nine bucks pretty good deal. The place is very clean, and smells great walking in. Lots of parking spaces so parking will not be a problem! The bad: Very greasy and Sloppy falls apart in your hand as you're eating that's not the way Jarrell was supposed to be. The sauce fall short of what the real sauce is... Perhaps they were having a bad day. Perhaps gyros simply do not to be that good when this is the only place in town. Either way, when we ordered food for our family of 4, spending about $30 total, we expect something more than a hastily slapped together gyro, with chunks of unseparated, poorly cut onion, and an uneven amount of sauce which was tangy and not fresh tasting. But the worst part were the kids' hot dogs: discolored, grey on the outside and bright pink on the inside. When we brought it to their attention they shrugged and said that they cook them ahead of time and that that's what happens after letting them sit in the water. Our kids, who are not picky eaters, refused to eat them after one bite. An apology and refund or offer to make some fresh would have been appropriate but we received no such thing; with such a callous attitude towards something as important as food safety, I give caution to anyone eating here. Having familiarity with gyro restaurants and mediterranean food faire, this was by far on the very bottom end of the food deliciousness spectrum. Sorry, locals, you need to raise the bar on your pita expectations. read more

7/2/18. Very clean restaurant. I had the gyro and my wife had the tenderloin sandwich. My gyro was very tender but stingy on the tzatziki sauce. The tenderloin was the size of a frizby and tasty. You could tell the French-fries were home made and very good. I also took an Italian beef sandwich home and it was good, but not the best. However I would get it again. Sandwich was stuffed with meat ( combo of lamb and beef) and the sauce was awesome although it could have maybe had some tomatoes on it. The French fries were enough for 2 people.
