The service was definitely lacking. I was given the incorrect side dish and the proper one didn't arrive until I was ¾ of the way through my dinner. We requested dessert to go and it never arrived. The chicken parm was moist and tender. My husband enjoyed his pasta dish. The bread was pretty nondescript and t room temperature. We used to live in the Quad Cities and had gone here a few times many years ago, but this is our first time back since then. We met another couple there and enjoyed a good meal and a couple of hours of great conversation. We were seated quickly, but it took a while for our server to make her way over to get our drink orders. Once we got those in our drinks were delivered and we ordered our meals. Food came out relatively quickly, and we had delicious bread to munch on while we were waiting. For dinner, I got the veal Parmesan, which was very tender veal and very tasty. My wife got the Salmon, which was pretty good, but her asparagus side was a bit woody. One other diner in our group got the Tortellini al Timballo, a hearty Italian dish, which was more than she could manage so she ended up taking about half of it home We got various glasses of wine from there pretty good wine list. We were there for a relaxing evening, so the somewhat slow service didn't bother us at all, but it did appear they might be a little understaffed with servers for a Friday night. Prices are exceptionally reasonable. I have been in Chicago earlier in the week and had a veal dish that was more than twice the cost of this one. The dining atmosphere is very casual and there is a lot of seating so I wouldn't think you would ever have to wait long for a table. Definitely a good deal for good food here. read more

Came here on Monday Feb 24th for a Birthday dinner and arrived right when they opened We got the young male server who didn't even take his hands out of his pockets the entire time. I was hearing the other server offering items and talking to her table and our waiter barely checked on us. The food was ok. I asked if they had any soup and he said no! Decided that we would give this place a try and cross over the bridge to Iowa at the same time. We were a little confused as we thought we came in the front but had to walk through the bar to the other entrance to be seated. We had toasted ravioli and veal Parm along with kids spaghetti pomodoro. You start with some fresh bread and bruschetta and those were both good. The veal was a huge portion and good, but the sauce was a bit bland. Kids ate most of their pasta and also liked the fettuccine Alfredo that came with the veal. Love the food even if they pronounce it strangely! Other trattorias I've eaten at pronounce it tra-tor-EE-ah. In Italian the accent is usually on the pentultima (second to last) syllable. At this restaurant on State Street in Bettendorf I was told the name was pronounced tra-TOR-ee-ah. Interesting. The food and service are still great. read more

went tonight has our usual gave the waiter our description he comes back and has lost it - we used it in leu of menu bc it was always our favorite meal - so meal arrived mine was COLD wife's lack ingredients especially garlic so inquired to the waiter & he got very indignant to us so service went south from there. Good food, but there are many flies buzzing around the dining room (Gross). The people who work there need to spray for flies every night after close. When I was 16 I worked at McDonald's and it was policy, to spray for flies every night after close. That was fast food, run by teenagers... I really expect better from Trattoria Tiramisu. read more

While I'd say that this is a fine option, this is clearly not the five-star review I thought I would be writing after my meal here. On a couple of trips before, I read all about this place and by the time we actually buckled down for a meal, maybe my expectations were overly inflated? Don't get me wrong, the food was good, the service was speedy (which would be expected for a relatively empty restaurant on a Wednesday evening), and the prices were very reasonable at about $35/person including drinks and a shared dessert. Still, when all was said and done, I don't think I'd rush back here for any reason and likely won't return until exhausting other viable options in the area. As other reviewers have said, the outside leaves much to be desired, but the interior was as nice as any other small-town restaurant would be. It's obvious they're just going for a comfortable 'family style' feel, and that's easily achieved. I ordered one of the specials - the name of which still escapes me - but it was essentially a large rolled up lasagna. Apparently it was supposed to contain ham, but I never saw a trace of that. Still, the homemade pasta was good, and the two sauces covering the dish made for some nice bread-work after the meal. We had a piece of tiramisu for dessert (how can you not?) and it met my expectations, though it wasn't something I'll tell stories about. We had a birthday celebration on a Saturday night, and this place was jumping! Dishes ordered included Fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, Steak Marsala, seafood pasta, and sausage and peppers. The children's menu included spaghetti, pizza and chicken nuggets. There was something on the menu for everyone, from 3 to 91! Be sure to save room for the chocolate cake, even if you are only celebrating the weekend. Good news - there's no waiting in line. Bad news - the food is so so and the wait staff is not very friendly. We were there on a Tuesday, and there were never more than 15 people in the restaurant. My food was warm, not hot. I asked for the one brand of beer I recognized on the menu, and they had none. However, the staff felt free to pepper me with substitutes. I didn't get the feeling they were being helpful. I got the feeling they wanted to run up the bill. What's with the flashing "OPEN" sign in the window? Adds a truck stop flavor to the building. When I first started coming here (before Covid), it was a nice little spot. I enjoyed family dinners here a handful of times. I'm not sure what's happened in the last few years, but it's not the same at all. I was honestly horrified at the filth. My water glass had mold growing in it, the tables weren't clean, the bathrooms were terrible plus no soap/paper. Salt/pepper shakers empty, very slow and strange service, the food was also not good and I didn't finish it. We were looking for some great Italian food while visiting the QC. Unfortunately this place came up as just average for me. The place was short staffed and the service was long and slow. People actually were walking out due to the service. We weren't in a hurry so we stuck it out. The Filus Malbec was a wonderful wine to start the night. The Insalata Di Cesare was the starter. This is an excellent salad, perfect romaine lettuce and Cesare dressing. Unfortunately the croutons were definitely stale. I would have liked some ground pepper and fresh grated cheese. I choose the Fettucine Al Alfredo with Chicken and an Italian Sausage link. First they give you chopped up chicken that is definitely a tiny chicken, because there wasn't much chicken. The pasta was great, but there was very little Alfredo sauce so it was very dry and no the sauce was not at the bottom, it was very minimal. The sausage was OK, but seamed more bratwurst than Italian sausage. The Lemon Cake was good, ice cold and fresh from the refrigerator. Having worked in some restaurants myself, I learned some serve fresh dessert, some serve frozen. Never serve it cold, serve it room temperature and skip the frozen and make it fresh which I learned brings people back. This place needs to step up to the plate and serve some Italian food, maybe it's because they have no competition in the area, but this place definitely fell short of great Italian food. I know Iowa has great Italian food, like Des Moines and Cedar Rapids!! These folks need to take a road trip. read more

My flight was cancelled and I was about to start a 12 hour fast for a work health screening the next day so I wanted to get a big meal in to tie me over. My mom had pointed this place out to me earlier in the day on the way to the airport so it was meant to be. The place was pretty empty with only a couple other full tables in our section. Shortly after being seated we were brought a full loaf of bread and two pieces of what appeared to be bruschetta or something similar. I probably could've attacked that loaf of bread but I wanted to have room for my meal and also dessert. We ordered the Insalata Alla Caprese to split for our appetizer - it was fresh and delicious. For main courses, I ordered the chicken parmesan and my mom ordered grilled chicken. Hers looked refreshing and healthy. Mine was good, but nothing to write home about. There wasn't much flavor to the chicken so I ended up pulling most of the breading off. The spaghetti with red sauce was pretty tasty though. We saved just enough room to split the tiramisu for dessert. If I lived in the area, I'd check this place out again but order a different main course next time. read more

Nice atmosphere with big groups and smaller tables. The Secondi I had Jumbo Shrimp with sea scallops, artichokes, mushrooms and tomato could easily be shared 3-4 if you want to keep it lite assuming you want space for a dessert or just traditional family style.
