I am amazed at the quality, professionalism and timeliness of service that I received from Olympic Plumbing Technology. My first contact over the phone was friendly and courteous. During this covid-19 lock down I was expecting an appointment several weeks out, but I got an appointment for the following week. A day before the appointment, I was sent a text with the time of arrival and a picture of the service technician doing the repair. I was greatly surprised and appreciated knowing who to expect. The service technician (Travis J Justice) called with an estimated arrival time and upon arrival was friendly, professional and gave a quote before starting the job Travis wore his mask at all times and completed the work quickly while doing excellent work and his work looks great. We called Olympic Plumbing a few days ago when we discovered a pipe in our basement leaking onto our basement floor. Other plumbing companies told us they couldn't come out for three days, or they simply didn't return our calls. Olympic Plumbing sent someone out that morning to address the problem. While there was a delay in the plumber's schedule, they called to let us know they would be late (a little flexibility is necessary, especially on a last minute call such as ours, so we certainly didn't hold it against them). Not only did Olympic fix our problem quickly, they gave us great information about how to maintain our old pipes to keep things running smoothly. This company was hired to work on the plumbing for one of my neighbors. We received a notice from our association letting us know that the water would be turned off between 1-4. The water was not turned back on until after 6 pm. The problem started when they were not at the work site ready to start work at 1 pm. The plumber then spent a lot of time on the cell phone. If he was trying to find parts he should of had someone in the office assisting as time was of the essence. read more

This company is very illegitimate. They came out to a home I was working on, dragged my time out for 2 weeks straight and then finally gave me a high-ball bid. Okay, I thought, I'll pay for quality. Then, when I reasoned to not pay 50% down before anything had been done. Denae, the "finance manager" was very rude and initially agreed for us to pay within 30 days of completion. She then lazily contacted L&I, because that's who our larger contract was for, and didn't try very hard to find our qualifying information. She asked 1 or 2 questions to the wrong department, and then decided to retract the bid we had been stressing over to get. All of this because she lacked the competency to call the proper department within L&I. We then went out of our way, spending hours on the phone to find out what went wrong, which led us to find out it was an annoyingly simple mistake that anyone with any business skill could have troubleshooted. We finally got her in contact with the proper department...and she still kept the bid retracted. This is all very unprofessional and a waste of our time. I would highly recommend finding yourself a better plumbing company to work with that won't flake off and waste your valuable time. read more

I had a pretty serious issue with my septic line, and when I called Olympic Plumbing Technology and explained that 'we can't use our toilets,' they came right over. They were prompt, efficient, and courteous. The bill was very reasonable, and I feel as I received outstanding over-all service. And, yes, the toilet once again flushes. Sometimes when you call a service company, you wonder to yourself it they're going to stick it to you. Not with these folks. I keep their number handy should I ever need help with ANY plumbing needs. I had them install a on-demand water heater. They were excellent in every way. The technition that came to my house was very knowledgeable, friendly, and I think honest. He gave me several options and told me things that were true but could have resulted in me going with a cheaper option. The best thing is their bid came in at thousands less than the contractor Home Depot referred to me! That was for exactly the same water heater. They did this by not selling me add-ons I didn't need, and having much lower installation costs. They were on time for the installation, and did a very professional job. read more

I can easily recommend this company to anyone. 1). They came to my house 5 miles outside of Olympia and gave me a "free" estimate without charging me for a "trip" charge. 2). Their estimate was specific to my situation and not a "blanket" charge for any plumbing outside the house. Therefore, it was 2/3rds the price of another company. 3). They completed the job exactly as promised. When my concrete sidewalk was thicker than expected they just cut it without wanting to change the estimate that they had given me. 4). The two men that came to my house including Mike were calm, to-the-point, professional and extremely respectful. 5). The receptionist was equally eager to help me in scheduling appointments. 6). Beware! This business does not quote or charge hourly rates. Instead they have a slick approach that puts the customer at a disadvantage. Here is how it works: Call them to request a repair. You'll be told that it will cost you $85 to have someone come out and diagnose the problem. After looking at the tech will give you an outrageous "flat rate" quote. At that point you will probably accept it because they are there, and you want it fixed. But if you are like me, it will leave you feeling fleeced. My example is a yard hydrant installation (just a faucet on an iron pipe) that took 30 minutes. I supplied the hydrant. I was charged $353! My receipt lacked any information whatsoever about the time it took, or the cost of parts (in this case the parts were simple water pipe fittings - about $5). I used to use this business a lot (I'm an investor). They were not predatory in the past. They are now. My advice - steer clear and go with a plumber who charges by the hour. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the tech did seem like a decent fellow (and he's just doing what he's told re: charges). read more

Had a leak first noticed by my 1st floor tenant when he noticed a wet spot forming on his ceiling. We cut a hole in the downstairs bathroom ceiling and could see that the main pipe had a slow drip but couldn't determine where it was coming from. I called Beetle Boys Construction on a friend's recommendation who wrote up a 3000$ + estimate and diagnosed the leak as coming from the apartment directly above the leak. They told me it was from the upstairs toilet, even though there was no evidence that the toilet was indeed leaking. The toilet was dry and didn't cause any dripping when flushed many times. No other possibility was even thought of. I felt very unsure of the Beetle Boys and sought out another opinion. Luckily I happened upon Olympic Plumbing Technology and got Tracy to come the same day (within a couple hours of my first call to them). He looked at the pipe which at that time had no signs of leaking, checked the toilet above the leak and ruled out that being the problem and then asked to see the upstairs apartment to the left where he quickly diagnosed the problem. The problem was from a broken tub spout which when turning on the shower was very obvious. The Beetle Boys did not even look there prior to writing out their 3K estimate! Tracy fixed the problem and was out the door in less than an hour. I saved $2800+. Very grateful that I found Tracy who obviously is extremely knowledgeable and also a very nice person to work with. Olympic Plumbing Technology (OPT) replaced 2 standard height toilets with the Kohler ADA-compliant high seat toilets and French Curve seats that I'd requested. I had a question a few weeks later about the water draining. Dell, the installer, came out first. Then Ron came and suggested a simple test to check things out. Both were patient, professional, and genuinely interested in resolving my question. OPT also replaced a bad garbage disposal with a very nice one. I put most organics through the disposal so mine get used a lot. Ron installed it. I spent 12 years working in people's homes as a contractor. I'm extremely fussy about how my home is treated by contractors. They easily exceeded my high expectations for cleanliness and respect for my home. Kimberly manages the administrative side and serves as the initial contact with the company. I couldn't ask for a nicer, kinder, friendlier person to work with. She treats customers with friendly professionalism. And she calls back when she says she will. The folks at OPT do what they say they're going to do, when they say they're going to do it, they do it well, and they follow up to answer questions or concerns right away. We called to get a gas line set up for our new deck. We already had a gas line installed with our old deck, so it only required an extension of that gas line to a new spot. It was outside only work. We had also bought a toilet we wanted installed. Here's what we were billed: Standard Toilet Install 2-PC Customer Supplied. Removed existing toilet and install customer supply and toilet with new wax seal and supply line flushed five times tested no leaks properly flushes: $269.50 Install 20 feet half inch CSST gas pipe with valve* for grill. Removed existing gas pipe installed stainless steel tubing with new valve and flange to specified location on deck tested no leaks. *he used the same valve we already had. $320.00 Total w/ tax: $617 25' of CSST gas pipe goes for $45 at Home Depot. A wax ring costs $6.50. Total time on the job was less than 4 hours. They wouldn't provide a breakdown on labor as we requested, but you can do the math. When you only see 5* reviews and such glowing praise (great technician, great customer service fantastic, outstanding over-all service, "we called and they came right over"), you have to wonder. read more
