He was super nice, on time, and wore his mask the whole entire time. This is when amazing stuff started to happen....Phil showed up!!! What a great guy and is very knowledgeable about his hot water tanks, heat pumps, and furnaces. I totally was in awe of him. This company is very lucky to have him. Wow, I can't recommend this company enough!!! From the day tour furnace died to the day it was replaced everyone was wonderful to work with. The ladies in the office are so friendly and knew me by name when I stopped by. Randy handled the quote and was so sweet and easy to work with. Made me feel assured every step of the way. Showed me every single option we had for replacements and made sure we knew what to expect. Phil did an amazing job with the actual replacement. Walked me through the new system and I think my garage was cleaner when he left than when he arrived. Had a furnace issue, Heater kept on going out. They wanted over $200 for a service call and charged me mileage on an 8 mile trip. The office called a few days later and told me it would cost over $400 in parts and labor. I asked them to email me the estimate, they would not. I am a retired engineer so after the technician left I troubleshooted the problem and a $20.00 new thermostat fixed the problem. This company is dishonest. read more

Pacific Air Heating and Air Conditioning tried to take advantage of me. My furnace stopped working right at the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine, so I fearful of having multiple vendors come out for repair quotes. After Pacific Air tried to scam me (see full story below) I ended up having my furnace fixed by another company for less than the diagnostic fee paid to Pacific Air. My furnace stopped working in March of 2020, I called Pacific Air and they sent out a technician the next day. The tech determined the motherboard was fried and needed to be replaced, but said he did not recommend this option. The tech quoted me $1,200 (plus the diagnostic fee I paid of $130) for a repair and suggested I get a quote on a new furnace based on the cost to fix and issues with the furnace (builder grade, not setup properly, etc,) implying the fix was not worth it. He said there was no guarantee it would even work and that it was an old junk furnace (the house and furnace is ten years old). Oddly enough the furnace began working again after it was looked at but I still went through with the second appointment to get a quote for a new system - just in case this was a fluke or random. The second tech came over and tried to up sell me on a new furnace and air conditioner. They trump up the cost of repair and basic replacements and bundle deals together with easy financing options to trick you into the up sell. The quote I was given was $8000 for a new furnace and $12000 for the furnace and air conditioner. They even had monthly payments figured out for you which were way lower than other options if you got the full $12000 package as it was spread over a longer period of time. The tech had multiple banks and credit unions on call to run a credit check for you. They have a soft sales pitch/pressure to make you think you really need this expensive option and that they're giving you such a great deal. After Pacific Air left, I called someone else to discuss the quotes and options. The furnace was at this point working mysteriously again, despite being told it was fried. The end of the story is my furnace cost $100 for a new part and less than ten minutes of labor. I am disgusted with Pacific Air and this business model. It is deceptive at best and downright scammers at worst. What a time to be taking advantage of people and trying to up sell air conditioners. The sad thing is, I had a previous experience with Pacific Air doing an install of air conditioners and was considering them for an air conditioner install at my new house. Now that I have seen how horrible they are with repair calls, I won't ever use them again. If you want air conditioner, they are probably no worse than any other company but for repairs, you're better off calling literally anyone else. read more

Last Friday, I woke to my house being 63 degrees. I had to leave for a while but returned around 3:30 pm and realized my furnace wasn't working. I called a number of places and two agreed to come Saturday morning to diagnose the problem. One was Pacific Air for $250. The other was $285. I was disappointed that I would have to wait until Saturday as temps at night at that time were in the 30s. Pacific Air then called me back and said they would send someone Friday night. Eric showed up around 7:30 pm, diagnosed the problem and was able to restore heat in the meantime, although not ideally as the fan would need to run 100% of the time but he informed me of that. It took a few days to get the part in but Eric returned today and got everything 100% back. I really appreciated that they heard me about being in a freezing house and getting someone out late on a Friday night. It cost a fortune but I suspect anyone else would also charge exorbitant prices based on the other company being $35 more expensive just for the diagnosis. I hope I never need them again but if I need someone, I would call them. read more

what's worse than 30 degree weather and your heater going out? 30 degree weather; no heat and a medical emergency. We thought we'd have to wait several days due to health care commitment/appointments getting in the way, but Theresa took care of us - got Eric into to fix the problem - and wow, we had heat! Eric explained every little step; what was going (or not); what was needed (and why) and gave tips for future furnace care. This first encounter was a real de-compressor. Service was quickly scheduled within a day when my gas furnace stopped heating! The Tec was even early and was able to find a loose wire in a matter of minutes! Causing a lower voltage, he could have just replaced the entire regulator but he saved me money by just fixing the issue! Highly recommended this company! read more

I purchased a complete new system from them, the air compressor and the air handler. The installation guys are great, but their management lacks behind. They told me I can get more than 1k in rebate from PSE, but they failed to provide me with the required documentation. It has been a week since I called and nothing happened... My furnace went out in the middle of a blizzard at 4 pm or so on a Sunday (today). I called Pacific Air and spoke to Jim who sent Phillip out to my home within an hour and a half. Phillip fixed it in minutes. Now there's heat again. I wasn't even charged the $250 diagnostic as I am a PAC member. I was pleased with their work before, but now am a 100% loyal customer. Pacific Air may be good for others, but I'm sorry to say it didn't work out for us. There were some pluses so I don't doubt that some may have good experiences w/the company. The negative part was mostly with our Pacific Air tech that visited & our perception of his diagnostic skill level, and also on how the company does pricing. Jacqi from the office was very professional & also reassuring with us, which is nice when your house is cold and you need help. So she's a keeper, if management is reading this. She did send someone out same day, which is a plus too. Also when we found we preferred a different repair company before they'd ordered the parts & notified them we'd continue w/the 2nd company, they were professional & no drama cancelling any invoice for future work & not pressuring us at all. (This was after the Pacific Air tech came out & diagnosed & we paid that fee.) The tech that came was nice which is good but we didn't get the impression that he was an expert at his craft. He was here a long time and the most memorable part for me was when he was pulling out & putting in these wires from the main board and it kept sparking a lot each time he did it. (I later learned those wires are for the blower which was working fine.) Anyway I know the other company got it working for just one part replaced and a way lower fee. The other company made an adjustment during the first visit which meant we could safely run/use the heat in the short term, whereas the Pacific Air tech didn't discover/ make that adjustment and so he had us to leave the heat off, then we'd have to wait the 2-3 business days (with a cold house, cold fingers, cold pets) for the new parts to come to them. This tech from Pacific Air also thought we needed the inducer replaced (a very expensive part) & the other company did not agree w/the readings the Pacific Air tech had noted & said our inducer worked fine. So in going w/the other company we got working heat for under $200 whereas going w/Pacific Air it would have been over $1000 beyond what we had already paid for the initial diagnosis, plus extra days of a cold house. Pacific Air's tech said we needed two parts replaced at least, whereas the other company made one adjustment and thought only one of those parts needed replacing which he ordered that same day and put in the very next day. Also the other company didn't charge us extra for cleaning as they just did it while they were there diagnosing, so that was another savings w/the other company. Then the pricing policy difference. I admit I'm old school so maybe the way Pacific Air does it is very common, but they pad their labor pricing into the parts cost when it's listed on your invoice, so you can't wrap your brain around how much you're paying for each. I prefer the straightforward parts cost plus hourly labor fees (divided into quarter hours when needed) of the other company. So there are some very upstanding things about Pacific Air, but all things considered they are not for us. read more

We had an urgent need to re-vent our water heater because of an unexpected roofing/chimney dilemma I called everyone in town and no one was able to come out quickly except these guys and one other place. Mike from Pacific Air was very easy to work with. He gave me a quick estimate that was MUCH cheaper than the other place and within a day they came and did the work. They totally saved us. I had someone come to my house, spend over an hour discussing the work we wished to have done and then stated he would send us a quote. A week goes by and I have not received anything so I call Pacific Air and am informed someone will contact me by Monday, and no one does. I call back again and explain what has happened, the man I speak to states he will contact the technician that came out and call me back. I get an email from the technician apologizing for the delay, but no quote (and no call from the man I spoke to). I respond to said email asking for the quote. Another week goes by so I call again and explain what happened, feeling very frustrated and mostly just to inform someone of the ridiculousness that has happened, then I receive a call from the technician, but still there is no quote. I ask the technician to send me the quote and when I get an email a few hours later the quote is not at all what we discussed in the first place. I cant believe that a company can stay afloat operating like this, I do not wish this horrific runaround for anyone. read more

Had Pacific Air come out to the house in October 2017 to do preventative maintenance on our Bryant gas furnace. The tech was here about 20 minutes and reported all was well. I was skeptical that quality work was done. This past week, February 2018 the furnace quit with a fault code that I was able to determine with some effort, but not much, was a plugged condensate trap. It was very dirty, so no, it did not plug up since the technicians visit in October and should have been determined by the maintenance. $120 down the drain for that "preventative maintenance"! read more

Last year our furnace stopped working. We called Pacific Air who sent a guy over. He told me we would need a new system, a new circuit box, etc. The electrician was unavailable but he said he would send a sales representative (who would work a quote for all of it.) They also talked us into signing another maintenance agreement of $218. As we'd had them service our system before, we signed. While we waited for someone to show up, we decided to get a second opinion and called Narrows Heating. They came over, looked at it and found a bad relay. They replaced it (for a lot less money) and the system was fine. I called Pacific to cancel the contract and get my $218 back. They refused to refund it. I won't be using them again and I caution everyone else not to sign anything and get a second opinion. read more

I will NEVER do business with this company again! I would give it zero stars if I could; but it won't let me. I paid over $1400 a year ago to have this company come out and thoroughly inspect and fix everything with my furnace. It seems the furnace had been hooked up the wrong way when the house was built. Pacific Air was supposed to re-hook it up properly, do a thorough maintenance, and fix ANY problems related to the furnace. Again, I paid OVER $1400 to have this done. Just one year later, I had a different HVAC company come out to clean and service the furnace and they found a roll of duct tape just sitting in the furnace and then they found there was insulation in the duct work. The other company wants to charge a lot of money to remove the insulation. I contacted Pacific Air since I had just paid them over $1400 to fix EVERYTHING with the furnace and since the insulation was in the duct work, obviously, they did not fix everything. A Pacific Air tech came out and took a look at it and the insulation is right there in the duct work right where the furnace meets the ceiling in the garage. And the tech even said, "All they had to do was push it aside". I spoke with Mike and he said that they will charge me to come out and fix it AND he will not even give me a price that he will charge!!! First of all, they did shoddy work (leaving a roll of duct tape just lying in the furnace), AND I paid them to fix EVERYTHING with the furnace. All Mike said was, "well that tech is no longer working for us". So this tech's mess up is my problem and I have to pay for it? I will NEVER do business with this company again. EVEN if they did not cause the insulation to move into the duct work, they should have caught it during the servicing of the furnace - I mean it is RIGHT there where the furnace meets the garage ceiling. And now, THEY WILL NOT EVEN GIVE ME A PRICE of how much they would charge me to come out and fix what was their mistake (overlooking an obvious obstruction of insulation). I am beyond angry that I spent OVER $1400 with this company and they did such a poor job. Now I will have to pay yet another company to fix it right. Such poor work and such poor customer service!!!! read more
