This review is long overdue. I came here for several years, and I left traumatized. Dr. Jorn is very aggressive with your teeth especially during teeth cleaning. He does not explain what he's going to do before doing it. All this to say, I couldn't build up the courage to go back to the dentist this past year. Best Dental Place Ever! this office has a feng shui feel to it w/ the walls being all curvey. interior has a modern look which is great. Dr. Olimpiada is a young dentist who's really funny and nice. His assistants are very friendly too. Dental visits anywhere will always be dreaded but you'll at least have a nice experience here. the dentist tends to conversate alot and gives tips on how to avoid pain. we would definetly recommend this place to those of you in need of a good dentist! read more

So far, so great! Had my first ever visit/cleaning done by Dr. Olimpiada today. Even after I had lunch right after my visit my teeth still feel super clean. I had no expectation cause my last dentist was honestly pretty good too, I trusted him a lot, but I liked the reviews & location & just thought I'd give this one a try. Well, happy me! He's very sweet & not scary at all for those who need a gentle touch. During the cleaning, he kept asking if I was okay & guided me by responding when I showed sensitivity to a pain free comfortable spot, which was awesome. Went to the dentist for the first time in 5 years and I was scared to death. I have been postponing and dodging the days I had to see the dentist until now. I had a tooth that was scratching and poking my tongue so I gave a call in the morning to set up am appointment and they said I could come in the very same day. When I got to the office I was sent right in within a few minutes. They took an X-ray of my teeth and found out a lot of problems from cavities, root canals, chip teeth, no fillings, and more. When the doctor came in and looked at my chart he told me what needed to be done and how young I was with all these problems. He told me he had to do a root canal that day and I was afraid because all the rumors I heard about root canals but HONESTLY Dr. Olimpiada was good that I fell asleep during parts of the procedure. He always ask me if I was okay and if I felt pain. And when I did he put more numbing for my mouth. Dr. Olimpiada is very nice and truly cares about his patients. Go to him!! You won't be disappoint. Trust me , this is coming from a guy who is afraid of the dentist for 21 years of my life till I met Dr. Olimpiada. I will for sure come again without no hesitation! I started going to this office after a long absence from any dentist, and they were all very pleasant and did not make me feel guilty about it. They calmly explained to me each procedure and all my options so that I could take into account financial factors and considerations for future services. This office has only one dentist, so it's great in that sense as it is often the case that only one person is being worked on at a time (so you don't have to listen to other people and whatever procedures they may be going through). I never have to wait very long, and the procedures go by fairly quickly. The assistants are all very friendly and happy to chat with you if you are in the mood for it. Appointments can be made with pretty short notice - often I can see the dentist about a week after I call to make an appointment. Very convenient, especially if you think you're starting to get a cavity! Also, I believe this office can accomodate both Tagalog and Spanish-speakers. Call ahead to check first, though. Dr. Olimpiada is a super-friendly guy, very relaxed, and happy to make jokes. I've never really had any pain whenever I visit, and he's always quick to ask if he suspects you might be hurting so that he can readjust to make you more comfortable. I really like going to this dentist and have already recommended it to my brother who seems to enjoy it as well. It's also close to the Bayfair BART station. About a 5-10 min. walk to the office. After years of neglecting my teeth, I decided I needed to take better care of them.. And what's the first step to doing that? GOING TO THE DENTIST!! Like most people, I get overwhelmed with too many choices.. Who do you go to? Are they good? Is it worth the drive out? On the recommendation of one of my best friends (who is also been a Yelp ELITE since 2010, so she knows what she's talking about) , I decided to try Olympics Dental Care. Conveniently located off 880, it's easily accessible. I came in a little early since it was my first time in, and I knew there was some paperwork that would be involved. Greeted by a smile and warm demeanor by the front desk, I got to it! A few minutes later, the technician was out and took me to get some x-rays done. Once those were done, I went to sit in the exam chair (dun, dun,dunnnnn...) Dr. Olimpiada came in after looking at my x-rays and (by some miraculous twist of fate), he said my teeth, gums, and bone looked healthy... So, on to the cleaning! I knew it would hurt, like they usually do, but was anticipating more pain since it had been probably a decade since I had them cleaned last.. Dr. Olimpiada explained the process again, and began. The thing I appreciated most about it was that he was checking in with me the whole time to make sure I was doing ok. By the end of it, I felt like I had a brand new set of teeth (think of getting into a car with that "new car" smell) And the clincher??? THEY HAD SENIORITA BREAD IN THE LOBBY! (Not the usual occurrence, but one of their patients had dropped some off for the office. Again, goes to show that customer service and patient care is top priority here!) What can I say about Olympics Dental and Dr. Olimpiada. My family has been coming here for over 7 years now and even though I am a big scaredy cat, I know that I will get over that within minutes of being seen. This office is so calm and Dr. Olimpiada and his staff make you feel comfortable, if you are not they will do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable. The Dr. pulled a tooth before I even had time to freak out and I didn't even know it. I came here for a cleaning on my first visit and was out in about 30 minutes. I also was told that one of my molars might need a crown and that he was going to check with my insurance to see if I was covered before he went in. I was explained everything on the spot and didn't leave with any questions. We had light conversation and the dentist was very pleasant. Dr. Olimpiada is fablous! Read the reviews and was a bit hestitant in going due to there only being 2 reviews. I have two daughters (11 yr and 5 yr old). I was a bit concerned that my 5 yr old would have a hard time but glad to have gone. Dr. Olimpiada was very gentle and kind towards my daughter and made her feel at home. He allowed her to roam about and answered her inquisitve questions. The office is small but very nicely decorated and has a welcoming feel to it. There are television sets which is a great plus for those who have children. This definitely helped entertain my children while they waited their turns. I am glad I made the switch to Dr. Olimpiada! I've switch from 2 dental offices and it was the best decision to come here at Olympic. Doctor Jorn & staffs are very professional & friendly. I always wanted to get my braces done and all the other doctors I've been to, had the same method was to extract some teeth then put braces on but Jorn can fix it without extracting my real teeth out which mean I don't have to suffer and cost less. Extracting teeth can cost extra out from your pocket depending on your insurance. I'm so glad I waited till I met doctor Jorn to get my braces done which I don't have to lose my real teeth in my case and very satisfied with the result. read more

Dr. Olimpiada has been my dentist for a few years now. Seems like my dental work is never ending with caps, fillings, and most recently, a root canal (ugh!). You're vulnerable when you're in a dentist chair but the doc and his staff have always made me feel at ease and comfortable. I wouldn't go here. I went here and they told me I needed over 20K worth of work which included bone grafts, etc. I'm the type who goes to the dentist twice a year so it had not been years since my last visit. I used to work for a dental office who would tell people they needed work which wasn't necessary just to get the money. This place is that place. I saw all the signs when I was getting my x-rays done and sitting there listening to Dr. O tell every single person the same thing he told me. I don't even know those were really my x-rays or not. The funny part about all of this is they NEVER called me back for another appointment after my cleaning. It was probably for the best. I went to another Dentist and he stated this place was into scamming patients. I didn't need hardly any of the work he suggested. The funny part was he asked me if any tooth was bothering me and I told him. He said he couldn't find anything. I had a cavity. I hope this place goes down in flames......to hell. read more
