Upon entering, I was told to sign in so I did and I wrote Laxmi as my "preferred artist" (because she is the one everyone recommended on Yelp). However, I guess no one looks at the the sign in sheet, because the older lady with the glasses told me to have a seat and went to work...She didn't ask me what shape I wanted or even what service I was in for, she just started threading away. I wish I had asked if she was "Laxmi" but I didn't.... what I did get, however was a tiny cut under my left eyebrow due to aggressive threading and a jagged right eyebrow due to aggressive cutting. I have had my eyebrows threaded for the last ten years and honestly it never really hurts. This was the first place I have ever cried. Her pulls were so jerky and painful... Eventually she noticed my tears because she stopped and asked if I were okay. I was ready to pay and leave with the cut and the jagged eyebrow but the other young girl (again not Laxmi but the girl in the middle chair) stepped in and attempted to fix the older lady's work. If you go here, wait for Laxmi or the other young girl. If the older lady with the glasses tells you to have a seat at her chair, politely decline. read more

I have tried MANY threading places in the South Bay and I've never left a place so happy! Place: easy to find, very clean (which is extremely important to me), back parking lot and nice chairs for waiting area. Service: I waited for Laxmi because of her high reviews, but I did notice other girls getting their eyebrows threaded by someone else and their eyebrows looked great too! Laxmi is awesome. I was staring at my face in the mirror, thinking out loud if I should just get my entire face threaded for a fresh look. She looked at me and said that I barely I have any hairs and that they were so light. What I appreciate is that she didn't take advantage of the opportunity to get more money from me. She gave me her honest opinion. I admire that so much, and because of that, I will definitely be returning. In addition to that, my eyebrows turned out amazing! She made them even and kept them thick. I recommend growing out your eyebrows (if you can and are willing to look rough for a couple weeks) and then going to her. Omg RUBY! She did an amazing job on my eyebrows. I've been growing my eyebrows out for about 3-4 months the last lady I seen chopped them in half. Ruby told me what areas she would grow out and not touch. I paid $15 for both my eyebrows and lip which is a bit more than what I've paid in the past but the place is very clean so it's worth the extra $3 I paid. Can't wait to see ruby again! read more

This place is hard to find if you're not really paying attention. However, I will say when you do find it you won't regret it. I have been going to Panache in Hermosa Beach for the last year and don't get me wrong, they do great work. I am extremely picky about how I like my eyebrows to be done and so I was very nervous to try someone new. After reading the other reviews I sucked it up and went through with it. My friend told me about this place when she needed to find a place because our eyebrow threading shop closed and I'm so glad she did! I love coming here. I went to a place after my regular eyebrow threading place closed and they ruined my brows. They made them super thin and I looked ridiculous. This place fixed them perfectly and now my brows look better than ever. There's two women that work here (there could be more but they are the only two I ever see) and they're both really nice and really good at threading brows. They even often ask if you're okay and if they're hurting you. They accept card and cash and they have a lot behind the building. They have an entrance behind the shop and in front of the shop by the street. I believe there is also street parking in front at certain times but it's right by where people turn from Western to PCH so I don't know if I'd want my car there. read more

Great shape...which is wonderful.....my brows were a little crooked and the girl kept the,thick while starting the rescaling process to even them out. My only complaint is there was nothing used to clean the area before or after and I broke out all above my eyebrows for about a week from bacteria. This has happened from waxing before....but NEVER threading. It's hard to be proud of your amazingly shaped brows when your skin directly surrounding them is a hot mess. read more

This is one of the best eye brow threading places that I have discovered thus far. I live in LA, and it is so worth driving an additional 30 mins just to get to this place. I am very picky with eye brow threading places and I have not had to look into other places. I have been going here for almost 2 years. Laxmi will not just clean your eyebrows and make sure the shape is correct, but she will advise you on it. She really knows what she does. This is an AMAZING place and the price is good.
