Sadly, I have to downgrade my review, because I had the same experience as other reviewers: chipped, and then broken, nails. VERY disappointing, and also annoying. Every single set of previous gel nails have been indestructible. No chipped nails. No broken nails. Much more durable than acrylic or silk wrap. I just wanted a rebase, bit maybe that's not a thing? She removed the previous coating entirely, and replaced it with inferior product. Will not be returning. read more

This is the perfect neighborhood nail spot. They are normally able to accommodate you, the prices are reasonable. Going inside talking the employees it just feels very homey. It was also awesome to watch people come in and out and the lady working there knew everyone's name and would ask about their families. She did a great job on my nails! The gel lasted a long time even for gel and they just looked nice and clean. The pedicure was great! Also lasting quite a while and just looked really nice when it was done. I don't write much reviews. But I had couple things to say about this place. Decent service and pretty clean. Ladies who work there seems nice. They didn't have much selections on the gel colors compared to regular polishes. One of them weren't even available when I picked out the color. I wish they had a display nails for the colors. It was hard to pick out from only looking into the bottles. Service was nice. The nail lady told me the brand I picked doesn't last long and told me not to complain later. She could've told me that when I picked out the color, not as we apply them. I was originally going to give 4 stars but I had to take two out because they demanded cash for tip. Lady who paid ahead of me was able to pay tip with her credit card(like many other places do, and especially when you are paying in card already) but they didn't let me do that. They told me to go across the street and take cash out from an ATM. Took me like 10mins because the ATM machine was being funky. That didn't help my feeling about this place. My friend who used to live around the neighborhood gave them good review so I figured I' try it out. But I don't think I'll be going back. read more

betty khandu and maya rock and are always so meticulous. i appreciate that they paint the tips of the nails on top of just the flat part to seal in the polish and make sure it's less likely to chip. I always come here...the polish lasts a really long time for me always somehow despite being really rough with them but my nails grow really fast so I go back more like once every ten days... that's my excuse anyway hahaha that and the addicting head and chair massages!!! read more

I decided to go to this nail salon because the powder nails were $40 and the pedicure is $24 which seemed cheap for the city & the reviews seemed good. But, I completely regret my decision. First of all my pedicure was poorly done, there were bumps and my pedicure chipped 2 days later. Along with that, my powder gel manicure was good until my nails literally all chipped the next day. If I got regular polish this would be expected, but I paid $40 for powder gel which usually lasts me 3 weeks - a month. I will never go back to this salon. Also when i called to complain, they pretended they did not understand what I was saying and when I left another message asking for the manager to call me back no one responded! I'm very upset with my service. I got a dip powder manicure and with in a few days the powder was lifting and cracking. I went back 1 week later to see if they would re do it and they gave me such a hard time, they blamed it on the color saying that light pink color peels. Then they blamed on the fact that my nails grew and that cracked the powder. Then they blamed it on the fact that I use water and wash my hands a lot. At first they tried to take a few layers of the powder off and then add new layers on top which looked terrible so they agreed to take off the powder and re do them. They did not take the powder off entirely or prep the nail properly, they didn't cut or file the nails and they didn't do the cuticles or use lotion ( all of this was fine because I thought they were just re doing them free of charge and treating it like a polish change essentially but then they charged me half the cost of the powder manicure! If I new they would charge me I would've just paid full price and had them done properly. This also took an hour and a half read more

Had a great experience here on my first visit. It was a great mani/pedi that was a great price and lasted forever. Second visit was a nightmare, and I am so bummed. The woman who did my pedicure seemed to not have any clue what she was doing. Not only did the pedicure take over an hour and a half, she didn't know how to use the tools, cut my nails horribly and got polish all over my toes. Worse yet, when I indicated I wasn't pleased they're only solution was to do it over again (I'd already been there for three hours, no thanks). I wouldn't come back here. I went in here with my daughter to get a new set of gel manicure. As soon as we walked in the woman sitting there in the front asked us if we had an appointment, no I do not, do I need one? I thought walk-ins were welcomed?? It's also the way you talk to that customer, it makes a big difference! When I sat down for her to soak and remove my old gel, the woman was complaining that it wasn't coming off. She was getting highly irritated. I don't know what her problem was. We just didn't feel welcomed. If you have an idea of trying a different salon than your previous one, don't! I don't even want to give them 1 star. Avoid at all cost! Don't ever go here they offer cheap poor quality manicures. I paid $36.50 for a gel manicure yesterday it has already chipped. I got it to go to a wedding so am not in town until 10/25 and so it cannot be fixed. A gel manicure should last 2 weeks not less than 1 day. Their service is awful. I called to let them know and ask if I could text a photo as proof and they had the audacity to hang up on me. Meh. I went in for a pedicure. I made an appointment and when I went in, the place was pretty empty. My pedicure was completely rushed - she rushed me to pick my color (mind you I came in a few minutes early so I can take my time to decide), and the pedicure was the fastest pedi job that I have ever had. When I walked into the salon, there was a woman who was getting a pedicure herself ( about half way done, getting her cuticles cut). How come I was able to get a complete pedicure and the woman beside me was still getting a lovely massage by the time I was nearly finished my nails? The area to dry your nails is so tight and small, it's almost impossible NOT to ruin your nails trying to squeeze yourself in there. When I tried to seat myself to dry my pedicure, I happened to knocked one of my nails. The woman tried to paint over it making it all clumpy and thick, let alone weird looking, and told me it was fine and to just leave it. Well, excuse you. She finally ended up taking it off completely and redoing it once I firmly told her that I wanted it redone. Not impressed, and I will not be back. I spent $67, not to mention 3 hours here, a couple weeks ago for a gel manicure and a pedicure. Within 4 days my gel manicure had lifted, and the next day the gel had cleanly peeled off all of my fingers. I have never had gel come off so cleanly in one piece...it was like it had never even been dried onto my nails. My nails were so smooth as if I did not have the gel on in the first place...normally when gel peels off, it takes a bit of the nail with it because you know it was actually on your finger. It was also an Essie polish that I had used a million other times at other salons. The polish from the pedicure had also pretty much come completely off my toes after a week. I cannot believe how much money I spent to not even get close to a full two weeks out of a gel manicure. read more

Really impressed! I went in on a Wednesday afternoon, zero wait time and a good selection of colors. While looking through polishes, two techs tried to help me pick a color, very friendly! The mani pedi was good, tools were not brand new but appeared clean. I did ask my tech to be really careful With one of my broken nails, and she wasn't very mindful of it, by tried her best after asking her a second time. I tried to use the yelp $10 off deal but was told they don't use it anymore and yelp Wouldn't allow them to take it off their page. Weird. Either way I paid about $25 for the mani pedi and am shocked to say, after five days On a vegas vacation, there's not even one chip on the polish! I tried on SO MANY colors because I couldn't decide and my nail technician was so patient and helpful in choosing. Ended up going with cocktail bling with a glittery coat of OPI. I used to love this place but I recently got a manicure pedicure that was just less than impressive. First of all, it took forever. The girl massaged my feet some and used the scrub gel but didn't scrub my feet at all. She also didn't cut my cuticles much at all even though she spent a lot of time trimming them. When it came to my manicure, she put way too many coats of polish and actually didn't really do it well. They look crookedly painted. Then she didn't give me a massage after which I know they do here because I've been here at least 20 times and saw all the other patrons getting massages. But wait, there's more. She rushed me out even though I was going to stay and let my nails dry longer. Once I got home, I kept making dents in my polish because there was just way too much and she didn't even let me stay until it was dry. Sad, really, because I used to come here all the time. I spent close to $100 for gel manicure, pedicure, tax, tip etc, just for my nails to chip instantly. I think they must be using very cheap products. This is fraud and shouldn't be allowed. A nail gem on the UES. I've been to other places in the area but nothing tops Om. Have been here quite a few times and have had nothing but a pleasant experience. The staff is pleasant, friendly, and efficient. Have brought friends here, gone early in the morning, smack in the middle of a weekend day, and later at night (they are open now 10am-10pm) and have had nothing but a pleasant experience every time. I wore complicated sandals by mistake twice (realizing my mistake post pedicure) and both times have actually been helped into my sandals and had the laces tied for me, all while dismissing my profuse apologies. Everyone is always very pleasant. My only complaint (barely a compliant) is that it is small and sometimes there is a wait but I always come back if that's the case. Definitely worth it. read more
