Everybody there was clearly a regular. I've gone to places before as a new customer and felt less important than the regulars ... I felt just as special as everybody else there so that was really very lovely. She took her time picking out a color with me and doing my nails. Absolutely not. A regular pedicure is $48 and a gel pedicure increases to $78. There is absolutely nothing about the pedicure I received that warrants a $30 increase. They are transparent about their pricing. Not a justification for it, though. I called before I went, as I'm on the hunt for a new local salon. I asked if they do acrylic and was told yes with gel. It must've been a language barrier issue because they do not do acrylic- just UV gel for $188. I've never had this done before and i didn't feel adventurous for such a steep cost. The dry skin on my heels wasn't even fully removed during my pedicure. I told the nail tech and she didn't say or do anything. They also did not have matching dip powder colors to the gel polish, which is shocking. I had to settle for white on my feet even though I really wanted my hands and feet to match. Finally, during my $105 dip powder with extensions manicure, the nail technician repeatedly checked her phone and stepped away a few times. They also dip your fingers directly into the powder. I see the owner stated in a previous review that they've done this for 10+ years, but that doesn't make it sanitary. Finally, there is no AC on and the doors are wide open. It may be done for ventilation, however it's summer. There has to be alternative methods available that also allow AC. I do not mind paying when the service aligns with what I receive. This wasn't the case and there are other comparable nail salons out there. I likely wouldn't return.

I get the same thing every time I get my nails done. Same color, same amount of coats, and same length; I have NEVER had a whole nail pop off or chip this badly one day after getting them done. It was also extremely uncleanly. I didn't see them sanitize a cuticle cuter or nail clipper before passing them from one customer to the next once. They also asked me to pay AND TIP before I even got the service done. I have never had a place ask me to tip them, let alone before the service was even completed before. Tipping is a complementary touch, which I always do. I paid $35 (plus the tip they asked me for upfront) for a manicure I will now have to redo myself one day after getting them done. Don't waste your time or money.

After searching through Yelp, I found One L and saw they practice my favorite manicure, Russian manicure. I booked a spot with Tim at their midtown location and off I went. I loved the vibe the moment I entered. I was greeted by first their friendly front desk staff and then my tech Tim. And then we got down to business. And, Tim meant business. He spent nearly an hour prepping and shaping my nails, looking at my nails from all angles to make sure they were in the optimal condition for the color to come. And, then the color application had the same level of meticulousness (even breaking out the small brushes to get right into the edges of the nail). And, when 90 minutes was done I had the glossy , beautiful fall nails of my dreams. And, what more could I ask for? See you next month, Tim!

After going to Miki, my nails became so strong and long, and people are always surprised when I tell them they are my natural nails, with no extensions or anything over them. She did my nails for my engagement, bridal, wedding, and baby shower, and I would not trust anyone else to do it for all my special occasions.
