I got a gel manicure and pedicure and I was out in about an hour, maybe an hour and 15 minutes. The vibe is relaxing. It's decorated modestly and it was nice and cool on a very warm day. I also have no idea why I've seen people complain about being charged more than what they were quoted. They quoted me $78 for a gel mani and regular pedi and I paid exactly that, plus tip, at the end of my service. No hidden fees, prices are clearly represented on the walls. Huge array of colors and varieties of gels, including color powder gel, which gives a deep, intense color and lasts a bit over 2 weeks! The woman quoted me a price higher than what was posted on multiple posters on the salon walls after I'd been in the week before and had exactly the same treatment for the price posted. When I brought it up, she refused to "see" the price posted--as in she looked at the poster and still quoted me the higher price. Also, they charge $2 for a quick-dry top coat, which is highway robbery considering every other nail salon offers it for $1. VERY rude ladies. Kicked me out of their establishment for no rhyme or reason. I understand if an appointment needs to be made but they did it in the most nasty manner. Last time I came the lady was rude as well, and the manicure had a cotton ball hair on my nail! She rushed me then and now to choose a color for my nails. I am a model so I have to choose the right color the client wants and no one should feel rushed when they are paying for a service. There is so many other good places to go in Manhattan. Went here because Yelp reviews talked about low prices, got an SNS manicure with tips and was charged $143 at the end. I didn't ask the price beforehand but saw that the menu said $53 for SNS manicure so figured it couldn't be much more than that. The manicure isn't even very good and I went to other salons nearby afterward to see what their prices were and the average was about $65. I went back to the salon to tell them again that I had been overcharged and they told me they gave me a discount by not charging me tax and that I should've asked the price beforehand. I've been here before and the service was fine, but the last time I came to get a simple gel manicure, one of the ladies were gossiping in Spanish about me and my friend. Not knowing that I'm a Latin American as well. I tried really hard to just play it off and be passive but it was really disrespectful. She made comments like, " She's not from around here so she's not going to leave a good tip." I usually like this nail salon and have gone many times. Rarely am I not 100% pleased...I am usually really happy however, I will never go back after today. I went in only to have the polish changed on my pedicure, the woman did not do a good job, the nails are not completely covered in polish there are many missed spots, my pinky toe is a disaster and they charged me $18! $18 to change the polish on nails is completely and utterly unreasonable. I could have bought two new bottles of polish and painted my nails myself. It also would've taken longer and more polish to repaint my long finger nails. It took less than 10 minutes for the whole ordeal. I am pretty upset by this and when I explained it to them they did nothing. Terrible customer service, terrible service to begin with. read more

I've been a customer for the last 6 months. And the last couple of months they have been going through some changes in the salon and the service is not the same. The last 3 times I have gone because I kept wanting to give them another chance, my service was always rushed. The last time I went I had a gel manicure. I go here every two weeks or so for a gel manicure and I've never been disappointed. My nails always come out clean, perfectly shaped and the gel lasts at least two weeks. I could probably go longer. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes and the customer service is great. At Christmas they even give out little gifts to the customers. I've had a few pedicures here also and have always had a great experience. Oh and they are priced very well for the area also. I highly recommend this place! read more

I always have a positive experience here: the staff is so friendly and I never have to wait that long (I always just walk in). My gel manicure easily lasts two weeks - sometimes longer and the pedicures are always top notch. They really spend time on getting things perfect and if you ever need something touched up, they never make you feel bad or like its a problem. I have actually never written a yelp review but feel compelled to after two poor experiences. I was looking for a new nail salon in the area and thought I would stop in. The first time I got a manicure with a lady who cut my cuticles so much I thought my nails were going to bleed. Even a day later they stung. Figuring it was a one-off situation, as the reviews for this salon are overall good, I decided to give them a second chance. The second time I had the same nail technician. I asked her to cut my nails a little bit, she told me "file is good". I asked that she cut them a bit as I typically like my nails on the shorter side. She cut them a small amount but proceeded to file them so short the tips of my fingers actually hurt. When I said I liked my nails on the shorter side I didn't mean I liked having no nails at all....needless to say I won't be coming back. read more

My visit to this place was not great at all. I do not recommend to anyone. At first they seemed so polite and friendly. The lady that took care of me complained the entire time about my ingrown toenail and how she couldn't take it out. So I decided that She should leave it how it was and I said I'd pay her for the amount of work that she had done so far. She charged me 15 dollars. But then she became so nasty as she walked towards the cash register, stating "waste of my time" " I did the work" etc.... so I said it's not a waste of time I'm paying you I'm just not happy with the amount of complaining you're doing it sounds like you're struggling and it's making me uncomfortable. Things escalated and the person in charge at the time did not handle the situation correctly. 1. Her staff is disrespectful with the side comments. 2. Tell your customers to not get involved. I don't recommend this place because they were unprofessional. To make matters worse there was a racist customer calling me names to be specific "ghetto" is the word she used. The right thing to do was to keep her comments to herself (the customer and the staff). It's not a waste of time if I'm paying you for the work that you did. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN. HORRIBLE worst nail Salon on UES. I went in for a Manicure and decided to get a pedicure as well. Bad decision. The woman that did my pedicure toyed with my feet as if she was giving a pedicure to a 4 year old I could barely feel her touching my feet. Ok granted I did not want to use the callus gel because of a cut on my heal but a little more scrubbing with a ("Real Pumice Stone") would have Ellminated most of the callus. The owner notice I was speaking with another woman that had just received a pedicure and noticed my unhappiness in the service so she put me back in the chair and scrubbed my feet the way they should have been. If you want a great pedicure find another salon or have the owner give you a pedicure if you decide to go here. Otherwise it's a waste of money. read more
