So excited to have a bahn mi place in the area! I used to go to Les Givrals on Saturday's and didn't think anyone could live up to their bahn mi but Om Nom Cafe did a great job! I went with my husband and a friend on a Saturday evening. There were a few groups who came in when we were leaving. They have a good selection of bahn mi - meats, tofu and egg. The thing that really stuck out to me was that instead of mayo like other places, they used garlic aioli which made a difference. The bread is very flaky and is a good ratio. After having been all around the greater Sugarland area looking for good Bahn Mí, this place definitely stands out. We got the Fried Tofu Bahn Mí, and the bread was toasted perfectly, the Tofu immensely flavorful, and the aoli a refreshingly garlicky delight. My perhaps only quarrel would be a lack of spice, but that may just be my taste buds :). Even better, for such immense flavor, the price was insanely reasonable. Having been to places like Vietwich that serve a very good Bahn Mí, but at a high price tag, Om Nom was like a breath of fresh air. I got the pork banh mi. It's pretty decent, but my only complaint is that the bread to filling ratio is off. Definitely more bread than filling, especially the meat. Considering the price point of just over $5, I would expect more meat. Otherwise, the flavor was good. I'd return whenever I'm in the mood for a decent banh mi. read more

Ordered the following..three banh mi sandwiches, pork rice dish, egg rolls, spring rolls, and vietnamese coffee with boba. My impression on the sandwiches are great! Got the chicken, the special, and just bread with pate and garlic butter. Definitely something to get again and so worth driving out there for. The rice dish was o.k. wasn't the best, had better. The rice wasn't as good and the pork was a little bit on the jerky side. The egg rolls were very good, spring rolls were not rolled as tight, not comparable to the ones in the pho restaurants. And the coffee was delightful, never had it before so I'm glad I finally tried vietnamese coffee for the first time! Really great customer service when calling ahead to order... my order was ready when I arrived and picked nicely ready to go! Super tasty selection of sandwiches and small plates plus all the drinks I've tried are great! The sandwiches kept their heat and a nice crunch until I got home and toppings were well distributed. We Saw this little place last week when I was in the area and decided to give it a try as the sandwich looks really nice in the picture. As I expected, the sandwich turned out delicious. Me and my sis ordered the grill pork and bulgogi beef to share. The "Banh mi" definitely taste authentic with the very crunchy bread that stayed warm until the last bite. Egg roll and coconut shrimp are also delicious. The only reason I'm giving 4 star is the matcha Latte is not as expected. It is powdery and the flavor is not very good. However as matcha is one of our favorite drink and we are quite picky on the drinks so it was no night. Overall the experience is very enjoyable! Glad to find an Asian place that serves decent food! I had the egg Banh Mi and the vietnamese iced coffee. The banh mi was pretty good/fresh, and I like the egg and bread. The sauces they put in is also pretty good. Was the banh mi comparable to my favorite? No, it's not, but it's probably the best in Richmond, Texas (in the vicinity of Aliana/Waterview/Harvest Green area) as of now. The Vietnamese iced coffee was real smooth, but I felt because it was so creamy, it wasn't similar to the Vietnamese drip coffee I like which is very bold. They have other drinks, and I think I will give the other drinks a try the next time! I see that they have other snack items (which all look very interesting) and some entrees like rice plates and vermicelli. I am surprised that they did not have pho. The place is clean, and it is located in a new strip right across from the high school. I would bet it would be a popular place for students! Anyhow I'm glad I tried this place, and I will be back to try other items soon! read more

We tried this place tonight and it was so delicious!! We got the tofu banh mi sandwiches and the fried tofu rice dish. The rice and tofu was very flavorful! Sandwiches were amazing- loved how crispy and full of flavor it was. We will definitely be coming here regularly :) so glad Richmond has this in our city. So glad there's a Bahn mi place like 5min for my work. I ordered the bulgogi beef, pork bahn mi and a Thai tea to go. It's a bit pricey but i was craving it so i pulled the trigger anyways. The sandwiches were packed full of meat and were a little messy to eat (in a good way). I def preferred the pork over the bulgogi beef. I would rate this a 3 as in being neutral, but I haven't giving the full experience of trying out a lot of their dishes. I'll write based on our Vietnamese coffee! I really enjoy iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk (obviously)! It's on the strong coffee taste as it should be and the condensed milk soothes the strong taste. I order it with light ice just because I like the extra coffee! (No I'm not being cheap!) I'll post a picture next time since I finished the coffee! read more
