What can I say, Kurt was among the best of the best. We were looking for someone to skim coat and texture our ceilings after we removed popcorn ceiling as well as patch some drywall holes around the house. The initial talk with Kurt was a pleasure. Before we moved forward with the job or agreed upon anything, Kurt was giving me tips and tricks to remove the popcorn ceiling as it was my first time. From there on out I knew we would be in good hands. When it came to the job, Kurt was extremely up front, informative and polite. He was on time and when he was there, he was busting his butt. Our ceilings were definitely in rough shape when we bought the house. Talking to Kurt and going over the house, I think he took it personally to make sure my family and I had the best quality work in our forever home. When the job was done, my wife and I were blown away at the overall quality, and the transformation he was able to provide. My father was extremely impressed as well, and had Kurt do a job for him as well. My family and I truly would like to thank you again for all the work Kurt. Will look no where else when we need more work done. read more

Communicated clearly and had a very fair price. Managed to do the work in one day to make it easier on me missing work. I would absolutely work with again. read more

Kurt was fantastic. He communicated with me in a timely manor. His work is outstanding. Great attention to detail. Listened to my concerns and gave honest answers. I would use him again if I needed any drywall work done. Great value, great prices. He replaced a potion of drywall in my garage that was removed to do some plumbing work. He also repaired a golf ball size hole in my entryway area. Both are better than new. Highly recommended and I don't do give too many reviews. read more

We recently had our kitchen counters and backsplash demo'd and unfortunately our drywall was too damaged and had to get taken down to the studs. Since we are already in the middle of an expensive kitchen upgrade, we were really trying to keep additional costs down, but in the end did not feel comfortable putting up new drywall ourselves. Kurt responded promptly, asked important questions about the new backsplash that was going to be installed so he could make sure the proper drywall/finish was used, and even gave me some small things we could to ourselves prior to him coming to save on some of the labor costs, which I really appreciated. He is also the only one out of the three estimates I got that came to actually look at the space and take some measurements before giving me an estimate. His pricing was very fair and he even did a little extra work blending out a couple areas that the demo crew (A different company) had messed up. I recommend Kurt and the O.M.A crew for any of your drywall needs! read more

Kurt, the owner, is such a great communicator. He repaired numerous holes for me of varying sizes throughout a rental property I have after having a slab leak. He kept me informed throughout the process, sending pictures every day of the work he had completed. He did an amazing job and demonstrated such professionalism. He arrived when he said he would, explained everything and my tenants were highly complementary of his work and his demeanor. He was fair with his prices and never hassled me about getting his payment. I can really recommend him without hesitation. It is unusual to find his level of service these days and he earned it the hard way by doing such a great job. I highly recommend his company- you will be glad you hired him. read more

Kurt is outstanding. Wonderful to work with. Gave us detailed quote/estimate. Always arrived when he said he would. Was extremely flexible with our changing schedule. Educated us on things we needed to know. Oh - and did excellent drywall work! I would hire / recommend him to anyone. read more

Kurt and team does great work. Kurt is something of a perfectionist and he doesn't accept anything but the best from his crew. They were polite, mindful, respectful and always wanted to make sure I was satisfied at the end of every day. I have a few more projects to tackle in the future, and I will definitely be looking to rehire Kurt. Even though Kurt had an injury, they got the work done on schedule. The price I paid was what I was quoted, excluding some extra work I had done outside the scope of the project, and I believe that was fair as well. One of the main reasons I hired this team was knowing that Kurt would be on the job every day, all day, and didn't just manage teams of workers of potentially various quality. The people he brought in to help due to his injury were knowledgeable and seemed like they had a long working relationship. I highly recommend this company. I had a 12x12 room needing the ceiling and one wall sheet rocked and prepared for primer. In addition there was another 8' section also needing a wall and Sheetrock, and a bathroom that needed a quarter of the ceiling replaced. read more

The owner was an excellent communicator and hot me a quote right away by my description and photos I sent. He showed up as promised and completed the work quickly and efficiently while asking questions to make sure I was aware of what he was doing through each step. The patch was perfect and he finished earlier than expected which resulted in me paying less than the quote. Amazing! Very happy with the whole process, would use him again. read more

After changing the scope of the project twice from initial quote, Kurt rolled with it and kept it professional. Couldn't be happier with the drywall in my garage. Already have plans to have him back later to repair damage from a roof leak this winter. Would recommend. read more

I used OMA Drywall to repair some damage caused by the improper installation of our AC. Our AC leaked onto our ceiling, causing it to stain and warped the drywall. I contacted Kurt and he was very responsive. He responded quickly and was able to set up an appointment right away. Kurt showed up promptly and gave me an estimate. He was able to work with my schedule and once the project was completed, I had no complaints. Kurt and his partner did a great job. They completed the job in two days and left the area clean. I would def use OMA Drywall again. read more

I had a large hole in my bathroom ceiling from water damage from a leaky roof. Kurt and John were very courteous, worked hard, and did a wonderful job patching it. The original estimate was right on target, and the cost was reasonable for the necessary work. The hole was over a bathtub. They took great care not to damage the tub as well. A job well done! read more

Kurt did a fantastic job fixing a 10" x 10" cut-out in our ceiling. Impressive job texturing to match the existing texture. We were really nervous because it's in a highly visible part of our home and you cannot even see where the cut out was. Very professional, knowledgeable, and had a great way to protect from dust. I would highly recommend Kurt for any of your drywall work. I have already recommended him on NextDoor to some people looking for someone to fix similar issues. read more

Kurt did an amazing job fixing a small area on my ceiling that needed patching and texturing after a stair remodel. He made the effort to meet with us in person before coming up with an estimate, and communicated clearly what needed to be done. I have nothing but great things to say about Kurt and crew. He responded quickly, had a reasonable estimate and did a superb job on the repairs. In fact, he went far beyond what was necessary to ensure a perfect finish. Just as importantly, he was on time, worked quickly and was very careful not to make a mess, dirty the house or disrupt things. I simply could not have asked for better service. I recommend him to anyone needing drywall repairs. read more

Kurt responded quickly to my request for a quote. After going over my requirements it was decided that one of Kurt's other workers would take care of things. On the scheduled date (and time) Kurt arrived and informed me he would be doing the work due to his worker being out sick. Kurt charges more for the work he does but honored the original quote. He was quick to get started and kept me informed of what he was doing along the way. The job was done in a timely manner and met my expectations. I will definitely keep OMA Drywall in mind for future needs. read more

Kurt and his brother John did texturing and patching work for us in several rooms where we had old outlets to cover, doorbells to remove, etc. They also retextured an entire wall of the master bedroom. They did a great job of matching textures in each room and each spot, which requires skill since this is an older home and each room's texture is a little different. Kurt communicated well, was courteous, and was timely with the work. We recommend them for drywall work without reservation. read more

Kurt (owner of OMA Drywall) is a master at texturing walls. He does beautiful work. If walls or ceilings have to be opened up, he can repair them so that they looks seamless. He can also make problem areas on the walls or ceiling disappear. I had some bumps on my walls where prior remodeling had not been done as well as it could have been. After Kurt did his magic, these issues were gone. Kurt shows up on time, works hard, cleans up when he is done, and is very reliable. I highly recommend this firm. read more

I used Kurt and OMA Drywall twice over the past few months for some drywall patching and texturing. One of the jobs was to fix a couple of cutouts on the ceiling due to plumbing work and make it smooth to match the rest of the ceiling level - very difficult to do. The other job was to match existing skip trowel texture on several wall cutouts due to electric work. I am completely satisfied with the jobs and need to highlight that working with Kurt has been a pleasure - he communicates very well, keeps me informed of the progress, works extremely cleanly and charges reasonably. The quality of the jobs was very high and they were completed timely, cleanly and with no stress to the home owner. I would definitely consider using Kurt's expertise and services in the future. read more

I am in the middle of a "forever" remodel of my house in Pittsburg CA. I contacted Kurt and explained my needs to him. He stopped by, checked out my kitchen and we made a deal to get my sheetrock walls and ceiling finished, then smoothed over to match the texture that was already there. He also did an outstanding job of capping off and finishing the interior of a new sliding glass door and bay window that was installed. Kurt communicated well with his schedule, we worked out a deal that he would come work when he was slow with other jobs. This kept the prices low for me, which was awesome. Kurt was very clean and meticulous, even though my place is in shambles, he always laid out tarps and cleaned up any mess that he made while working. 5 stars for a local guy who does great work, respected my house, understood my needs, communicated well and always petted my English Bulldog! :) read more

I called Kurt to come in and take a look at a ceiling and bathroom I needed texturized. He came in, listened to our needs and gave me a reasonable quote. Better yet, he came a few days later and got the job done. Very nice to work with. Would definitely recommend Jimmy others. read more

I hired Kurt at OMA Drywall to tear out a sheetrock box ceiling in my kitchen and knock down a wall. He came out and gave me a reasonable quote and explained the job in detail including all possibilities of what I might expect to find when my ceiling was finally removed. It turns out Kurt was right I needed additional framing before the new ceiling could go in. I also needed additional sheetrock behind my cabinets once they were pulled out and additional sheetrock because of plumbing issues in the laundry room. He was able to do all the extra work all at a reasonable price. Kurt and his brother John were always on time.....polite... professional.....and the quality of work was outstanding. He matched the old texture on my 1973 ceiling, and made the new ceiling match up perfectly. His crew was very clean and they left no mess behind, unlike the other contractors who were working on my house at the same time. I never worried about the job OMA was doing for one moment, and instantly fell at ease with Kurt's knowledge and experience. If you have a drywall patch job, or major sheetrock project....I would highly recommend OMA Drywall. Rare to find a company that provides excellent service at a reasonable prices, shows up when they are supposed to....and completes the job when the say it will be done. Remodeling is hard enough without sweating out the contactor..... you will be happy you hired OMA Drywall to do your job.... I promise. I don't normally do reviews but the experience I had hiring this company prompted me to write a review. read more
