All dogs are required to be up to date on their vaccinations, which puts my mind at ease! If I could rate the Omaha Dog Bar a 100 stars I would. We started going here off an on to get our shy dogs accustomed to dogs. They truly began to grow fond of the workers and the space and maybe the dogs so we started going more often and began to get to know all the amazing people at the Omaha Dog Bar. They truly care about each and every dog that walks into their front doors. They offer a bunch of amenities such as birthday parties, holiday events, drinks, breed meet ups, and so much more. They are very inclusive which I absolutely love. They make every person and dog feel welcome and safe. Our dogs have been going to day care that they offer Monday through Thursday and it has really helped them become more confident and out of their shell. They get so excited once they get to the Dog Bar. If you are ever in the area or want to get your dog out and about this is such an amazing place. read more

Literally the coolest concept for a dog meet up area that I've ever experienced. I did not bring my dog here today, but you don't have to even have a dog to come visit all the puppies and watch them play all over the yard. They have a ton of seating and shaded seating out in the yard. They also have a window where you can order alcoholic drinks (we had a mimosa and Bloody Mary this morning), mock-tails, nonalcoholic drinks, human food, and pet snacks. There is a little eating area that you have to eat at so the dogs don't get excited, but drinks are allowed in the yard, and we love to sit under a shaded tree and watch all the dogs play. Had a membership and it was taken away because my dog is not fixed. Did not even give me a warning just came in one day and they cancelled my membership. We were going 5 days/week and they wouldn't work with me at all or even make an exception so that I could get him fixed. I called them to try to get this fixed and the manager hung up on me. read more

I can't say enough good things about Omaha Dog Bar. The love and care they give to my three dogs truly shines through. Their report cards are always spot-on with my dogs' personalities, which tells me they really pay attention and genuinely care. I hated having to return to the office, but knowing my pups get to come here twice a week to play makes it so much easier. The best part of all is that you don't need to have a dog with you to get in. This is a full accessible bar that anyone over 21+ can partake in! One of my favorite aspects of ODB is the killer views of downtown Omaha from a south view. You really get to see it all. Oh my gosh. We are so lucky and thankful for the Omaha Dog Bar. We had the shy-iest little pups and doggie daycare has really opened them up to their playful self's we knew they had in them. Our pups go once a week and truly get excited every Tuesday when they hop in the car! ODB has wonderful drinks and daily specials. Another thing we LOVE are the speciality meet ups that change monthly. We attend the Shy/Senior Dog meet up along with the Small Dog (25 pounds or less) meet up multiple times a month. With our dogs starting to open up more and enjoy the daycare and meet ups, we recently signed up for the yearly membership, so affordable and it comes with extra guest passes and baths! I have been taking my dog to the Omaha dog bar since it opened. We tried to go today and way too much time going through the questions who are you what's your dogs name how do you spell your name, I cant find your information all stacking up the line behind us of other people trying to get in. Now it seems we aren't in the system. They didn't know we existed. I understand the need to confirm our dog's vaccination records but it has always been seamless In the past. She never found our records. To top that off while trying to get past the front staff another dog gets aggressive with my dog while trying to be with our group. I left. We don't seem to be welcome there after no issues ever before. I know others have had similar issues in the past. I know I'm only one customer so who cares. But I'm one customer that will never go back and will let people know of the horrible experience. What a fantastic concept for a hang out spot. I appreciate that they take the health & safety of their canine clientele seriously & require a copy of their vaccines to allow them to enter. The outside is charming & has a great mural. The entrance is clean, well organized & has a variety of items (many local) to purchase. There is a bar with amazing choices as well as local foods. Love this place! This is great place to take your doggo to run around and play with other dogs while you get to enjoy some food and drinks! The view of the Omaha skyline is amazing from the outdoor play area! It's a great space with tons of area for dogs to play and for us humans to sit and chill (while trying not to worry if your dog is causing trouble.) They have multiple single use restrooms, an indoor lounge, food & drinks, and a little store up front when you check in. The staff does a great job keeping the premises clean and they have a ton of bowls to fill with water and blankets for your dog. It's also pretty much street parking, so if it's your first time, prepare for that. The pizza they serve is from Tasty Pizza, which is a great local Omaha staple! read more

I've been twice now and can't say enough good things! The first time was as part of an event for a local dog rescue. The space is clean and inviting with plenty of seating both inside and out. My dog loved running around and meeting new people. He was more interested in them than the other dogs! Enjoyed some drinks and snacks while there. The pretzel bites with stone ground mustard were a perfect pairing with the beer selection. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. One would think this business was run by a teenager that just had their phone taken away. My wife had a bad experience here. She was slightly early (she yes, arrived slightly late to a yoga class) but instead of being allowed to wait inside for the business to open (she would have had to wait twenty minutes) she was turned away and her and my little puppy had to walk back to the car in the pouring rain. Apparently it is unreasonable to allow someone to wait inside a business that is open (it was open to a yoga class) and allow people to wait there. It is preferable to make them wait outside in the rain. Next, we made a comment about this on google reviews. The owner then proceeded to write back in sarcastic language. There was no apology, no trying to make it up to the customer for their reasonable request, there was simply an attempt to pick a fight with their customer on social media. My first experience at the Omaha Dog Bar was on a Saturday for Yoga with Power Life. It was overall an amazing experience. They check IDs because you have to be 21+ to be there and when you first walk in there is an area where you can hang your dog leash/harness. I attended without a dog but this place sure does make me want to get a dog! There were so many dogs running and playing freely outside while we did yoga. Their drink selection is great and features many local places. I also heard from a friend how great their food tasted. I highly suggest coming here with or without a dog. Really fun and cool place for dogs and people. The facility was clean and everyone was friendly, including employees. The leash free area was a crazy thought to me at first, but you could immediately see the pawsitive (sorry, had to) impact it had and how happy every dog was! My little chihuahua had no issues in the main area and other dogs weren't bothered by her either. She's pretty friendly and outgoing. This is my favorite place in Omaha! Everything about ODB is perfection. There's a huge outdoor area that's completely turf, which is way more sanitary and you never have to worry about mud. You can bring your pup when it's cold, warm, raining or snowing and they've got the right setup. There's also a great indoor area that's awesome for letting the dogs in to either cool off or warm up depending on the weather. There's always a couple workers walking around monitoring things to make sure everyone's safe and playing well, and also ensuring all dog waste is cleaned up. There's pretty much always a place to sit back and relax while you watch your pup play, and the fire pits they have are great when it's cooler out. We've brought our dog to play so many times, but we've also done daycare and I really hope they open up more days to do daycare! He had a BLAST and I knew he was being well taken care of, had plenty of room to play, and got a little down time to rest up before playing again. The price is reasonable especially considering all they offer, for literally all day. There are 3 solo gender-neutral bathrooms that are always extremely clean and stocked, which is honestly something you don't always get so it's very appreciated. There are daily drink specials and they rotate their cocktails every so often to mix it up, and they're always so good! Every staff member is friendly and attentive, and even after a few times going they remembered us and our pup. I really appreciate that it's women-owned and LGBTQ-friendly, so I feel safe there. It really is the perfect place - dogs, good people, and drinks. What more could you want? read more

Place is a great concept but poorly run and downright dangerous for dogs. They sadly seem more focused on making money than creating a fun environment for dogs where they can play safely. The "bark rangers" they have are essentially just for show, and they entrust people to watch after their own dogs. Unfortunately, some people have dogs that are not well behaved and are prone to attacking other dogs. I witnessed several instances of other dogs being attacked on different visits without any recourse from the Omaha Dog Bar as far as asking the owners to leave or leash their dogs. This was unsettling but I kept coming back since I wasn't overly worried for my own dogs safety in these situations due to keeping her near me since she's on the smaller side and usually just enjoys lounging around rather than running and playing. Unfortunately, this did not prevent a situation where another dog came over and viciously attacked her to the point where the vet later acknowledged she was nearly killed. The owner of the attacking dog was nowhere to be found before we left, and the Omaha Dog Bar's owners response was that they unfortunately can't control all the other dogs behavior and we should just leave if we don't like the possibility our dog could be attacked. Which is poor customer service at best and downright negligent at worst. Sadly, we were told this same dog attacked two more dogs after we left, and there was still no recourse from Omaha Dog Bar. Long story short, be very careful about taking your dog here because there's a high likelihood that other poorly trained or violent dogs will also be present with no supervision. Their assertation of this being a managed and supervised dog park is a mirage. So, if you care about your dog, just know that you are paying money to roll the dice at Omaha Dog Bar. There's plenty of other places where people actually care about animals that are much more worth your money. read more

I'm hesitant to write this review- however I would like to caution dog owners from bringing their beloved animals here. I brought my dogs here this evening and while we attempted to enjoy our time we witnessed a dog attack another dog to the point that there could have been life-sustaining injuries. At no point did the aggressors dog owner attempt to reconcile the situation. Shortly after, a manager approached our group stating that the objectively aggressive dog was new to the dog bar and learning. Within 10 minutes of the initial attack the same dog was targeting other dogs. A group member approached a bark ranger to express their hesitation about the aggressive dog remaining at the dog bar. We were once again told that the dog was merely playing. During this conversation, the same aggressive dog attacked another dog to the point of possible injury. After consensus from guests, management finally asked the owner to leave. The lack of accountability from management to ensure aggressive dogs and owners are held accountable was upsetting at best and deplorable at worst. If your dog is attacked here, be prepared to be spoken to in a dismissive manner and watch as objectively aggressive dogs are allowed to continue targeting other pets. One dog attack should be enough to remove, but a dog "learning to socialize" will trump your pets safety, according to The Omaha Dog Bar standard. read more
