All the candy I bought here was expired. I bought the candy April 29th 2025, and more than half the candy I bought was expired. Some were even expired almost a year before that! As you can see in the pictures, some expired on October (10/2024) of 2024! The more recent one was from April 25th 2025. which is still expired and definitely should not be sold. Seeing as how the prices are so expensive, they should definitely check their inventory and throw away all the old dusty candy. read more

Quality has gone extremely downhill ! This is the last time I'm ordering piñatas from here. I used to get all my daughters piñatas here, but this was the last time. I wanted a simple pumpkin piñata, nothing over the top. Besides not being ready when I asked for it to be ready, it was still not ready the following day when they said it would be ready. It was incredibly unprofessional that it would not be ready when the order was placed. And I came over two weeks to order it, and asked if they would be able to have it done because I understand how much work goes into it. And if they were going to be unable to fulfill my piñata order they could have just said it and I would have understood. I didn't pay $98 for a piñata to have this outcome. I drove out from Central Valley to come get this piñata also, because I knew their quality and trusted them. There was no remorse or apologizing for not having it ready. At my party, It fell apart immediately when I hung it on the string to have all my kids hit it. And I had barely put any candy in it. Not even 1/4 of the way full. Was not heavy one bit, very disappointing for myself and all of the kids. Had to tie string all around the piñata in order to allow some kids to at least has a few hits to it. Definitely never ever going to come here again. Incredibly sad because I've been buying here for almost 4 years. read more

I've been coming here since 2020 for my chiloso candies and chamoy ingredients. I used to get this brand of tajin in bags for $5 and I'd stock up on over 20 bags and buy candies in bulk. Today they only had the bottle 300grams for $10 and had the flavored ones 800 for $10. I asked the guy why the price is the same for less products. He said I was right and going to call and ask if he could sell it to me for $6. The lady said no because I'm paying for the bottle..... literally they're both in a bottle... I feel like they're scamming so I'm going to look for a new candy shop to support. My kids like Taki's, and we recently discovered Bubulubu (chocolate covered marshmallow with strawberry jelly). I found them both here! Bubulubu we couldn't even find at Cardenas. Lots of candy and pinatas and friendly service. I asked for Bubulubu and was offered 2 sizes. I didn't get a chance to look at the pinatas but they had small spiderman at the front and Dragonball Z. I've seen a Cocomelon hanging out front before so hope you find the character you are looking for. They seem well stocked. Easy to find what you're looking for here. Came here on Saturday to get a piñata for my nieces birthday. As soon as we walked in the door we where greeted and helped right away. Everything is on Shelves and easy to see what they have. All the piñatas are hung up where you can see them. You will not have a hard time here looking around the store it is well organized. Piñata per the cashier was from Mexico and it was a hit! Took about 15-20 minutes for the kids ranging from 18months to 8 years old to finally crack it open! My boys are both having a double party for their bday and one requested a Batman Piñata and the other Black Panther which had been hard to come by at a good price. I went to another shop before walking into Dulceria Colorin and they were charging $45 for a large piñata where at Dulceria Colorin it's $28 dollars. Anyways the gentleman who was working there was very nice and helpful he made my day when he said yes I have black Panther in the size I was looking for! Rude customer service. After I shopped here I felt it was a rip off. Low quality stuffs over all and they say every thing is "Made in Mexico" which I doubt. Made in Mexico will be of better quality and craftsmanship. After I bought the Pinata, I noticed part of it was broken - the guy explained, " It comes from Mexico, what do you expect?" The lady in the store who does not speak English understood what I said and replaced it. I will never step in this store again. I really doubt how this store got such good reviews in yelp. I can not believe the customer service can ever be any better - it messed my evening. Also - prices on pinatas are never marked - it seems they say what they want. I wanted to do something special for my Hello Kitty-loving friend this year, and I thought she might enjoy destroying a piñata. I first thought about getting one from Party City but theirs seemed kind of small based on the descriptions online. After entering "piñata" on Yelp, I happened upon Dulceria Colorin. To my surprise, the store is located in what I dub "the Dollar Tree plaza"! I usually buy things for work at Dollar Tree and, in the past, workout at 24 Hour Fitness. I hardly looked around, so I wasn't aware Dulceria Colorin existed. I had seen a picture of a Hello Kitty piñata on their Facebook page and was hoping they'd have one for sale. I wasn't confident it would still be be there since they apparently do custom orders 1-2 weeks in advance and I didn't think many people would want to destroy Hello Kitty. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and asked whether I had any questions. I walked around and just a couple of steps in I was pleasantly surprised to see not one but two Hello Kitty piñatas! They also had a lot of other characters such as Mario, Pikachu, and Mickey Mouse. The cashier answered all the questions I had about piñata prices (about $35 for the large piñatas) and what a good spot would be for carving a hole to fill the piñata. He also thoughtfully asked if I had any candy to fill it, of which they have plenty as evidenced by the store's name. In other words, the piñatas aren't prefilled, so the price doesn't include the cost of candy. I think that's pretty typical since it makes sense to personalize the filling based on your participants. I filled Hello Kitty with Hi-chews, Ghirardelli minis, White Rabbit candy, Coca cola hard candy, and jelly fruit cups from Target and McKee Seafood Market. I'm not a particularly festive person, so it's unlikely I will visit again unless I want Mexican candy. However, I would highly recommend people come here if they are looking for party supplies like piñatas, balloons, and decorations. The piñata I bought was really sturdy and probably around 30-40 inches tall! read more

I had Payasito Colorin for my Baby Birthday party this weekend and it was a total Hit!!! I love how he incorporated everyone in his show!!! It was very very funny to see from a little kid to a grandma laugh they butts off at the silliness of this clown!!! Not only does he do shows but his Candy shop has very reasonable prices and you can basically everything there!!! You can find any Mexican childhood candy you could possibly think of at this shop! They sell them in bulk and individual pieces you can put in a bag. They have some of the coolest piñatas I have ever seen, you can't find these anywhere else! I saw a jack skellington, frida Khalo, and even beer bottle piñatas here. I believe they can make custom ones too. The owner is super friendly and helpful. We bought our piñata and candy for it and our goodies bags and everyone was surprised to see some of them in the bags because they're hard to find, like watermelon Lucas!!
