They take care of all their birds so well! It's rare to find stores these days that care so much about their animals and most were only a few months old. Every single bird in there was sociable and adjusted well to being handled, the prices are steeper than other pet stores but you honestly get what you pay for, unlimited grooming and health guarantee as well is hard to come by as birds are sensitive. Trevor helped me and my friend out and was super knowledgable, friendly and kind. The star of the store was their 60 year old umbrella cockatoo Gretchen- this is how you know they take care of their birds so well. The store always has an entire wall full of toys, a seed buffet to customize for your birds preference and boarding for birds if you ever needed to go out of town. This will be my new store for any bird needs and I definitely recommend!

ALMOST KILLED MY BIRD! GROOMING GONE WRONG! Try Magnolia Bird Farm- locations in Anaheim and Riverside....!!!!!!!!!! Between my friend and I, we have adopted 5 birds. We have give to Omar's for all our bird's needs-all this amounting to thousands of dollars! But more than the money invested is the trust we have put on on Omar's staff. We trust that their toys are the best; that their food is the most nutritional; that they provide the best care. That all changed when one of my bird's blood-feathers was accidentally clipped by a member of the staff. Now, I accept the that it was an accident- what I refuse to accept is the owner's (OMAR) response--lack thereof! I reached out to him a couple of days ago and yet to hear from him.... So for those who do not know, a broken feather is a frightening and painful experience- If a bird blood-feather bleeds out enough, it can be fatal! The veterinarian told me that a blood feather was clipped: asked if I had just groomed my bird. I replied that I had taken her to Omar's for grooming two weeks prior. Vet said that, luckily, damage was at tip of feather that the bird was bleeding out slowly. There was a considerable amount of dry blood under her wing. (FYI-never have I groomed or taken my bird to get groomed anywhere but Omar's..!) For the last several weeks, I have to deal with the stress of my bird dealing with this ordeal... I have called off work; left work early; gone to vets! But the stress of feeling like you are going to lose your bird is above all a horrible feeling. I love my bird- as I love every-single-one of my pets! The pain and stress Omar's has cause my bird and I are reprehensible. I will never again go to Omar's to get my birds groomed! In regard to the shop, itself, I love Diana!! But the truth is, they are always busy and under-staffed... Always!!!! It always made me anxious to go to Omar's because staff always seemed overwhelmed with the workload! This, ultimately, can potentially have detrimental effect on the well-being of the birds. Case in point- the day I took my birds for grooming, they were short-staffed, and my bird was groomed by one tech rather than two! The situation at Omar's immediately and directly harmed my bird! Like I emailed Omar... they do not sell toys, they sold me a bird! A bird whom I love!!! I trusted Omar's to care for my birds but they let one of mine down!! Omar, finally, replied and refused to take responsibility for injury to my bird. He denied that my bird was injured at his store. He was more concerned with this YELP review than my bird! The birds that his staff claims he lives for... JOKE! Omar is a real estate agent! I bet he treats his home-buying clients with much more care and concern! The information I shared here is based on personal experience and veterinarian diagnosis.

This place is amazing. The variety of merchandise is great, and the prices are very reasonable. The best part, though, are the people. Incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive. Both beginners and experts will find them invaluable resources. As a birder, I love this place! So many items for birds and garden items to attract more birds. Feeders, bird baths, seed. Beautiful chimes and Whirly things for your yard. I spent a couple of hours here enjoying all the store has to offer.

we are extremely unhappy because we called twice to see what time grooming ends and not once did they mention they are closing early! we arrived at 2pm over the phone they said from 11am to 3:30pm ! very disappointed because its an hour away from home !! also beware in another yelp review they said a bird died from getting groomed here !!!

This little guy kept hopping off his perch, then would stand at my feet waiting to get picked up, super cute!

I've been interested in getting a Pionus, so I decided to check out this store to get close to one and ask some questions. I was never greeted when I walked in and was never acknowledged the entire hour I was there. Overall this place seems ok, healthy friendly birds.

If possible, please update grooming hours on website!

Yes they have many babies in the store right now. Very friendly, they walk up to you in the store

    Do they have african greys?

    Yes $9000+

Do they have lovebirds for sale .I've been looking everywhere for one?

You would have to call amd ask or reserve one. Their inventory changes daily.

I was just wondering what are the prices of the cockatiels at this location?

    299.99+

Do they have doves for sale? Any kind of doves

Yes, they have wild doves in the smaller cages against the window.

I've been wanting to bring my baby sister her who is a year old (she LOVES birds) but I'm not sure if it would be safe/ (or ok) enough to bring her?

She should be fine. She doesn't have to touch the birds she can just look at them. As long as you are supervising her.

I've been bringing my dog here for daycare and boarding, and overall I've had a really positive…read moreexperience. To be transparent, my very first visit had a few hiccups. I was thankful that they accepted my county vaccination paperwork and that I was able to board my dog privately until she was spayed (which I did complete). There were some initial issues related to camera access and paperwork that were a bit frustrating at the time. The camera issue itself ultimately appeared to be more of a technical problem, but the initial communication at the front desk left me feeling like my concerns weren't fully heard. Looking back, it seems like something that could have been easily clarified with better communication. That said, coming from a customer service background, I believe it's important to give businesses the opportunity to address concerns before forming a final opinion. What really stood out to me was how the management team handled everything. They reached out, listened, and took my concerns seriously. They made the effort to explain, correct, and improve the experience, and followed up in a way that felt genuine and accountable. The issue was addressed quickly, and I truly believe they used the feedback as an opportunity to improve, which I really respect. Since then, I've continued bringing my dog here regularly - including overnight stays - and the difference has been clear. The staff is attentive, kind, and very in tune with the dogs. They recognize her, look forward to seeing her, and consistently keep me informed about how she's doing, including any concerns. She is treated with patience and care. They've also gone above and beyond in ways that meant a lot to me. They honored a daycare promotion I had missed when I first enrolled, and during a recent visit when my dog had been sprayed by a skunk, the team was incredibly attentive and helped clean her thoroughly and thoughtfully. That level of care made a stressful situation so much easier. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and the team members who work directly with the dogs genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. I have no doubt that they have the dogs' best interests in mind, even knowing how challenging it can be to manage so many different personalities. No place is perfect, and dogs can be unpredictable, but what matters most to me is how a business responds when something doesn't go as planned. In this case, they made it right, and that's why they've become my go-to for daycare and boarding. I'm very thankful to have found them, and my dog clearly feels comfortable there, which says everything.

After a previous negative experience, my fiancé and I waited several months before bringing our…read moredog, Posie, back to daycare. We decided to give this facility another chance because she genuinely loves playing with other dogs, and daycare seemed very different from overnight boarding. Before returning, we made it very clear to staff that because of our previous experience, we wanted to be contacted immediately about any issues involving Posie, no matter how minor. Staff assured us they would communicate with us, and based on those conversations, we felt comfortable trying daycare again. We had a few uneventful visits, but our most recent experience raised serious concerns and brought back many of the same issues we experienced before. We dropped Posie off around 2:30 PM for Day Camp. Around 3:55 PM, I checked the daycare cameras and noticed that she was nowhere to be found in the large playgroup area that we had paid for. Concerned, we contacted the facility to ask where she was. Initially, we were told that Posie had been placed in a holding area while staff handled transfers and departures. Later, a supervisor called us and explained that because Posie is "rambunctious," she had been separated into holding crates while staff completed other responsibilities. During the conversation, he stated that she had been there since arrival. This was frustrating because it meant our dog had spent a significant portion of her daycare visit separated from the group without our knowledge. Had this been communicated to us, we could have made an informed decision about whether daycare was the right fit that day. What was particularly concerning was that it appeared Posie's situation was only addressed after we noticed she was missing from the cameras and contacted the facility ourselves. While we were still on the phone with staff, we observed Posie being brought back into the play area on a leash. This left us wondering whether she would have remained in the holding area even longer had we not checked the cameras and called. When I expressed concern about how long Posie had been confined, the supervisor focused on correcting my estimate, explaining that because her drop-off was at 2:30 PM, she had "technically" only been there for about 90 minutes. The issue was never whether it was 90 minutes or two hours. The issue was that our dog had spent a significant portion of the daycare session separated from the activities we were paying for without any communication to us. What made the explanation confusing was that Posie has attended daycare here multiple times, and staff had always given us positive feedback about her interactions with other dogs. We had never been told she was disruptive, difficult to manage, or unable to participate in daycare. The first time her behavior was presented as a concern was after we discovered she had been separated from group play, which left us confused by the sudden change in messaging. Another part of the conversation that left me frustrated was when the supervisor told us that it seemed the facility was unable to meet our needs and suggested that perhaps this was not the right place for our dog. We had not yet spoken with management, nor had anyone attempted to address the concerns we were raising before suggesting that we take our business elsewhere. This also brought back concerns from a previous daycare visit. On that occasion, Posie came home with a wound on her leg that our veterinarian indicated was consistent with a bite or tooth abrasion from another dog. Thankfully it was not severe, but the skin was punctured and required monitoring. We were never contacted about the injury, and when we asked staff about it afterward, we were told there was no report of any incident occurring. That previous experience was one of the main reasons we stopped bringing Posie here for several months. We eventually decided to give the facility another chance because she enjoys socializing with other dogs and hoped the prior incident was isolated. Unfortunately, after this most recent experience, many of the same concerns resurfaced. Another concern is the overall level of supervision during busy periods. During our recent phone call, staff repeatedly described the environment as chaotic and explained that they were managing multiple responsibilities at once. As a customer, that left me wondering whether there are enough staff members available to supervise the number of dogs present while simultaneously handling transfers, cleaning, pickups, and other duties. Finally, during the last two daycare visits, Posie was returned to us completely soaked and smelling strongly of urine. We were told that staff regularly clean and mop the play areas, but both times we felt the need to bathe her immediately upon arriving home because of the odor. I am currently waiting to speak with management and hope these concerns are taken seriously.
